They came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 Anih palong thung hoi tacawt naah, takoh thungah taqawk sae tawn kami maeto loe anih to hnuk hanah taprong hoiah angzoh.
When he had come out of the boat, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of the tombs.
3 To kami loe taprong ah oh moe, mi mah doeh anih to taoeng o thai ai; sumqui hoiah doeh taoeng o thai ai:
He lived in the tombs. Nobody could bind him any more, not even with chains,
4 vaihi hoi vaihi anih to sumboeng hoiah thlongthuk o moe, sumqui hoiah taoeng o cadoeh, anih mah sumqui to taprawt pat moe, sumboeng doeh adaem boih: mi mah doeh anih to angam o sak duem thai ai.
because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him, and the fetters broken in pieces. Nobody had the strength to tame him.
5 To kami loe qum thun, mae nui hoi taprong ah a hangh moe, angmah hoi angmah to thlung kanoe hoiah ang aah.
Always, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones.
6 Toe anih mah kangtla ahmuen hoiah Jesu to hnuk naah, a cawnh moe, anih to bok.
When he saw Yeshua from afar, he ran and bowed down to him,
7 Tha hoiah a hangh moe, Kai hoi nang timaw asaenghaih oh? Jesu, kasang koek Sithaw Capa, Sithaw hmin hoiah tahmenhaih kang hnik, na pacaekthlaek hmah, tiah a naa.
and crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have I to do with you, Yeshua, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, don’t torment me.”
8 Jesu mah anih khaeah, Nang kaciim ai taqawk sae, kami takoh thung hoi tacawt ah, tiah a naa.
For he said to him, “Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!”
9 Anih mah to kami khaeah, Na hmin loe mi aa? tiah a dueng; to kami mah, Kaicae loe ka pop o parai pongah, ka hmin loe legion, tiah pathim pae.
He asked him, “What is your name?” He said to him, “My name is Legion, for we are many.”
10 Nihcae to prae kangthla ah patoeh ving han ai ah, to kami mah Jesu khaeah tahmenhaih hnik pae khruek.
He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Mae hoi kazoi ah kalen parai ok pacahhaih ahmuen to oh.
Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding.
12 Taqawknawk mah Anih khaeah, Ok takoh thungah ka kun o hanah, na patoeh halat ah, tiah tahmenhaih a hnik o.
All the demons begged him, saying, “Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them.”
13 Jesu mah nihcae to tacawtsak roep. Kaciim ai taqawknawk loe tacawt o moe, ok thungah akun o: oknawk loe tuipui bangah cawnh o tathuk moe, (to oknawk loe sang hnetto phak duih; ) tuipui thungah uem o boih.
At once Yeshua gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs. The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in the sea.
14 Ok pacah kaminawk loe vangpui hoi vangta bangah cawnh o moe, to ah kaom hmuen kawng to a thuih pae o. Paroeai kaminawk loe to ah kaom hmuen to khet hanah caeh o.
Those who fed the pigs fled, and told it in the city and in the country. The people came to see what it was that had happened.
15 Jesu khae phak o naah, taqawk mah naeh ih legion tawn kami loe, khukbuen to angkhuk moe, palungha ta hoiah anghnut, anih to hnuk o naah, a zit o.
They came to Yeshua, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed, and in his right mind, even him who had the legion; and they were afraid.
16 Taqawk mah naeh ih kami hoi ok nuiah kaom hmuen hnu kaminawk mah kaminawk khaeah thuih pae o patoeng.
Those who saw it declared to them what happened to him who was possessed by demons, and about the pigs.
17 To pacoengah nihcae mah to prae to tacawt taak hanah, Anih khaeah tahmenhaih hnik o.
They began to beg him to depart from their region.

