1 David ih Saam laa.
A Song. A Psalm by David. My heart is steadfast, God. I will sing and I will make music with my soul.
2 Katoeng hoi tamoinawk, angthawk oh! Kai loe khawnthaw ah kang thawk han.
Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.
I will give thanks to you, LORD, amongst the nations. I will sing praises to you amongst the peoples.
For your loving kindness is great above the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
5 Aw Sithaw, nang loe vannawk pongah sang nasoe; na lensawkhaih long nui boih ah om nasoe.
Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth.
That your beloved may be delivered, save with your right hand, and answer us.
7 Sithaw loe angmah ih hmuenciim hoiah lokthuih boeh; kai loe kang hoe han; Shekem to pakhoih moe, Sukkoth azawn to ka tah han.
God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead loe kai ih ni; Manasseh doeh kai ih ni; Ephraim loe ka lu thacakhaih lumuek ah oh; Judah loe kai ih kaalok patukkung ah oh.
Gilead is mine. Manasseh is mine. Ephraim also is my helmet. Judah is my sceptre.
9 Moab loe khok kam saehhaih sabae kathuk ah oh; Edom nuiah kaimah ih khokpanai to ka vah han; Philistia nuiah pazawkhaih hoiah ka hangh han.
Moab is my wash pot. I will toss my sandal on Edom. I will shout over Philistia.”
10 Sipae kacak vangpui thungah mi mah maw na zae tih? Mi mah maw Edom prae ah na caeh haih tih?
Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
11 Aw Sithaw, nangmah na ai maw kaicae hae pahnawt sut? Kaicae ih misatuh kaminawk hoi nawnto caeh ai ah kaom kami doeh, nang na ai maw?
Haven’t you rejected us, God? You don’t go out, God, with our armies.
Give us help against the enemy, for the help of man is vain.
13 Kaicae loe Sithaw rang hoiah misa ka hoih o tih; kaicae ih misanawk to anih na tii pae tih.
Through God, we will do valiantly, for it is he who will tread down our enemies.
