Saam 31
1 Katoeng zaehoikung hanah, David ih saam laa. Aw Angraeng, nang khaeah ni ka buep, azathaih na tongsak hmah; na toenghaih hoiah pahlong ah.
To the Overseer. — A Psalm of David. In Thee, O Jehovah, I have trusted, Let me not be ashamed to the age, In Thy righteousness deliver me.
2 Na naa patueng ah loe, karangah na pahlong ah; ka buephaih lungsong ah omh loe, kai pahlong hanah kacak sipae ah om ah.
Incline unto me Thine ear hastily, deliver me, Be to me for a strong rock, For a house of bulwarks to save me.
3 Nang loe ka lungsong hoi kang hawkhaih ah na oh pongah, na hmin hoi na caeh haih ah loe, na zae ah.
For my rock and my bulwark [art] Thou, For Thy name's sake lead me and tend me.
4 Ka hmaa ah amtung sut thaang hoiah na loisak ah, tipongah tih nahaeloe nang loe ka buephaih ah na oh.
Bring me out from the net that they hid for me, For Thou [art] my strength.
5 Ka muithla na ban ah kang tathlang; Aw loktang Angraeng Sithaw, kai nang krang boeh.
Into Thy hand I commit my spirit, Thou hast redeemed me, Jehovah God of truth.
6 Tidoeh angcoeng ai hmuen to ka hnukma, toe Angraeng to ka oep.
I have hated the observers of lying vanities, And I toward Jehovah have been confident.
7 Na palungnathaih ah anghoehaih hoi ka oh han: ka raihaih nang hnuk pae moe, ka pakhra patangkhanghaih nang panoek pae;
I rejoice, and am glad in Thy kindness, In that Thou hast seen mine affliction, Thou hast known in adversities my soul.
8 misa khaeah nang paek ai moe, ka khoknawk hae ahmuen kahnaep ah nang doetsak.
And Thou hast not shut me up, Into the hand of an enemy, Thou hast caused my feet to stand in a broad place.
9 Aw Angraeng, raihaih ka tong pongah, ka nuiah palungnathaih tawn raeh: palungset loiah ka mik, muithla hoi zoknawk doeh amro boih boeh.
Favour me, O Jehovah, for distress [is] to me, Mine eye, my soul, and my body Have become old by provocation.
10 Palungset hoiah ka hinghaih hae ka laemsak moe, saning paroeai thung khuiqahhaih hoiah ka oh: ka sakpazaehaih pongah ka thazok sut moe, ka huhnawk doeh qong boeh.
For my life hath been consumed in sorrow And my years in sighing. Feeble because of mine iniquity hath been my strength, And my bones have become old.
11 Ka misanawk hoi ka imtaengnawk mah kai ang hnap o, ampui angzongnawk mah doeh kai ang zit o: tasa bangah kai hnu kaminawk mah ang cawn o taak boih.
Among all mine adversaries I have been a reproach, And to my neighbours exceedingly, And a fear to mine acquaintances, Those seeing me without — fled from me.
12 Kai loe poek han koi kaom ai kadueh kami baktiah ang pahnet o: kai loe kakoi long laom baktiah ni ka oh boeh.
I have been forgotten as dead out of mind, I have been as a perishing vessel.
13 Paroeai kaminawk mah thuih o ih kasae lok khue ni ka thaih: ka taengah om kaminawk loe zitthok kami ah ni oh o boih: nihcae loe nawnto amkhueng o moe, ka hinghaih lak hanah khokhan o.
For I have heard an evil account of many, Fear [is] round about. In their being united against me, To take my life they have devised,
14 Toe Aw Angaeng, nang ah ni kam ha: nang loe ka Sithaw ni, tiah ka thuih.
And I on Thee — I have trusted, O Jehovah, I have said, 'Thou [art] my God.'
15 Kai ih atuenawk loe na ban thungah ni oh; ka misanawk hoi kai pacaekthlaek kaminawk ban thung hoiah na loisak ah.
In Thy hand [are] my times, Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from my pursuers.
16 Na tamna nuiah na mikhmai pansak raeh loe, na palungnathaih hoiah na pahlong ah.
Cause Thy face to shine on Thy servant, Save me in Thy kindness.
17 Aw Angraeng, na zatsak hmah; nang khaeah lawk ka thuih pongah, kasae kaminawk to azatpaw o nasoe, nihcae loe taprong thungah anghngai o duem nasoe. (Sheol h7585)
O Jehovah, let me not be ashamed, For I have called Thee, let the wicked be ashamed, Let them become silent to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
18 Amoekhaih lok, hnaphnaehaih hoi katoeng kaminawk khet patoekhaih lokthui kami, amsawnlok thuihaih pahninawk to angsumh o nasoe.
Let lips of falsehood become dumb, That are speaking against the righteous, Ancient sayings, in pride and contempt.
19 Nang zii kaminawk hanah na suek pae moe, kaminawk mikhnuk ah, na nuiah amha kaminawk khaeah na sak pae ih, na hoihaih loe kawkruk maw len.
How abundant is Thy goodness, That Thou hast laid up for those fearing Thee,
20 Kaminawk ih amoekhaih thung hoi loisak hanah, panoek thai ai na ohhaih ahmuen thungah nihcae to na hawk boeh: misa koeh lok apaehhaih palai thung hoi pakaa hanah nihcae to, panoek thai ai na ohhaih ahmuen thungah na suek.
Thou hast wrought for those trusting in Thee, Before sons of men. Thou hidest them in the secret place of Thy presence, From artifices of man, Thou concealest them in a tabernacle, From the strife of tongues.
21 Kacak vangpui ah dawnrai tahmenhaih amtuengsak pongah, Angraeng khae tahamhoihaih om nasoe.
Blessed [is] Jehovah, For He hath made marvellous His kindness To me in a city of bulwarks.
22 Kai loe na hmaa hoi kang thla ving boeh, tiah tasoehhaih hoiah lok ka thuih, toe nang kang kawk naah, tahmen kang hnikhaih lok to nang tahngai pae.
And I — I have said in my haste, 'I have been cut off from before Thine eyes,' But Thou hast heard the voice of my supplications, In my crying unto Thee.
23 Anih ih kaciim kaminawk boih, Angraeng to palung oh! Angraeng loe oep kaom kaminawk to khetzawn, amoek kaminawk hanah loe kasae sakhaih tangqum to kating ah a paek.
Love Jehovah, all ye His saints, Jehovah is keeping the faithful, And recompensing abundantly a proud doer.
24 Nangcae Angraeng oephaih tawn kaminawk boih, thazok o hmah, to tiah nahaeloe anih mah na palungthin tha na cak o sak tih.
Be strong, and He strengtheneth your heart, All ye who are waiting for Jehovah!
