1 David ih Saam laa. Ka thacakhaih Sithaw loe tahamhoihaih om nasoe, anih mah ka ban hoi misatuk thaihaih to paek moe, misa kah hanah ka banpazungnawk tha ang caksak;
[A Psalm] of David. Blessed [be] the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, [and] my fingers to fight:
2 Anih loe kai amlunghaih, kai ih sipae kacak, kai ih misatoephaih imsang, kai krangkung, kang vaenghaih, ka buephaih ah oh moe, kai ih kaminawk kaimah tlim ah omsakkung ah a oh.
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and [he] in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
3 Aw Angraeng, kami loe kawbangah maw oh moe, na poek haih khing? To tih ai boeh loe kami capa loe kawbangah maw oh moe, lokpui parai ah na suek?
LORD, what [is] man, that thou takest knowledge of him! [or] the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
4 Kami loe tidoeh na ai ni; anih ih aninawk doeh anghmaa ving tahlip baktiah ni oh.
Man is like to vanity: his days [are] as a shadow that passeth away.
5 Aw Angraeng, na vannawk to akuepsak ah loe, angzo tathuk ah; hmaikhue tacawt thaih hanah, maenawk to sui ah.
Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6 Tangphra to pueksak ah loe, misanawk to anghaehsak phang lai ah; nangmah ih palaanawk to kaat ah loe, nihcae to amrosak ah.
Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
7 Ranui bang hoiah na ban to payangh loe, kai hae na krang ah; kalen parai tuipuinawk thung hoi prae kalah kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah na pahlong ah.
Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
8 Nihcae ih pakha loe amsawnlok to thuih o, nihcae ih bantang ban doeh alinghaih hoiah koi.
Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand [is] a right hand of falsehood.
9 Aw Sithaw, nang khaeah laa kangtha to ka sak han; aqui hato kaom katoeng hoiah nang pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
10 Anih mah ni siangpahrangnawk khaeah pahlonghaih to paek moe, duekhaih sumsen thung hoiah a tamna David to loisak.
[It is he] that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
11 Prae kalah kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah na zuk ah loe, akrang ah; nihcae ih pakha loe amsawnlok to thuih o moe, nihcae ih bantang ban loe alinghaih hoiah koi;
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand [is] a right hand of falsehood:
12 to tiah ni kaicae ih capanawk loe qoeng o li naah, apawkkung baktiah om o ueloe, canunawk doeh pathoep het ih siangpahrang im taki ih thlung baktiah om o tih;
That our sons [may be] as plants grown up in their youth; [that] our daughters [may be] as corner stones, polished [after] the similitude of a palace:
13 kaicae ih tapupnawk doeh caak koi congca hoiah koi tih; kaicae ih tuu doeh lawk ah, sangto hoi sang hato khoek to pung o tih;
[That] our garners [may be] full, affording all manner of store: [that] our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
14 kaicae ih maitaw taenawk doeh angpung o ueloe, paroeai toksah o tih; sipae phraekhaih hoi misong ah caehhaih to om mak ai boeh; loklam ah doeh palungset khuiqahhaih lok to a thaih o mak ai boeh.
[That] our oxen [may be] strong to labour; [that there be] no breaking in, nor going out; that [there be] no complaining in our streets.
15 To tiah kaom kaminawk loe tahamhoih; ue, Sithaw to Angraeng ah suem kaminawk loe tahamhoih o.
Happy [is that] people, that is in such a case: [yea], happy [is that] people, whose God [is] the LORD.
