To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. O Yahweh, in thy strength, will the king rejoice, and, in thy salvation, how greatly will he exult!
2 A pahni hoiah hnikhaih to na tamuep pae khoep ai moe, a koehhaih palung baktih toengah na paek boeh.
The longing of his heart, hast thou given him, and, the request of his lips, hast thou not withheld. (Selah)
3 Anih hanah kahoih tahamhoihaih to na paek: a lu nuiah kaciim suitui hoi sak ih lumuek to nang mueksak boeh.
For thou wilt come to meet him, with the blessings of goodness, Thou wilt set on his head, a crown of pure gold.
4 Anih mah hinghaih ang hnik naah, na paek, dungzan hoi dungzan khoek to kasawk hinghaih to na paek boeh.
Life, he asked of thee, Thou hast given it him, length of days, to times age-abiding and beyond.
5 Na pahlonghaih rang hoiah anih loe paroeai len: pakoehhaih hoi huham ohhaih to a nuiah na suek pae.
Great is his glory, in thy salvation, Honour and majesty, wilt thou lay upon him;
6 Anih han dungzan tahamhoihaih na paek: na hmaa ah paroeai anghoehaih hoi na koisak.
For thou wilt appoint him blessings evermore, wilt cheer him with joy by thy countenance;
7 Siangpahrang loe Angraeng to oep moe, Ranui koek tahmenhaih rang hoiah anih loe angthui mak ai.
For, the king, is trusting in Yahweh, and, in the lovingkindness of the Highest, shall he not be shaken.
8 Na ban mah na misanawk boih to hnu tih, na bantang ban mah nang hnuma kaminawk to hnu tih.
Thy hand, will find out, all thy foes, Thine own right hand, will find out them who hate thee.
9 Palung na phui naah nihcae to hmai kamngaeh omthuh baktiah na ohsak: Angraeng mah nihcae to palungphuihaih hoiah paaeh tih, nihcae to hmai mah kang tih.
Thou wilt make them like a furnace of fire, at the time of thy presence, —Yahweh, in his anger, will swallow them up, and there shall consume them a fire:
10 Nihcae ih athaih to long hoiah nang hmaasak ueloe, kaminawk salak hoiah nihcae ih caanawk to nam rosak tih.
Their fruit—out of the earth, wilt thou destroy, and their seed, from among the sons of men;
11 Nihcae loe na nuiah kasae sak han ih pacaeng o moe, kahoih ai hmuen to a poek o, toe nihcae mah sah o thai ai.
For they have held out, against thee, a wicked thing, They have devised a scheme they cannot accomplish.
12 To pongah kalii to na nueng thuih moe, nihcae mikhmai ah na patoep naah, nihcae to hnukbang ah nam laemsak tih.
For thou wilt cause them to turn their back, Upon thy bow-strings, wilt thou make ready against their face.
13 Aw Angraeng, na thacakhaih hoiah nang pakoehhaih to om nasoe; na thacakhaih to laasakhaih hoiah kang saphaw o han.
Be exalted, O Yahweh, in thy strength! With song and with string will we sound forth thy power.
