< Saam 147 >
1 Angraeng to saphaw oh; aicae Sithaw khaeah saphawhaih laasak hae hoih; anih saphawhaih loe hoih, anghoe han oh.
Alleluia, [a Psalm] of Aggaeus and Zacharias. Praise you the Lord: for psalmody is a good thing; let praise be sweetly sung to our God.
2 Angraeng mah Jerusalem to sak moe, anghmaa Israel caanawk to tacuu let.
The Lord builds up Jerusalem; and he will gather together the dispersed of Israel.
3 Poek amro kaminawk to ngantuisak moe, nihcae ih ahmaa to a zaeng pae.
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
4 Cakaehnawk to a kroek moe, ahmin hoiah kawk boih.
He numbers the multitudes of stars; and calls them all by names.
5 Angraeng loe lensawk, thacak parai; anih ih panoekhaih loe boeng thai ai.
Great is our Lord, and great is his strength; and his understanding is infinite.
6 Kami tlim ah khosah kaminawk loe Angraeng mah tapom tahang; kasae kaminawk loe long ah a vah.
The Lord lifts up the meek; but brings sinners down to the ground.

Begin [the song] with thanksgiving to the Lord; sing praises on the harp to our God:
8 Anih mah ni van to tamai hoiah khuk; long ah kho angzosak moe, maenawk nuiah phroh to amprawksak.
who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who causes grass to spring up on the mountains, [[and green herb for the service of men; ]]

and gives cattle their food, and to the young ravens that call upon him.
10 Anih loe hrang thacakhaih to oep ai moe, kami ih khoknawk nuiah doeh anghoehaih tawn ni.
He will not take pleasure in the strength of a horse; neither is he well-pleased with the legs of a man.
11 Angraeng loe anih zithaih tawn kami hoi a palungnathaih oep kaminawk nuiah ni anghoe.
The Lord takes pleasure in them that fear him, and in all that hope in his mercy.
12 Aw Jerusalem, Angraeng to pakoeh ah; Aw Zion, na Sithaw to pakoeh ah.
Alleluia, a Psalm of Aggaeus and Zacharias. Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Sion.

He gives snow like wool: he scatters the mist like ashes.
17 Qaetui to thlung caret baktiah a haeh; a haeh ih kamding qaetui thungah mi maw angdoe thai tih?
Casting [forth] his ice like morsels: who shall stand before his cold?
18 A lok to patoeh moe, tui amkawsak; takhi a songsak pongah, tui to longh.
He shall send out his word, and melt them: he shall blow [with] his wind, and the waters shall flow.
19 A lok to Jakob khaeah patoeh moe, anih mah patuk ih loknawk hoi anih ih lokcaekhaihnawk to Israel khaeah amtuengsak.
He sends his word to Jacob, his ordinances and judgements to Israel.

He has not done so to any [other] nation; and he has not shown them his judgements.
