1 David ih Saam laa. Long hoi a thung ih hmuennawk; long hoi a thungah kaom kaminawk boih loe, Angraeng ih ni.

A psalm of David. The earth is the Lord's, and everything that is in it belongs to him. The world is his, and everyone who lives there.

2 Anih mah to ahmuen to tuipui nuiah angdoetsak moe, tuinawk nuiah a caksak.

For he is the one who laid its foundations on the seas, setting it in place on the waters.

3 Mi maw angraeng ih mae nuiah daw tih? To tih ai boeh loe mi maw anih ih hmuenciim ah angdoe tih?

Who is allowed to go up the Lord's mountain? Who is permitted to stand in his holy place?

4 Ban ciim kami hoi poek ciim kami, krangbokhaih bangah a hinghaih to paek ai, kamsoem ai hmuen ah lokkamhaih sah ai kami loe,

Those who have clean hands and pure minds, who don't worship idols, and who don't lie under oath.

5 Angraeng khae hoiah tahamhoihaih to hnu ueloe, anih pahlonghaih Sithaw khae hoiah toenghaih to hnu tih.

They will take with them the blessing of the Lord, vindicated by the God who saves them.

6 To kami loe Sithaw pakrong kaminawk ih acaeng, Sithaw krang pakrong Jakob ih acaeng ah oh. (Selah)

These are the kind of people who may go to the Lord and worship before you, God of Jacob. (Selah)

Open up, you gates! Swing wide, you ancient doors! Let the King of glory come in!

8 Hae lensawk siangpahrang loe mi aa? Anih loe lensawk thacak Angraeng, misatuk thacak Angraeng to ni.

Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and powerful, mighty in battle.

9 Aw nangcae khongkhanawk, na lunawk to phok o tahang ah; nangcae dungzan thoknawk, angtoeng o tahang ah; lensawk Siangpahrang athung ah angzo tih.

Open up, you gates! Swing wide, you ancient doors! Let the King of glory come in!
