1 Angraeng to saphaw oh; Angraeng loe hoih pongah, angmah khaeah kawnhaih lok to thui oh; anih amlunghaih loe dungzan ah cak.
Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
2 Mi maw Angraeng mah sak ih thacak hmuennawk to thui thaih? Mi mah maw anih pakoehhaih to amtuengsak boih thai tih?
Who shall tell the mighty acts of the Lord? [who] shall cause all his praises to be heard?
3 Toenghaih sah poe kaminawk, katoeng hmuen pazui kaminawk loe tahamhoih o.
Blessed are they that keep judgement, and do righteousness at all times.
4 Aw Angraeng, nangmah ih kaminawk khaeah na hoihhaih amtuengsak naah, na pahnet hmah; na pahlonghaih hoiah angzo ah,
Remember us, O Lord, with the favour [you have] to your people: visit us with your salvation;
5 to tiah nahaeloe na qoih kami ih hoihhaih to ka hnu tih, na caeng kaminawk to kang hoe haih ueloe, qawk ah na toep ih kaminawk hoi nawnto kang pakoeh thai tih.
that we may behold the good of your elect, that we may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that we may glory with your inheritance.
6 Kaicae loe kam panawk ih zaehaih baktiah ka zae o boeh, hmuen ka sak o pazae boeh; kahoih ai hmuen to ka sak o boeh.
We have sinned with our fathers, we have transgressed, we have done unrighteously.
7 Kam panawk Izip prae ah oh o naah, na sak ih dawnrai hmuennawk to panoek o thai ai; pop parai na palungnathaihnawk to panoek o ai boeh, tuipui taengah tuipui kathim taengah, anih to laisaep o thuih.
Our fathers in Egypt understood not your wonders, and remembered not the multitude of your mercy; but provoked [him] as they went up by the Red Sea.
8 Toe thacak a sakthaihaih to amtuengsak thai hanah, angmah ih ahmin hoiah nihcae to pahlong.
Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might cause his mighty power to be known.
9 Tuipui kathim to a zoeh naah, tui to kang boih; praezaek ah caeh baktih toengah, nihcae to a caeh haih.
And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up: so he led them through the deep as through the wilderness.
10 Nihcae hnuma kami ih ban thung hoiah anih mah pahlong moe, misa ban thung hoiah nihcae to akrangh.
And he saved them out of the hand of them that hated [them], and redeemed them out of the hand of the enemy.
11 Nihcae ih misanawk loe tui mah khuk hmoek, maeto doeh anghmat o ai.
The water covered those that oppressed them: there was not one of them left.
12 To naah nihcae mah a thuih ih loknawk to tang o moe, anih saphawhaih laa to a sak o.
Then they believed his words, and celebrated his praise.
13 Toe nasetto doeh akra ai ah anih mah sak ih hmuennawk to pahnet o let; anih mah thuih ih lok to zing o ai,
They made haste, they forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel.
14 toe caaknaek koeh hmoekhaih hoiah praezaek ah khosak o moe, praezaek ah Sithaw to tanoek o.
And they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the dry [land].
15 Nihcae mah hnik ih hmuen to anih mah paek pae, toe angmacae pakhra zaekhaih to a phaksak.
And he gave them their request, and sent fullness into their souls.
16 Nihcae kahni im ah atai o naah, Mosi hoi Angraeng ih kaciim kami Aaron to a ut o.
They provoked Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
17 To naah long to koih moe, Dathan to paaeh; Abiram ih ampuinawk to taet hmoek.
The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and closed upon the congregation of Abiron.
18 Anih ih kaminawk to hmai hoiah qoeng o, kahoih ai kaminawk to hmaipalai mah kangh boih.
And a fire was kindled in their congregation, and a flame burnt up the sinners.
19 Horeb ah maitaw caanawk to sak o moe, to tiah sakcop ih krang to a bok o.
And they made a calf in Choreb, and worshipped the graven image,
20 Angmacae lensawkhaih to qam kacaa, sakcop ih maitaw krang hoiah athlaeng o.
and they changed their glory into the similitude of a calf that feeds on grass.
21 Izip prae ah kalen parai hmuen kasah,
They forgot God that saved them, who had wrought great deeds in Egypt;
22 Ham prae ah dawnrai hmuennawk kasah, tuipui kathim taengah zitthok hmuennawk kasah, angmacae pahlongkung Sihtaw to pahnet o ving boeh.
wondrous [works] in the land of Cham, and terrible things at the Red Sea.
23 To pongah nihcae to paduek han ai ah, anih palungphuihaih to dipsak hanah, a qoih ih Mosi mah a hmaa ah angdoe khoep ai nahaeloe, nihcae to paduek tih boeh.
So he said that he would have destroyed them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn [him] away from the fierceness of his anger, so that he should not destroy them.
24 Ue, nihcae mah kahoih prae to patoek o moe, a thuih ih lok to tang o ai.
Moreover they set at nothing the desirable land, and believed not his word.
