Saam 28
1 David ih Saam laa. Aw Angraeng, ka lungsong, nang ni kang kawk; pathim ai ah om hmah; nang pathim ai nahaeloe, tangqom thungah krah nihcae baktiah ni ka om tih.
“A psalm of David.” To thee do I cry, O LORD! O my rock! be not silent to me, Lest, if thou answer me not, I become like those who go down to the pit!
2 Na hmuenciim bangah ban ka payangh moe, nang kang kawk naah, tahmen kang hnikhaih lok to na tahngai paeh.
Hear the voice of my supplication, when I cry unto thee, When I lift up my hands to thy most holy sanctuary!
3 Angmacae imtaeng kaminawk khaeah angdaehhaih lok thui kami, palung thungah loe sethaih poek kami, kasae kaminawk, sethaih sah kaminawk hoi nawnto na caeh haih hmah.
Draw me not away with the impious, and with evil-doers, Who speak peace to their neighbors, while mischief is in their hearts!
4 Nihcae khaeah a sak o ih tuinuen baktih, a sak o ih sethaih baktih toengah, pathok let ah: ban hoi a sak o ih tok baktih toengah, paek ah loe lokcaek ah.
Give them according to their deeds, and the wickedness of their doings; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them their desert!
5 Angraeng ih toknawk hoi a sak ih hmuennawk to tidoeh dawncang ai ah a oh o pongah, to kaminawk to anih mah amrosak tih, nihcae loe angthawk o let mak ai boeh.
For they regard not the doings of the LORD, nor the work of his hands; Therefore will he destroy them, and not again build them up.
6 Tahmen ka hnikhaih loknawk anih mah ang thaih pae pongah, Angraeng khaeah tahamhoihaih om nasoe.
Praised be the LORD, for he hath heard the voice of my supplications!
7 Angraeng loe ka thacakhaih hoi ka buephaih ah oh; ka palungthin mah anih to oep pongah, anih mah ang bomh: to pongah ka plungthin anghoehaih hoiah koi; anih to laa hoiah ka pakoeh han.
The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusteth in him, and he helpeth me; Therefore doth my heart exult, And in my song I will praise him.
8 Angraeng loe angmah ih kaminawk hanah thacakhaih ah oh; situi a bawh ih kami hanah thacak pahlonghaih ah oh.
Jehovah is the strength of his people; He is the protecting shield of his anointed.
9 Nangmah ih kaminawk to pahlong ah loe, na qawktoep kaminawk to tahamhoihaih paek ah: nihcae to khenzawn ah loe dungzan khoek to toep ah.
Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance; Feed them also, and build them up for ever!
