Nehemiah 7

Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 Oepthok, Sithaw zii kami, siangpahrang ohhaih ahmuen khenzawnkung, Hananiah hoi kam nawk Hanani khaeah Jerusalem vangpui to ka aap,
That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3 nihnik khaeah, Ni bae ai karoek to Jerusalem khongkha to paong hoi hmah; khongkha toep kaminawk mah thok to kha o nasoe loe, takraeng o nasoe; Jerusalem ih kaminawk mah angmacae taengah misatoep suem o boih nasoe, tiah ka naa.
And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be opposite to his house.
4 Vangpui loe len moe, kawk parai; toe athung ah kami zetta ni oh o; imnawk doeh pacoeng o boih ai vop.
Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not built.
5 To naah angraengnawk, ukkungnawk hoi kaminawk boih, acaeng anghumhaih takung to parui hanah, Sithaw mah poekhaih ang paek. Hmaloe koek amlaem kaminawk ih acaeng anghumhaih kawng paruihaih cabu to ka hnuk.
And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,

These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
7 to kaminawk loe Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordekai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum hoi Baanah hoi nawnto angzoh o; milu kok ih Israel kaminawk loe;
Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;

The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.

The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
10 Arah ih capanawk thung hoiah cumvai taruk, qui panga, hnetto,
The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.
11 Pahath-Moab acaeng Joshua hoi Joab ih capanawk loe sang hnet, cumvai tazet, hatlai tazetto,
The children of Pahathmoab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
12 Elam ih capanawk loe sang, cumvai hnet, qui panga, palito,
The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
13 Zattu ih capanawk loe cumvai tazet, qui pali, pangato,
The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.
14 Zakkai ih capanawk loe cumvai sarih, quitarukto,
The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.
15 Binnui ih capanawk loe cumvai taruk, qui pali, tazetto,
The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.
16 Bebai ih capanawk loe cumvai taruk, pumphae tazetto,
The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
17 Azgad ih capanawk loe sang hnet, cumvai thum, pumphae hnetto,
The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
18 Adonikam ih capanawk loe cumvai taruk, qui taruk, sarihto,
The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.
19 Bigvai ih capanawk loe sang hnet, qui taruk, sarihto,
The children of Bigvai, two thousand threescore and seven.
20 Adin ih capanawk loe cumvai taruk, qui panga, pangato,
The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
21 Ater hoi Hezekiah ih capanawk loe qui takawt, tazetto,
The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
22 Hashum ih capanawk loe cumvai thum, pumphae tazetto,
The children of Hashum, three hundred twenty and eight.
23 Bezai ih capanawk loe cumvai thum, pumphae palito,
The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.
24 Hariph ih capanawk loe cumvai, hatlai hnetto,
The children of Hariph, an hundred and twelve.
25 Gibeon ih capanawk loe qui takawt, pangato,
The children of Gibeon, ninety and five.
26 Bethlehem hoi Netophah ih capanawk loe cumvai, qui tazet, tazetto,
The men of Bethlehem and Netophah, an hundred fourscore and eight.
27 Anathoth ih capanawk loe cumvai, pumphae, tazetto,
The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.
28 Beth Azma veth ih capanawk loe qui pali, hnetto,
The men of Bethazmaveth, forty and two.
29 Kiriath Jearim, Khephirah hoi Beeroth ih capanawk loe cumvai sarih, qui pali, thumto,
The men of Kirjathjearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.
30 Ramah hoi Geba ih capanawk loe cumvai taruk, pumphae, maeto,
The men of Ramah and Gaba, six hundred twenty and one.
31 Mikmash ih capanawk loe cumvai, pumphae hnetto,
The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.
32 Bethel hoi Ai ih capanawk loe cumvai, pumphae thumto,
The men of Bethel and Ai, an hundred twenty and three.
33 Kalah Nebo ih capanawk loe qui panga, hnetto,
The men of the other Nebo, fifty and two.
34 Kalah Elam ih capanawk loe sang, cumvai hnet, qui panga, palito,
The children of the other Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
35 Harim ih capanawk loe cumvai thum, pumphaeto,
The children of Harim, three hundred and twenty.
36 Jeriko ih capanawk loe cumvai thum, qui pali, pangato,
The children of Jericho, three hundred forty and five.
37 Lod, Hadid hoi Ono ih capanawk loe cumvai sarih, pumphae maeto,
The children of Lod, Hadid, and Ono, seven hundred twenty and one.

