< Saam 102 >
1 Patangkhang kami lawkthuihaih. A tha boeng sut naah Angraeng hmaa ah palungnat hoi lawkthuihaih.
“A prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out before the Lord his complaint.” O Lord, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto thee.
2 Raihaih ka tong naah kai khae hoi mikhmai hawk ving hmah; na naa to kai khae bangah patueng ah; kang kawk naah, karangah na pathim ah.
Hide not thy face from me on the day when I am distressed; incline unto me thy ear; on the day when I call, answer me speedily.
3 Kai ih aninawk loe hmaikhue baktiah azawk o moe, ka huhnawk doeh hmai kamngaeh baktiah kangh.
For my days vanish in smoke, and my bones are burning like a hearth.
4 Ka palungthin loe zaek moe, qam baktiah azaem; buhcaak hanah doeh ka pahnet sut boeh.
Struck [by heat] like the herb and dried up is my heart; for I forget to eat my bread.
5 Ka haam loiah ka huhnawk doeh ka ngan hin hoiah angbet caeng boeh.
Because of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my flesh.
6 Kai loe praezaek ih bukbuh baktih; long karoem ahmuen ih tavaa baktiah ni ka oh sut boeh.
I am like the pelican of the wilderness: I am become like the owl amid ruins.
I watch, and I am become like a [night-]bird sitting alone upon the housetop.
8 Ka misanawk mah ni thokkruek kasae ang thuih o; kai pahnui thuih kaminawk loe kai ih misa ah oh hanah lokthuih o.
All the day my enemies reproach me: they that mock me swear by me.
9 Maiphunawk to buh baktiah ka caak; ka naek han koi doeh mikkhraetui hoiah angbaeh,
For ashes do I eat like bread, and my drink I mingle with weeping;
Because of thy indignation and thy wrath; for thou hadst lifted me up, and hast cast me down.
11 Ka hinghaih aninawk loe kasawk tahlip baktiah oh moe, qam baktiah ka zaem.
My days are like a shadow that declineth; and like the herb I wither.
12 Toe Angraeng nang loe dungzan khoek to cak; na hmin panoekhaih doeh adungh kaminawk boih khoek to cak.
But thou, O Lord, wilt sit enthroned for ever; and thy memorial is unto all generations.
13 Nang loe angthawk ueloe, Zion nuiah palungnathaih na tawn vop tih; anih tahmenhaih atue, atue khaehhaih atue angzoh boeh.
Thou wilt indeed arise; thou wilt have mercy upon Zion; for it is time to favor her, for the appointed time is coming.
14 Na tamnanawk loe to ih thlungnawk to koeh o moe, maiphu doeh koeh o.
For thy servants hold dear her stones, and her very dust they cherish.
15 Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah Angraeng ih ahmin to zii o ueloe, long ih siangpahrangnawk boih mah a lensawkhaih to zii o tih.
Then shall nations fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory:
16 Angraeng mah Zion to pakhraih naah, anih loe a lensawkhaih hoiah angphong tih.
When the Lord shalt have built up Zion, he appeareth in his glory;
17 Amtang kaminawk lawkthuihaih lok to anih mah pathim pae tih, nihcae lawkthuihaih to patoek pae mak ai.
[When] he hath regarded the prayer of the forsaken, and doth not despise their prayer.
18 Hae kawng hae angzo han koi adung kaminawk hanah tarik tih; a sak ih kaminawk mah Angraeng to saphaw o tih.
This shall be written down for the latest generation; and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.
19 Angraeng loe kasang angmah ih hmuenciim hoiah khet tathuk moe, van hoiah long to a dan tathuk,
For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; the Lord hath cast from heaven his view to the earth:
20 thongkrah kaminawk hanghaih lok to tahngai pae, kadueh tom kaminawk to loisak hanah,
To hear the sighing of the prisoner; to loosen those that are doomed to death:
21 Zion ah Angraeng ih ahmin to taphong moe, Jerusalem ah anih saphawhaih laa to sak pacoengah,
That men may proclaim in Zion the name of the Lord, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22 Angraeng ih tok sak hanah, kaminawk hoi praenawk nawnto amkhueng o tih.
When people are gathered together, and kingdoms, to serve the Lord.—
He hath weakened on the way my strength; he hath shortened my days.
24 To pongah kai mah, Aw ka Sithaw, khosak hoih li naah ka hinghaih na la pae ving hmah; nang ih saningnawk loe angzo han koi adung kaminawk khoek to oh.
I will say, O my God! take me not away in the midst of my days: throughout all generations are thy years.
In olden times didst thou lay the foundations of the earth; and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26 Nihcae loe anghma angtaa o tih, toe nang loe na om poe tih; ue, nihcae loe kahni baktiah prawn o boih tih; nihcae to kahni baktiah nam khraisak tih, to naah nihcae loe amkhraih o tih.
These will indeed perish, but thou wilt ever exist: yea, all of them will wear out like a garment; as a vesture wilt thou change them, and they will be changed;
But thou art ever the same, and thy years will have no end.
The children of thy servants will dwell [securely], and their seed will be firmly established before thee.
