< Mikah 3 >

1 To naah kai mah, Aw Jakob zaehoikungnawk, Israel imthung takoh ukkungnawk, tahngai oh; katoeng ah lokcaekhaih na panoek o han om ai maw? tiah ka naa.
I said, “Please listen, you heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: Isn’t it for you to know justice?
2 Kahoih to na hnukma o moe, sethaih to na koeh o lat; kai kaminawk ih ahin to na khok pae o moe, ahuh pong ih ngan doeh na khok pae o;
You who hate the good, and love the evil; who tear off their skin, and their flesh from off their bones;
3 nangcae loe laom pui pongah thongh han ih moi baktih, laom pongah thongh hanah abaeh ih moi baktiah, kai kaminawk ih ngan to na caak o moe, ahin to na khok o pacoengah, ahuhnawk to na khaeh pae o.
who also eat the flesh of my people, and peel their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as meat within the cauldron.
4 Nito naah loe nihcae mah Angraeng khaeah hang o tih, toe anih mah pathim pae mak ai: a sak o ih hmuen hoih ai pongah, to tiah a hangh o naah anih mah nihcae khae hoi mikhmai hawk ving tih.
Then they will cry to the LORD, but he will not answer them. Yes, he will hide his face from them at that time, because they made their deeds evil.”
5 Angraeng mah kai ih kami loklam amkhraengsak, tahmaanawk kawng to hae tiah thuih; buh pacah o naah nihcae mah monghaih kawng to thuih o, buh pacah o ai naah loe, misa anghtawkhaih kawng to a thuih o.
The LORD says concerning the prophets who lead my people astray—for those who feed their teeth, they proclaim, “Peace!” and whoever doesn’t provide for their mouths, they prepare war against him:
6 To pongah hnuksakhaih a hnuk o han ai ah, nangcae nuiah vinghaih to pha ueloe, angzo han koi thuih han ai ah, vinghaih to na tong o tih; tahmaanawk hanah ni duemh tih, khodai loe nihcae han khoving ah angcoeng tih.
“Therefore night is over you, with no vision, and it is dark to you, that you may not divine; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them.
7 Hnukhaih tawn kaminawk loe azat o ueloe, angzo han koi thui thaih kaminawk loe poek anghmang o sut tih; ue, Sithaw khae hoi lok pathimhaih om ai pongah, nihcae loe pahni tamuep o boih tih, tiah thuih.
The seers shall be disappointed, and the diviners confounded. Yes, they shall all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God.”
8 Toe kai loe Jakob zaehaih hoi Israel zaehaih to taphong hanah, Angraeng ih Muithla hoiah ka koi; toenghaih, thacakhaih hoi sak thaihaih to ang paek.
But as for me, I am full of power by the LORD’s Spirit, and of judgement, and of might, to declare to Jacob his disobedience, and to Israel his sin.
9 Nangcae Jakob ih imthung takoh zaehoikung angraengnawk, Israel imthung takoh ukkung angraengnawk, tahngai oh; toenghaih to na panuet o moe, loktang to nam ro o sak.
Please listen to this, you heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice, and pervert all equity,
10 Athii palonghaih hoiah Zion to na sak o moe, zaehaih hoiah Jerusalem to na sak o.
who build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 Zaehoikungnawk loe bokhaih phoisa to talawk o pongah, katoengah lok takroek o ai, qaimanawk loe tangqum paek naah ni ca patuk o, nihcae ih tahmaanawk doeh tangka paek pacoengah ni hmabang angzo han koi hmuen kawng to thuih pae o. Toe nihcae loe Angraeng abomhaih to oep o moe, aicae salakah Angraeng oh na ai maw? Aicae nuiah raihaih pha mak ai, tiah a thuih o.
Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money; yet they lean on the LORD, and say, “Isn’t the LORD amongst us? No disaster will come on us.”
12 Nangcae pongah, Zion loe laikok baktiah atok tih, Jerusalem loe long kangpop baktiah angpop sut tih, tempul sakhaih mae doeh taw ih hmuensangnawk baktiah om tih.
Therefore Zion for your sake will be ploughed like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.
