1 David ih Saam laa. Aw Angraeng, palungthin boih hoiah nang to kang pakoeh han; sithawnawk hmaa ah nang pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
A Psalm for David, of Aggaeus and Zacharias. I will give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart; and I will sing psalms to you before the angels; for you have heard all the words of my mouth.
2 Kaciim na tempul bang khet hoiah nang to kang bok moe, nam lunghaih hoi na oepthohhaih pongah na hmin to ka pakoeh han; nangmah ih ahmin rang hoiah na lok to hmuennawk boih pong kasang kue ah nam tuengsak boeh.
I will worship towards your holy temple, and give thanks to your name, on account of your mercy and your truth; for you have magnified your holy name above every thing.
3 Kang kawkhaih niah kai han nang pathim moe, palung thungah tha nang ohsak.
In whatever day I shall call upon you, hear me speedily; you shall abundantly provide me with your power in my soul.
4 Aw Angraeng, long nui ih siangpahrangnawk boih mah na thuih ih lok to thaih o naah, nang to saphaw o tih.
Let all the kings of the earth, o Lord, give thanks to you; for they have heard all the words of your mouth.
5 Ue, Angraeng lensawkhaih loe len parai pongah, Angraeng ih loklamnawk to pazui o ueloe, laa to sah o tih.
And let them sing in the ways of the Lord; for great is the glory of the Lord.
6 Angraeng loe hmuensang ah oh; toe poeknaemhaih tawn kaminawk to anih mah khet; amoek kaminawk loe ahmuen kangthla hoiah anih mah panoek boeh.
For the Lord is high, and [yet] regards the lowly; and he knows high things from afar off.
7 Raihaih thungah caeh cadoeh, nang hingsak tih; ka misanawk palungphuihaih to pakaa hanah na ban to payangh ueloe, na bantang ban hoiah na pahlong tih.
Though I should walk in the midst of affliction, you will quicken me; you have stretched forth your hands against the wrath of mine enemies, and your right hand has saved me.
8 Angraeng mah sak atimhaih to kai hanah akoepsak tih; Aw Angraeng; na tahmenhaih loe dungzan khoek to cak; na ban hoi sak ih hmuennawk to pahnawt sut hmah.
O Lord, you shall recompense [them] on my behalf: your mercy, O Lord, [endures] for ever: overlook not the works of your hands.
