1 Kasang laa. Aw Angraeng, David hoi anih patangkhanghaih to panoek ah;
A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. Remember, YHWH, for David, all his afflictions;
2 Angraeng hanah ahmuen ka hnu ai moe, thacak Jakob ih Sithaw hanah ahmuen ka hak ai khoek to, ka mik hae ka iipsak mak ai, ka mikhin doeh ka ngamsak mak ai, tangtang ni kaimah ih kahni imthung ah ka kun mak ai ueloe, ka iihhaih ahmuen ah doeh ka caeh mak ai, tiah anih mah Angraeng khaeah lokkamhaih to sak moe, thacak Jakob Sithaw khaeah lokkamhaih to a sak.
Who has sworn to YHWH, He has vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
“If I enter into the tent of my house, If I go up on the couch of my bed,
If I give sleep to my eyes, To my eyelids—slumber,
Until I find a place for YHWH, dwelling places for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 Khenah, to kahni im loe Ephratah ah oh, tiah a thaih o moe, kathah thing thungah a hnuk o boeh.
Behold, we have heard it in Ephratah, We have found it in the fields of the forest.
7 Angmah ih kahni imthung ah caeh o si loe, a khokkung ah anih to bok o si.
We come into His dwelling places, We bow ourselves at His footstool.
8 Aw Angraeng, nangmah hoi na thacakhaih thingkhong hoi nawnto, angthawk ah loe, nang hakhaih ahmuen ah, angzo ah.
Arise, O YHWH, to Your rest, You, and the Ark of Your strength,
9 Na qaimanawk loe toenghaih hoiah amthoep o nasoe loe, nangmah ih kaciim kaminawk mah anghoehaih laa to sah o nasoe.
Your priests put on righteousness, And Your pious ones cry aloud.
10 Na tamna David pongah, situi na bawh ih kami to pahnawt hmah.
For the sake of Your servant David, Do not turn back the face of Your anointed.
11 Angraeng loe David khaeah loktang lokkamhaih to sak; lokkamhaih to hnuk amlaem taak mak ai; na takpum ih thingthai ah kaom kami to na angraeng tangkhang nuiah kang hnutsak han.
YHWH has sworn truth to David, He does not turn back from it: “Of the fruit of your body, I set on the throne for you.
12 Na caanawk mah ka lokkamhaih hoi nihcae hanah ka patuk ih ka loknawk to pazui o nahaeloe, nihcae ih caanawk doeh na angraeng tangkhang nuiah dungzan khoek to anghnu o toeng tih.
If your sons keep My covenant, And My testimonies that I teach them, Their sons also forever and ever Sit on the throne for you.”
13 Angraeng mah Zion to qoih boeh; anih loe to ah ohhaih ahmuen sak hanah koehhaih tawnh.
For YHWH has fixed on Zion, He has desired [it] for a seat to Himself,
14 Hae loe dungzan ah kang hakhaih ahmuen ah oh; ka koeh pongah, hae ah ka oh han.
“This [is] My rest forever and ever, Here I sit, for I have desired it.
15 Anih to pop parai caaknaek hoiah tahamhoihaih ka paek moe, amtang angmah ih kaminawk to zok kam hahsak han.
I greatly bless her provision, I satisfy her poor [with] bread,
16 Angmah ih qaimanawk doeh pahlonghaih hoiah ka khuk han, kaciim angmah ih kaminawk loe anghoehaih laa to sah o tih.
And I clothe her priests [with] salvation, And her pious ones sing aloud.
17 To ah David to taki ka cawnhsak moe, situi ka bawh ih kami hanah hmaithaw to ka sak pae boeh.
There I cause a horn to spring up for David, I have arranged a lamp for My Anointed.
18 Anih ih misanawk to azathaih hoiah ka khuk pae han; toe anih lu nui ih sui lumuek loe ampha tih.
I clothe His enemies [with] shame, And His crown flourishes on Him!”