The children of Senaah, three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
39 Qaimanawk; Jeshua acaeng thung ih, Jedaiah ih capanawk loe cumvai takawt, qui sarih, thumto,
The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.
40 Immer ih capanawk loe sang, qui panga, hnetto,
The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.
41 Passhur ih capanawk loe sang, cumvai hnet, qui pali, sarihto,
The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.
42 Harim ih capanawk loe sang, hatlai sarihto,
The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
43 Levinawk; Hodaviah acaeng, Jeshua hoi anghum tathuk, Kadmiel ih capanawk loe qui sarih, palito oh o.
The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.
44 Laasah kaminawk; Asaph ih capanawk loe cumvai, qui pali, tazetto oh o.
The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.
45 Khongkha toep kaminawk; Shallum, Ater, Talmon, Akkub, Hatita hoi Shobai ih capanawk loe cumvai, qui thum, tazetto oh o.
The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.
46 Nethinims tiah kawk ih im thungah toksah tamnanawk loe, Ziha ih capanawk, Hashupha ih capanawk, Tabbaoth ih capanawk,
The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
47 Keros ih capanawk, Sia ih capanawk, Padon ih capanawk,
The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
48 Lebana ih capanawk, Hagaba ih capanawk, Shalmai ih capanawk,
The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,
49 Hanan ih capanawk, Giddel ih capanawk, Gahar ih capanawk,
The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,
50 Reaiah ih capanawk, Rezin ih capanawk, Nekoda ih capanawk,
The children of Reaiah, the children of Rezin, the children of Nekoda,

The children of Gazzam, the children of Uzza, the children of Phaseah,

The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.
57 Solomon tamannawk ih caa patoengnawk; Sotai ih capanawk, Sophereth ih capanawk, Perida ih capanawk,
The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58 Jaala ih capanawk, Darkon ih capanawk, Giddel ih capanawk,
The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59 Shephatiah ih capanawk, Hattil ih capanawk, Pokereth ih capanawk, Zebaim hoi Amon ih capanawk,
The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
60 im thung toksah tamnanawk hoi Solomon tamnanawk ih capanawk loe cumvai thum, qui takawt, hnetto oh o.
All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61 To pacoengah Israel kami tangtang maw, tangtang ai, tiah patuek thai ai, angmacae ampa ih imthung takoh hoi acaengnawk doeh patuek thai ai, Tel Melah, Tel Haresha, Kherub, Addon hoi Immer vangpui hoi angzo kaminawk loe,
And these were they which went up also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not show their father's house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
62 Delailah ih capanawk, Tobiah hoi Nekoda ih capanawk loe, cumvai taruk, qui pali, hnetto,
The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
63 Qaimanawk thungah; Hobaiah ih capanawk, Koz hoi Barzillai ih capanawk (hae kami loe Gilead ih kami Barzillai ih canu zu haih pongah anih ih ahmin, Barzillai to patoh) loe,
And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
64 nihcae loe acaeng anghumhaih kawng pakuemhaih cabu thungah angmacae ih ahmin to hnu o ai; nihcae loe acaeng ciim ai pongah, qaima angdoethaih ahmuen hoiah takhoe o ving.
These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
65 To pongah Tirshatha (prae ukkung mah), nangcae loe qaima tangtang maw tangtang ai, tiah Urim hoi Thummim khae hoiah amtuenghaih om ai karoek to, kaciim koek caaknaek to na caa o mak ai, tiah a naa.
And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
66 Nihcae ih capanawk loe sangqum boih ah sing pali, sang hnet, cumvai thum, quitarukto oh o,
The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
67 to pacoengah nongpa hoi nongpata tamnanawk loe sang sarih, cumvai thum, qui thum, sarihto oh o vop; laasah nongpa nongpata kaminawk loe cumvai hnet, qui pali, pangato oh bae vop.
Beside their male servants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.
68 Nihcae ih Hrang loe cumvai sarih, qui thum, tarukto, mule hrang cumvai hnet, qui pali, pangato,
Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:
69 kaengkuu hrang cumvai pali, qui thum, pangato, laa hrang sang taruk, cumvai sarih, pumphaeto oh.
Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
70 Thoemto acaeng ukkungnawk mah toksakhaih hmuenmaenawk to paqum o. Tirshatha (prae ukkung) mah doeh, sum kanglung dram sangto, boengloeng quipangato, qaima khukbuen cumvai panga, quithumto hmuenmae pakuemkung khaeah paek.
And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.
71 Acaeng ukkung thoemto kaminawk mah toksak haih hanah, tangka pakuemkung khaeah, sui drama sing hnetto, sumkanglung boengloeng sang hnet, cumvai hnetto paek o.
And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
72 Minawk kalah mah sui drama sing hnetto, sumkanglung boengloeng sang hnetto, qaimanawk hanah khukbuen qui taruk, sarihto paqum o.
And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.
73 To pongah, qaimanawk, Levi acaengnawk, khongkha toep kaminawk, laasah kaminawk hoi im ah toksah Nethinim tamnanawk, thoemto kaminawk hoi kanghmat Israelnawk boih loe angmacae ih vangpui ah oh o; khrah sarihto phak naah, Israel caanawk loe angmacae ih vangpui ah ah oh o.
So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
