< Saam 48 >
1 Korah caanawk ih Saam laa. Angraeng loe lensawk pongah, ciimcai Angmah ih mae hoi aicae Sithaw ih vangpui ah lensawkhaih hoiah pakoeh han oh.
A Song, a Psalm, by sons of Korah. Great [is] Jehovah, and praised greatly, In the city of our God — His holy hill.
2 Aluek bangah kaom, lensawk Siangpahrang ih vangpui, long boih anghoehaih Zion mae loe, kranghoih parai.
Beautiful [for] elevation, A joy of all the land, [is] Mount Zion, The sides of the north, the city of a great king.
3 Sithaw loe a ohhaih ahmuen ah oh moe, anih loe abuephaih ah oh.
God in her high places is known for a tower.
4 Khenah, siangpahrangnawk loe amkhueng o moe, nawnto caeh o.
For, lo, the kings met, they passed by together,
5 Nihcae mah hnuk o naah, dawnrai o; zithaih hoiah cawnh o.
They have seen — so they have marvelled, They have been troubled, they were hastened away.
6 Nihcae loe to ahmuen ah zithaih hoiah oh o, nongpata caa tapen nathuem ih kana baktiah, pauep o,
Trembling hath seized them there, Pain, as of a travailing woman.
7 ni angyae bang ih takhi mah Tarshish ih palongpuinawk palet pae phaeng baktiah ni a oh o.
By an east wind Thou shiverest ships of Tarshish.
8 Aicae mah a thaih o ih baktih toengah, aicae Sithaw ih vangpui hoi misatuh Angraeng ih vangpui thungah, a hnuk o boeh; to ahmuen loe Sithaw mah dungzan khoek to caksak tih. (Selah)
As we have heard, so we have seen, In the city of Jehovah of hosts, In the city of our God, God doth establish her — to the age. (Selah)
9 Aw Sithaw, na tempul thungah, nang palunghaih to ka poek o.
We have thought, O God, of Thy kindness, In the midst of Thy temple,
10 Na hmin amthang baktih toengah, aw Sithaw, nang saphawhaih loe long boenghaih khoek to phak boeh; na bantang ban loe toenghaih hoiah koi.
As [is] Thy name, O God, so [is] Thy praise, Over the ends of the earth, Righteousness hath filled Thy right hand.
11 Toenghaih hoi lok na caek pongah, Zion mae to anghoe nasoe loe, Judah canunawk to anghoe o nasoe.
Rejoice doth Mount Zion, The daughters of Judah are joyful, For the sake of Thy judgments.
12 Zion ah caeh ah, ataeng ah caeh takui ah loe, misa toephaih imsangnawk to kroek ah;
Compass Zion, and go round her, count her towers,
13 angzo han koi caanawk khaeah na thuih pae hanah, misa abuephaih longkhawnawk hoi anih ohhaih ahmuennawk to poek ah.
Set your heart to her bulwark, Consider her high places, So that ye recount to a later generation,
14 Hae Sithaw loe aicae ih dungzan Sithaw ah oh; anih loe boeng khoek to aicae zaehoikung ah om tih.
That this God [is] our God — To the age and for ever, He — he doth lead us over death!