As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons begged him that he might be with him.
19 Toe Jesu mah bangsak ai, to kami khaeah, Nam puinawk khaeah, im ah caeh ah loe, Angraeng mah na nuiah, kawkrukmaw tahmenhaih tawnh moe, kalen parai hmuennawk to ang sak pae, tito thui ah, tiah a naa.
He didn’t allow him, but said to him, “Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you and how he had mercy on you.”
20 Anih loe caeh moe, Jesu mah kawkruk kalen hmuen maw anih hanah sak pae, tito Dekapolis ah a thuih: to naah kaminawk boih mah dawnrai o.
He went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how Yeshua had done great things for him, and everyone marvelled.
21 Jesu loe palong hoiah tuipui yaeh ah caeh moe, tuipui taengah oh, to naah paroeai kaminawk anih khaeah amkhueng o:
When Yeshua had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to him; and he was by the sea.
22 khenah, Jairu, tiah ahmin kaom, Sineko ukkung maeto angzoh; anih mah Jesu to hnuk naah, a khokkung ah tabok,
Behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, came; and seeing him, he fell at his feet

and begged him much, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live.”

He went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they pressed upon him on all sides.

A certain woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years,

and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse,

having heard the things concerning Yeshua, came up behind him in the crowd and touched his clothes.
28 Anih ih kahni to ka sui nahaeloe, ngan ka tui tih, tiah a poek.
For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”
29 To naah kalong athii to khap roep; a nathaih hoih boih boeh, tiah a takpum ah panoekhaih to tawnh roep.
Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
30 Jesu mah a takpum thung hoiah sakthaihaih tacawt boeh, tiah panoek roep naah, pop parai kaminawk khaeah angqoi moe, mi maw kai ih kahni kasui? tiah a dueng.
Immediately Yeshua, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 A hnukbang kaminawk mah anih khaeah, Pop parai kaminawk mah ang et o, tito na panoek to mah, Kai sui kami loe mi maw? tiah na thuih, tiah a naa o.
His disciples said to him, “You see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’”

He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 Jesu mah nongpata khaeah, Ka canu na tanghaih mah ang hoisak boeh; kamongta ah caeh ah, na nathaih to hoih lai nasoe, tiah a naa.
He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease.”
35 To tiah anih mah lokthuih li naah, Sineko ukkung Jairu ih im hoiah thoemto kaminawk loe angzoh o moe, Na canu loe duek boeh: tih hanah Patukkung to raihaih na paek khing loe? tiah a naa o.
While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler’s house, saying, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Rabbi any more?”
36 Jesu mah to lok to thaih naah, anih mah Sineko ukkung khaeah, Zii hmah, tanghaih khue mah tawn ah, tiah a naa.
But Yeshua, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”
37 Anih mah mi kawbaktih doeh a hnukah bangsak ai, Piter, Jakob hoi Jakob amnawk Johan khue to a kawk.
He allowed no one to follow him except Peter, Jacob, and Yochanan the brother of Jacob.
38 Sineko ukkung im ah a phak o naah loe, palungset hoi kaqah pop parai kaminawk to a hnuk.
He came to the synagogue ruler’s house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.
39 Anih loe imthung ah akun, nihcae khaeah, Tikhoe hae tiah palungset hoiah na qah o loe? Nawkta loe dueh ai, iih ni a iih, tiah a naa.
When he had entered in, he said to them, “Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.”
40 To naah nihcae mah anih to pahnui o thuih. Anih mah to ah kaom kaminawk to tasa bangah tacawtsak boih moe, nawkta ih amno hoi ampa, angmah hoi nawnto kaom kaminawk to nawkta pasonghaih ahmuen ah a caeh haih.
They ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was lying.
41 Nawkta to ban ah sui moe, anih khaeah, Talitha kumi, tiah a naa; a thuih koehhaih loe, Nawkta ta, angthawk lai ah, tiah kang naa, tih haih ih ni.
Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted, “Girl, I tell you, get up!”
42 Akra ai ah nongpata ta loe angthawk moe, lam a caeh; nongpata loe saning hatlai hnetto oh boeh. To ah kaom kaminawk loe paroeai dawnrai o.
Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.
43 Anih mah to ah kaom kaminawk khaeah minawk panoek o sak hmah, tiah acoehaih a paek; to pacoengah nongpata ta hanah caaknaek to paek oh, tiah a naa.
He strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.
