< Mikah 6 >

1 Angraeng mah thuih ih lok hae tahngai ah; Angthawk ah loe, maenawk hma ah nangmah kawng to thui ah; na lok to maenawk mah thaih o nasoe.
Hear ye what Jehovah saith! Arise, contend thou before the mountains, And let the hills hear thy voice!
2 Long ah kacak ohhaih ahmuen katawn, Aw maenawk, Angraeng laisaephaih to tahngai oh; Angraeng loe angmah ih kaminawk nuiah laisaep moe, Israel hoi lok angaekhaih to om tih.
Hear, O ye mountains, the controversy of Jehovah! Hear, ye strong foundations of the earth! For Jehovah hath a controversy with his people; He contendeth with Israel.
3 Kai ih kaminawk, nangcae nuiah ka sak pazaehaih oh maw? Hmuenzit tih maw kang phawh o sak? Ka sethaih to na thui oh.
“O my people, what have I done to thee, And wherein have I offended thee? Testify against me!
4 Nangcae to Izip prae thung hoiah kang zaeh moe, tamna ah ohhaih thung hoiah kang loih o sak; nangcae hma ah Mosi, Aaron hoi Miriam to kang patoeh.
I brought thee up from the land of Egypt, And from the house of bondage I redeemed thee; I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, to go before thee.
5 Kai ih kaminawk khaeah, Moab siangpahrang Balak mah timaw thuih, Boer capa Baalam mah anih khaeah tih lok maw pathim pae, tito panoek oh; to tiah nahaeloe Shitiim hoi Gilgal khoek to zaehoikung Angraeng toenghaih to na panoek o tih.
O my people, remember what Balak the king of Moab devised. And what Balaam, the son of Beor, answered him, What happened from Shittim to Gilgal, That ye may know the mercies of Jehovah.”
6 Tih hoiah maw Angraeng hmaa ah kang zoh moe, kasang Angraeng hmaa ah ka kuep han? Hmai angbawnhaih sak hanah saningto kaom maitaw caa hoiah maw kang zoh han?
Wherewith shall I come before Jehovah, And bow myself before the most high God? Shall I come before him with burnt-offerings, With calves of a year old?
7 Angraeng loe tuu tae sangto, to tiah ai boeh loe situi vapui sang hato paek caedoeh palung anghoe tih maw? Ka sakpazaehaih pongah tapen tangsuek ka caa to ka paek moe, ka hingh zaehaih pongah ka takpum thingthai to ka paek han maw?
Will Jehovah be pleased with thousands of rams, Or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my first-born for the sin of my soul, The fruit of my body for my transgression?
8 Aw kami, anih mah kahoih hmuen to ang patuek boeh; katoengah toksakhaih, palungnathaih to awt moe, poek pahnaemhaih hoiah na Sithaw hoi nawnto lam caeh khue ai ah loe, Angraeng mah ang hnik ih kalah hmuen timaw oh vop?
He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; What doth Jehovah require of thee, But to do justly, and to love mercy, And to walk humbly before thy God?
9 Angraeng ih lok vangpui thungah amsongh, palungha kami loe na hmin saiqathaih paek tih; thingboeng hoiah nang thuitaekkung ih lok to tahngai ah.
The voice of Jehovah crieth to the city, And the man of wisdom will discern thee; Hear ye the rod, and who hath threatened it!
10 Kahoih ai loklam hoi na hak ih hmuenmaenawk hoi panuet thok katoeng ai hmuenzit tahhaih to imthung ah na suek maw?
Are there not yet in the houses of the unrighteous the treasures of iniquity, And the scanty measure, which is abominable?
11 Katoeng ai tahhaih hoi pasah koiah aling ih hmuenmae suekhaih vangpui to kaciim vangpui ah ka kroek han maw?
Shall I count her pure with the wicked balances, And with the bag of deceitful weights?
12 Anih ih angraengnawk loe athii palonghaih to koeh o moe, to ah kaom kaminawk loe lok amlai o, palai hoi alinghaih lok to a thuih o.
For her rich men are full of violence, And her inhabitants speak lies, And their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
13 Na zae o boeh pongah, kang caeh o taak moe, nganbawh kana kang paek o han.
Therefore will I sorely smite thee, And make thee desolate on account of thy sins.
14 Buh to na caa tih, toe zok nam hah mak ai; zok nam thlam toengtoeng vop tih. Thoemto hmuennawk to na la tih, toe na patung thai mak ai; na patung ih hmuen to sumsen khaeah ka paek han.
Thou shalt eat and not be satisfied, And hunger shall be within thee. Thou shalt remove, but shalt not save, And what thou savest will I give up to the sword.
15 Na patii tih, toe na aat mak ai; Olive situi na pasaw tih, toe situi to nang nok mak ai; kaluep misurtui to na pasaw tih, toe misurtui to na nae mak ai.
Thou shalt sow, but shalt not reap; Thou shalt tread the olives, but shalt not anoint thee with oil, And the grapes, but shalt not drink the wine.
16 Nang loe Omri ih kuu to na lak, Ahab imthung takoh ih tuinuen to nam tuk moe, nihcae khosakhaih dan to na pazui pongah, kam rosak han, nang ih kaminawk doeh tamhnuih tabu ah ka sak han: to pongah kai ih kaminawk kasaethuihaih to na phaw tih.
For ye keep the statutes of Omri, And all the works of the house of Ahab, And walk in their devices; Therefore will I make thee a desolation, And thine inhabitants a derision; And ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
