3 Mi kawbaktih mah doeh nang hnik khaeah tih hanah hae tiah na sak hoi loe? tiah thui nahaeloe, Angraeng mah angtoeng, akra ai ah na thak phrat tih hmang, tiah thui pae hoih, tiah a naa.
and if any one may say to you, Why do ye this? say ye that the lord hath need of it, and immediately he will send it hither.'
4 To pongah nihnik loe caeh hoi moe, a hnuk hoi ih khongkha tasa bangah kaom lampui taengah paeh ih laa hrang to a khramh hoi naah,
And they went away, and found the colt tied at the door without, by the two ways, and they loose it,

and certain of those standing there said to them, 'What do ye — loosing the colt?'

and they said to them as Jesus commanded, and they suffered them.

And they brought the colt unto Jesus, and did cast upon it their garments, and he sat upon it,

and many did spread their garments in the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees, and were strewing in the way.
9 Hmabang caeh kaminawk hoi a hnukah angzo kaminawk mah, Hosana; Angraeng ih ahmin hoi angzo kami loe tahamhoihaih om nasoe:
And those going before and those following were crying out, saying, 'Hosanna! blessed [is] he who is coming in the name of the Lord;

And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple, and having looked round on all things, it being now evening, he went forth to Bethany with the twelve.
12 Khawnbangah, anih Bethani avang hoi angzoh naah, anih loe zok amthlam:
And on the morrow, they having come forth from Bethany, he hungered,

and having seen a fig-tree afar off having leaves, he came, if perhaps he shall find anything in it, and having come to it, he found nothing except leaves, for it was not a time of figs,
14 Jesu mah thaiduet kung khaeah, Nang khae hoi ih athaih to mi mah doeh dungzan khoek to caa hmah nasoe, tiah a naa. To lok to a hnukbang kaminawk mah thaih o. (aiōn )

And they come to Jerusalem, and Jesus having gone into the temple, began to cast forth those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those selling the doves, he overthrew,
16 Mi kawbaktih hanah doeh tempul thung ih hmuen to sinsak ai.
and he did not suffer that any might bear a vessel through the temple,
17 Nihcae khaeah, Kai ih im loe acaeng kaminawk boih lawkthuihaih im ah om tih, tiah tarik ih lok to oh na ai maw? Toe nangcae mah loe kamqunawk ohhaih akhaw ah na sak o lat, tiah a naa.
and he was teaching, saying to them, 'Hath it not been written — My house a house of prayer shall be called for all the nations, and ye did make it a den of robbers?'
18 Ca tarik kaminawk hoi kalen koek qaima mah to kawng to thaih o naah, anih hum thaihaih loklam to pakrong o: anih mah patuk ih lok pongah kaminawk dawnrai o boih, to pongah anih to zit o.
And the scribes and the chief priests heard, and they were seeking how they shall destroy him, for they were afraid of him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching;
19 Duembang phak naah, anih loe vangpui thung hoiah tacawt.
and when evening came, he was going forth without the city.
20 Akhawnbang khawnthaw ah, nihcae tacawt o naah, tangzun hoi kamtong kangqo boih thaiduet kung to a hnuk o.
And in the morning, passing by, they saw the fig-tree having been dried up from the roots,

and Peter having remembered saith to him, 'Rabbi, lo, the fig-tree that thou didst curse is dried up.'
22 Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Sithaw tanghaih tawn oh.
And Jesus answering saith to them, 'Have faith of God;

for verily I say to you, that whoever may say to this mount, Be taken up, and be cast into the sea, and may not doubt in his heart, but may believe that the things that he saith do come to pass, it shall be to him whatever he may say.
24 To pongah kang thuih o, Lawkthuihaih hoi na hnik o ih hmuennawk boih loe, ka hnuk o boeh, tiah tang oh, to tiah nahaeloe na hnu o tih.
Because of this I say to you, all whatever — praying — ye do ask, believe that ye receive, and it shall be to you.
25 Lawkthuih han nang doet o naah, minawk nuiah sakpazaehaih om nahaeloe, to zaehaih to tahmen oh; to tiah ni van ah kaom nangcae Ampa mah na sak pazaehaihnawk to tahmen toeng tih.

26 Toe zaehaih na tahmen o ai nahaeloe, van ah kaom nangcae Ampa mah doeh na sak pazaehaihnawk to tahmen mak ai, tiah a naa.
and, if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your trespasses.'

And they come again to Jerusalem, and in the temple, as he is walking, there come unto him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,

29 Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Kai doeh lok maeto kang dueng o toeng han, na pathim oh, to pacoengah ni, naa ih sakthaihaih akaa hoiah maw hae hmuennawk hae ka sak, tito kang thuih o han.
And Jesus answering said to them, 'I will question you — I also — one word; and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things;
30 Johan tuinuemhaih loe van bang ih maw, to tih ai boeh loe kami khae hoi ih? Na pathim oh, tiah a naa.
the baptism of John — from heaven was it? or from men? answer me.'
31 To naah nihcae mah, Van bang hoi ih ni, tiah a thuih o nahaeloe, anih mah to tiah nahaeloe, tipongah anih to na tang o ai loe? tiah na naa tih.
And they were reasoning with themselves, saying, 'If we may say, From heaven, he will say, Wherefore, then, did ye not believe him?
32 Kaminawk khae hoi ih ni, tiah a thuih o nahaeloe, kaminawk boih mah, Johan loe tahmaa ni, tiah poek o pongah, kaminawk to zit thoh koek bae, tiah angmacae hoi angmacae to lok ang thuih o.
But if we may say, From men,' — they were fearing the people, for all were holding John that he was indeed a prophet;
33 To pongah nihcae mah Jesu khaeah, Ka thui o thai ai, tiah pathim pae o. To naah Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Kai mah doeh naa ih sakthaihaih hoiah maw hae hmuennawk hae ka sak, tito kang thui o mak ai, tiah a naa.
and answering they say to Jesus, 'We have not known;' and Jesus answering saith to them, 'Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.'
