1 Kasang laa. Angraeng oep kaminawk loe anghuen ai, dungzan kacak, Zion mae baktiah om o tih.

A Song of Degrees. They that trust in the Lord [shall be] as mount Sion: he that dwells in Jerusalem shall never be moved.

2 Maenawk mah Jerusalem to takui khoep baktih toengah, Angraeng mah angmah ih kaminawk to vaihi hoi dungzan khoek to takui khoep.

The mountains are round about her, and [so] the Lord is round about his people, from henceforth and even for ever.

3 Katoeng kaminawk ih prae thungah kasae kaminawk ih cunghet to om mak ai, to tih ai nahaeloe katoeng kaminawk loe a ban to kahoih ai hmuen sak hanah patoh o moeng tih.

For the Lord will not allow the rod of sinners to be upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous should stretch forth their hands to iniquity.

4 Aw Angraeng, kahoih kaminawk hoi poektoeng kaminawk khaeah, kahoih hmuen to sah ah.

Do good, O Lord, to them [that are] good, and to them [that are] upright in heart.

5 Loklam kang koiah amkhraeng kaminawk loe, Angraeng mah kahoih ai hmuen sah kaminawk hoi nawnto caeh haih hmaek tih; toe Israel nuiah loe monghaih to om nasoe.

But them that turn aside to crooked ways the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity: [but] peace [shall be] upon Israel.
