1 Aqui tazetto kaom katoeng kruek zaehoikung hoi Neginoth hoiah sak moe, Shemenith lok baktiah sak han ih David ih Saam laa. Aw Angraeng, na palungphuihaih hoiah na zoeh hmah, palungphuihaih hoiah na thuitaek hmah.
For the leader; with instrumental music on the sheminith. A psalm of David. Rebuke me not, Lord, in your anger, punish me not in your wrath.
2 Aw Angraeng, tha ka cak ai pongah, na tahmen ah: Aw Angraeng, kai ih ahuhnawk loe angthlong hlawk boih boeh pongah, na hoihsak ah.
Lord, be gracious to me in my weakness. Heal me Lord, for racked is my body;
3 Ka hinghaih doeh thazok sut boeh: toe aw Angraeng, nang loe nasetto maw na oh han vop?
all of me utterly racked. Why do you wait so long, Lord?
4 Aw Angraeng, amlaem ah loe, ka hinghaih na pahlong ah; na tahmenhaih rang hoiah na pahlong ah.
Turn, Lord, rescue me; save me, because of your love.
5 Tipongah tih nahaeloe duek pacoengah loe nang poekhaih to om mak ai boeh: mi mah maw taprong thung hoiah nang khaeah kawnhaih lok thui tih? (Sheol h7585)
For in death none can call you to mind; in Sheol who can praise you? (Sheol h7585)
6 Ka hanghaih loiah kang pho sut boeh; aqum puek ka qahhaih mikkhraetui mah ka iihkhun to pazawk moe, ka iihhaih ahmuen doeh ka mikkhraetui hoiah ka suisak boih boeh.
I am so weary of sighing. All the night I make my bed swim, and wet my couch with my tears.
7 Palungset loiah ka mik thazok sut boeh moe, ka misanawk pongah ka mik amtueng ai boeh.
My eyes swollen with grief; from weeping caused by my foes.
8 Nangcae kasae hmuen sah kaminawk, kai khae hoi tacawt o lai ah, tipongah tih nahaeloe Angraeng mah ka qahhaih lok to ang thaih pae boeh.
Begone, workers of wrong, for the Lord has heard my loud weeping,
9 Tahmen ka hnikhaih lok to Angraeng mah ang thaih pae; ka qahhaih lok Angraeng mah ang thaih pae boeh.
the Lord has heard my entreaty, the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 Ka misanawk boih loe dawnraihaih hoiah azatpaw o nasoe loe; azatpawhaih hoiah hnuk angnawn o nasoe.
My foes will be stricken with terror, brought to shame and dismay in a moment.
