Saam 57
1 Katoeng kruek kami hanah. Anih ih bungmu to paro hmah. Saul khae hoi thlungkhaw thungah cawnh nathuem ih. David ih miktam. Aw Sithaw, ka nuiah palungnathaih tawn raeh, ka nuiah palungnathaih tawn raeh! Hae raihaihnawk laem ai karoek to, ka hinghaih nang khaeah ni abuep; ue, na pakhrae tahlip ah ka buep han.
To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities be overpast.
2 Kai han hmuennawk boih sahkung Sithaw, Kasang koek Sithaw khaeah ka hang han.
I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth [all things] for me.
3 Anih mah van hoiah patoeh ueloe, kai caak han koeh kami mah kasaethuihaih thung hoiah na pahlong tih. Sithaw mah a palungnathaih hoi a loktang lok to patoeh tih. (Selah)
He shall send from heaven, and save me [from] the reproach of him that would swallow me up. (Selah) God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 Ka hinghaih loe kaipui salakah oh; kai loe hmawsaeng kaminawk salakah kang song, nihcae ih haa loe tayae hoi palaa baktiah oh, palainawk loe kanoe parai sumsen baktiah oh.
My soul [is] among lions: [and] I lie [even among] them that are set on fire, [even] the sons of men, whose teeth [are] spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Aw Sithaw, nang loe, vannawk ranui khoek to lensawk nasoe; na lensawkhaih loe long boenghaih khoek to om nasoe.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.
6 Nihcae loe ka caehhaih loklam ah palok to payang o, ka hinghaih thazok sut boeh; nihcae loe ka hmaa ah tangqom takaeh o moe, angmacae ih tangqom thungah a krak o. (Selah)
They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen [themselves]. (Selah)
7 Aw Sithaw, ka palungthin loe cak, ka palungthin loe cak rap; laa to ka sak han, pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 Ka hinghaih, angthawk ah! Katoeng hoi tamoinawk, angthawk oh! Kai doeh kang thawk palang han.
Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.
9 Aw Angraeng, kaminawk salakah, nang kang pakoeh han; prae kaminawk salakah doeh nang khaeah laa ka sak han.
I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
10 Tipongah tih nahaeloe nam lunghaih loe vannawk khoek to len moe, na loktang lok loe tamainawk khoek to phak boeh.
For thy mercy [is] great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
11 Aw Sithaw, nang loe, vannawk ranui khoek to lensawk nasoe; na lensawkhaih loe long boenghaih khoek to om nasoe.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.
