< Saam 104 >
1 Aw ka hinghaih, Angraeng to tahamhoihaih paek ah; Aw Angraeng ka Sithaw, nang loe na len parai; nang loe lensawk thacakhaih hoiah nam thoep.
For David himself. Bless the Lord, O my soul: O Lord my God, thou art exceedingly great. Thou hast put on praise and beauty:
2 Anih loe aanghaih to kahni baktiah angkhuk; vannawk to kahni im baktiah payuengh,
And art clothed with light as with a garment. Who stretchest out the heaven like a pavilion:
3 a ohhaih ranui im tung to tuinawk thungah a suek; tamainawk to hrang lakok ah a sak moe, takhi ih pakhraehnawk nuiah a caeh,
Who coverest the higher rooms thereof with water. Who makest the clouds thy chariot: who walkest upon the wings of the winds.
4 angmah ih vankaminawk to takhi baktiah a sak; angmah ih toksah kaminawk to hmaipalai baktiah a sak;
Who makest thy angels spirits: and thy ministers a burning fire.
5 dungzan khoek to angthuih ving han ai ah, long angdoethaih ahmuen to a sak.
Who hast founded the earth upon its own bases: it shall not be moved for ever and ever.
6 Long to kahni hoiah khuk baktih toengah kathuk tui hoiah na khuk; maenawk nuiah tui na ohsak.
The deep like a garment is its clothing: above the mountains shall the waters stand.
7 Na thuitaek pongah tuinawk loe cawnh o; nangmah ih khopazih tuen pongah karangah a cawnh o.
At thy rebuke they shall flee: at the voice of thy thunder they shall fear.
8 Tuinawk loe mae nuiah long o tahang; azawnnawk ah long o tathuk moe, nihcae han na sak pae ih ahmuen ah a long o.
The mountains ascend, and the plains descend into the place which thou hast founded for them.
9 Tuinawk amlaem o moe, long to uem han ai ah, tui doeh amsah han ai ah, angzithaih ramri to na suek pae.
Thou hast set a bound which they shall not pass over; neither shall they return to cover the earth.
10 Maenawk salak ih azawnnawk ah tui to na pueksak.
Thou sendest forth springs in the vales: between the midst of the hills the waters shall pass.
11 Taw ah kaom moinawk boih hanah na naeksak; taw ih hrangnawk tui anghae na dipsak.
All the beasts of the field shall drink: the wild asses shall expect in their thirst.
12 Van ih tavaanawk loe tui taengah tabu boh o; thing tanghangnawk salakah hang o.
Over them the birds of the air shall dwell: from the midst of the rocks they shall give forth their voices.
13 A ohhaih ranui ih im hoiah maenawk to tui a bawh; long loe na toksakhaih atho hoiah zok amhah boeh.
Thou waterest the hills from thy upper rooms: the earth shall be filled with the fruit of thy works:
14 Anih mah maitawnawk hanah phroh amprawksak; kami hanah anqam kahing amprawksak pongah, kami loe long hoiah caaknaek to a hnuk,
Bringing forth grass for cattle, and herb for the service of men. That thou mayst bring bread out of the earth:
15 kami poeknawmsak thaih misurtui, mikhmai pansak hanah situi, palungthin thacaksak hanah takaw to a paek.
And that wine may cheer the heart of man. That he may make the face cheerful with oil: and that bread may strengthen man’s heart.
16 Angraeng ih thingnawk loe tui amhah o; Lebanon ah a thling ih sidar thingnawk nuiah,
The trees of the field shall be filled, and the cedars of Libanus which he hath planted:
17 tavaanawk tabu boh o; tahnong kapaw tuilawnnawk loe far thingnawk nuiah tabu boh o.
There the sparrows shall make their nests. The highest of them is the house of the heron.
18 Maesangnawk to saza hoi satharnawk prathaih ahmuen ah a suek; cathaengnawk loe savehnawk ohhaih ahmuen ah a suek pae.
The high hills are a refuge for the harts, the rock for the irchins.
19 Atue panoek hanah khrah to a sak; ni mah doeh niduemhaih atue to panoek.
He hath made the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
20 Vinghaih to na sak moe, khoving naah, taw ih moinawk boih avah o.
Thou hast appointed darkness, and it is night: in it shall all the beasts of the woods go about:
21 Saning nawk kaipuinawk loe taw ih moinawk kaek hanah a hang o; Sithaw khaeah caak han koi moi to pakrong o.
The young lions roaring after their prey, and seeking their meat from God.
22 Ni tacawt naah nawnto angpop o moe, angmacae ih thlungkhaw thungah tabok o.
The sun ariseth, and they are gathered together: and they shall lie down in their dens.
23 To naah kami loe toksak hanah caeh moe, duembang khoek to tok a sak.
Man shall go forth to his work, and to his labour until the evening.
24 Aw Angraeng, na toksakhaih loe pop parai! To hmuennawk boih to palunghahaih hoiah na sak; long loe na sak ih hmuennawk hoiah koi,
How great are thy works, O Lord? thou hast made all things in wisdom: the earth is filled with thy riches.
25 kakawk parai tuipui doeh oh moe, kathoeng kalen moinawk hoi kroeklaek ai, long ah kavak moinawk doeh oh o.
So is this great sea, which stretcheth wide its arms: there are creeping things without number: Creatures little and great.
26 Palongpuinawk loe to ahmuen ah caeh o; to ah amhai hanah, na sak ih kalen pui Leviathan doeh oh.
There the ships shall go. This sea dragon which thou hast formed to play therein.
27 To moinawk loe nang khaeah ni amha o, atue phak naah to moinawk to na pacah.
All expect of thee that thou give them food in season.
28 Na paek ih buh to ni, nihcae mah caak o; na ban pathae naah nihcae loe kahoih hmuen hoiah koi o.
What thou givest to them they shall gather up: when thou openest thy hand, they shall all be filled with good.
29 Mikhmai na hawk naah, nihcae raihaih tong o; nihcae anghahhaih takhi na lak pae ving naah, nihcae loe duek o moe, maiphu ah amlaem o let.
But if thou turnest away thy face, they shall be troubled: thou shalt take away their breath, and they shall fail, and shall return to their dust.
30 Na Muithla to na patoeh moe, nihcae to na sak; long krang hae nang thasak let.
Thou shalt send forth thy spirit, and they shall be created: and thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
31 Angraeng lensawkhaih loe dungzan khoek to om poe tih; Angraeng loe a toksakhaihnawk pongah anghoe tih.
May the glory of the Lord endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.
32 Long to a khet moe, anghuensak; anih mah maenawk sui naah, hmaikhue tacawt o.
He looketh upon the earth, and maketh it tremble: he toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.
33 Ka hing thung Angraeng khaeah laa ka sak han; khosak nathung ka Sithaw pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
I will sing to the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34 Ka poekhaih loe angmah khaeah anghoehaih ah om nasoe; kai loe Angraeng ah kang hoe han.
Let my speech be acceptable to him: but I will take delight in the Lord.
35 Kazae kaminawk loe long hoiah anghmaa o nasoe loe, kasae kaminawk doeh om o hmah lai nasoe. Aw ka hinghaih, Angraeng to tahamhoihaih paek ah. Angraeng to pakoeh ah.
Let sinners be consumed out of the earth, and the unjust, so that they be no more: O my soul, bless thou the Lord.
