< Saam 141 >
1 Aw Angraeng, nang to kang kawk; kai khaeah karangah angzo ah; nang kang kawk naah, ka lok hae tahngai pae ah.
A psalm of David. Lord, I call to you: hasten, to me, attend to my voice, when I call to you.
2 Lawk ka thuihaih to na hmaa ah hmuihoih baktih, ka payangh ih ban loe duembang ah sak ih angbawnhaih baktiah om nasoe.
Let my prayer be presented as incense before you, and my uplifted hands as the evening meal-offering.
3 Aw Angraeng, ka pakha ah toepkung to na suem pae ah; kai ih pahni thok hae na toep pae ah.
Set, O Lord, a watch on my mouth, put a guard on the door of my lips.
4 Kahoih ai hmuen to sak hanah, kai ih palung hae kahoih ai hmuen sah kaminawk hoi nawnto paqoi hmah; nihcae ih caaknaeknawk doeh na pacah hmah.
Incline not my heart to an evil matter, to busy myself in deeds of wickedness, in company with workers of evil: never may I partake of their dainties.
A wound or reproof from a good person in kindness is oil which my head shall never refuse. In their misfortune my prayer is still with them.
6 Nihcae ukkungnawk amngoe taengah vah o naah loe, ka thuih ih loknawk loe luep pongah, nihcae mah ka thuih ih loknawk to thaih o.
Abandoned they are to the hands of their judges: they shall learn that my words are true.
7 Thing to boeng moe, long ah pakhoih baktih toengah, taprong taengah kaicae ih ahuhnawk to a haeh o phang. (Sheol )
Like stones on a country road cleft and broken so lie our bones scattered for Death to devour. (Sheol )
8 Toe, Aw Angraeng Sithaw, ka mik mah loe nang ni ang danh; kai loe nang khaeah ni kam ha; ka hinghaih hae raihaih hoiah na caeh taak hmah.
But my eyes are turned towards you, O Lord. Do not pour out my life, for in you I take refuge.
9 Kai han patung ih thaang hoi kasae sah kaminawk mah patung ih dongnawk thung hoiah na loisak ah.
Keep me safe from the trap they have laid for me, from the snares of the workers of trouble.
10 Ka loih pacoengah, kasae sah kaminawk loe angmacae ih palok pongah aman o nasoe.
Into their own nets let wicked people fall; while I pass by in safety.
