1 Katoeng kruek zaehoikung hanah. David ih Maskil. Edom kami Dog loe Saul khaeah caeh moe, David loe Abimelek im ah caeh boeh, tiah a naa. Nang thacak kami, tikhoe kasae sak nam oek haih loe? Sithaw hoihhaih loe cak poe.
“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David, when Doeg, the Edomite, came and told Saul, and said to him, David is come to the house of Abimelech.” Why gloriest thou in mischief, thou man of violence? The goodness of God yet continueth daily.
2 Na palai loe haita kanoe baktiah, kasae sak han ih khue to poek pongah, alighaih tok to a sak.
Thy tongue deviseth mischief, Like a sharp razor, thou contriver of deceit!
3 Nang loe kahoih hmuen pongah kasae hmuen to na palung kue moe, loktang lok thuih pongah loe, amsawnlok thuih to na koeh kue. (Selah)
Thou lovest evil more than good, And to lie more than to speak truth. (Pause)
4 Aw aling thaih palai, nang loe kasae lokthuihaih to na koeh.
Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue!
5 Nang loe Sithaw mah dungzan khoek to amrosak tih, na haek ving ueloe, na ohhaih ahmuen hoiah azuk ving tih; ka hing kaminawk ohhaih prae thung hoiah na tangzun to aphongh ving tih. (Selah)
Thee also shall God utterly destroy! o He shall seize thee, and tear thee from thy dwelling-place, And uproot thee from the land of the living. (Pause)
6 Katoeng kaminawk mah hnuk o naah, zii o ueloe, anih to pahnui o thui tih:
The righteous shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him.
7 Sithaw oep ai, angmah angraenghaih oep kami, kasae sakhaih caksak kaminawk to khen oh, tiah thui o tih.
“Behold the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And placed his strength in his wickedness!”
8 Toe kai loe Sithaw imthung ih kahing olive thing baktiah ka oh: kai loe Sithaw amlunghaih ni dungzan hoi dungzan khoek to kang oep haih.
But I shall be like a green olive-tree in the house of God; I will trust in the goodness of God for ever and ever.
9 Na sak pacoeng ih hmuen pongah, dungzan khoek to kang pakoeh han: na hoih pongah, nangmah ih kaciim kaminawk hmaa ah, na hmin to ka zing han.
I will praise thee for ever for what thou hast done; I will trust in thy name, because it is good, Before the eyes of thy godly ones!
