1 Angraeng to saphaw oh. Aw Angraeng ih tamnanawk, saphaw oh, Angraeng ih ahmin to saphaw oh.
Alleluia. Praise the Lord, you servants [of his], praise, the name of the Lord.
2 Vaihi hoi dungzan khoek to Angraeng ih ahmin tahamhoihaih om nasoe.
Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.
3 Ni tacawt hoi niduem khoek to Angraeng ih ahmin to saphaw han oh.
From the rising of the sun to his setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
4 Angraeng loe prae kaminawk boih pongah sang moe, a lensawkhaih doeh vannawk pongah sang.
The Lord is high above all the nations; his glory is above the heavens.
5 Ahmuen sang ah kaom, aicae Angraeng Sithaw baktiah,
Who is as the Lord our God? who dwells in the high places,
6 van hoi long ih hmuennawk khet hanah poekhaih pahnaemh mi maw kaom?
and [yet] looks upon the low things in heaven, and on the earth:
7 Anih loe amtang kami to maiphu thung hoiah pathawk moe, kavawt kami to aek thung hoiah pathawk,
who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;
8 Anih mah siangpahrang ih caanawk, angmacae kami siangpahrang ih caanawk hoi nawnto anghnuthaih ahmuen to paek.
to set him with princes, [even] with the princes of his people:
9 Caa kaak nongpata to im khenzawnkung hoi anghoehaih tawn caanawk ih amno ah a sak. Angraeng loe saphaw oh.
who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.