25 Angmacae ih kahni im ah laisaep o, Angraeng ih lok to tahngai o ai.
And they murmured in their tents: they listened not to the voice of the Lord.
26 To pongah nihcae to praezaek ah hum hanah,
So he lifted up his hand against them, to cast them down in the wilderness;
27 a caanawk doeh prae kalah kaminawk ih ban thungah amtimsak moe, prae thung boih ah amhetsak phang hanah, a ban payanghaih hoiah lokkamhaih to a sak.
and to cast down their seed amongst the nations, and to scatter them in the countries.
28 Nihcae loe Peor ih Baal khaeah angqoi o lat moe, hinghaih katawn ai sithawnawk khaeah paek ih angbawnhaih buh aannawk to a caak o.
They were joined also to Beelphegor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. And they provoked him with their devices;
29 To tiah a sak o ih hmuennawk hoiah Sithaw palungphui hanah a sak o pongah, nihcae khaeah nathaih to phaksak.
and destruction, was multiplied amongst them.
30 Toe Phinehas loe angthawk moe, nihcae abomh hanah salakah angdoet pongah, nathaih to amkhap pae duk.
Then Phinees stood up, and made atonement: and the plague ceased.
31 To tiah a sak ih hmuen pongah anih loe angzo han koi adung kaminawk boih mah kami katoeng ni, tiah dungzan khoek to thuih o.
And it was counted to him for righteousness, to all generations for ever.
32 Lok angaekhaih tui taengah nihcae mah Angraeng to palungphui o sak, nihcae pongah Mosi khaeah raihaih to phak,
They provoked him also at the water of Strife, and Moses was hurt for their sakes;
33 Sithaw ih Muithla to aek o pongah, poek ai puiah Mosi ih pakha thung hoiah lok to tacawt.
for they provoked his spirit, and he spoke [unadvisedly] with his lips.
34 Angraeng mah nihcae khaeah paek ih lok baktih toengah, acaeng kalah kaminawk to hum o ai,
They destroyed not the nations which the Lord told them [to destroy];
35 toe Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk hoiah angbaeh o moe, nihcae khosakhaih tuinuen to amtuk o.
but were mingled with the heathen, and learnt their works.
36 Angmacae han thaang ah kaom, prae kalah kaminawk ih krangnawk to a bok o.
And they served their graven images; and it became an offence to them.
37 Ue, angbawnhaih ah a capa hoi a canunawk to taqawk khaeah paek o,
And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils,
38 Kanaan kaminawk mah bok o ih krangnawk khaeah, tidoeh panoek ai a capanawk hoi a canunawk ih athii to palong o; athii hoiah prae to panuet thok ah a sak o.
and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Chanaan; and the land was defiled with blood.
39 A sak o ih hmuennawk hoiah angmacae to amhnong o sak; a sak o ih hmuennawk hoiah tangyat zaw kami ah angcoeng o.
and was polluted with their works; and they went a whoring with their own devices.
40 To pongah Angraeng loe angmah ih kaminawk nuiah palungphui, angmah ih qawktoep koi kaminawk doeh panuet.
So the Lord was very angry with his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
41 To pongah nihcae to Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk ban ah a paek, a hnukma ih kaminawk mah nihcae to uk.
And he delivered them into the hands of [their] enemies; and they that hated them ruled over them.
42 A misanawk mah nihcae to pacaekthaek o, nihcae to misa ban thungah a suek.
Ands their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought down under their hands.
43 Anih mah nihcae to pahlong tuektuek boeh; toe anih ih lokaek han khue a poek o pongah, nihcae loe angmacae zaehaih thungah amtimh o.
Many a time he delivered them; but they provoked him by their counsel, and they were brought low by their iniquities.
44 Toe nihcae qahhaih lok anih mah thaih naah, patang a khang o haih to a poek pae let;
You the Lord looked upon their affliction, when he heard their petition.
45 nihcae khaeah sak ih a lokmaihaih to poek pae let, pop parai a palungnathaih baktih toengah, dawnpakhuemhaih a tawnh.
And he remembered his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercy.
46 Nihcae misongah caeh haih kaminawk khaeah tahmenhaih a tawnhsak let.
And he caused them to be pitied in the sight of all who carried them captive.
47 Aw Angraeng kaicae ih Sithaw, kaciim na hmin pongah anghoehaih lok to ka thuih o moe, na lensawkhaih to ka saphaw o thai hanah, kaicae hae na pahlong ah loe, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah na tacuu let ah.
Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from amongst the heathen, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise.
48 Israelnawk ih Angraeng Sithaw loe dungzan hoi dungzan khoek to tahamhoihaih om nasoe; kaminawk boih mah, Amen, tiah thui o nasoe. Angraeng to saphaw oh.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting; and all the people shall say, Amen, Amen.
