< Luka 21 >

For they have all put in gifts for God out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, has put in all that she had to live on.”
5 Thoemto kaminawk mah loe kahoih thlung hoi tangqum ah paek ih hmuennawk hoiah temple pathoephaih kawng to a thuih o.
Then, as some were talking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts consecrated to God, Jesus said,
6 To naah anih mah na hnuk o ih, maeto pacoeng maeto kamhong thlung to anghmat ai ah, vah phaenghaih atue to pha tih, tiah thuih pae.

But before all these things take place, they will arrest you and persecute you. They will deliver you up to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name's sake.
13 Toe hae loe nangcae han tanghaih kawng taphonghaih atue kahoih ah om tih.
This will lead to opportunities for you to bear witness.
14 Nangcae mah timaw pathim han, tito mawnh han ai ah acoe oh:
Therefore settle it in your hearts not to prepare your defense in advance.

For I will give you a mouth to speak and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to refute or resist.
16 Amno ampa, nawkamya, canawk hoi ampuinawk mah na pahnawt o ueloe, nihcae mah nangcae thung ih thoemto kaminawk to hum o tih.
You will even be betrayed by parents, relatives, friends, and brothers, and they will have some of you put to death.

22 To ninawk loe cabu thungah tarik ih hmuennawk boih akoep thai hanah, lu lakhaih niah om tih.
For those will be days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.

Woe to those who are with child and to those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
24 Nihcae loe sumsen hoiah dueh o ueloe, acaeng boih misong ah laem o tih: Gentelnawk ih atue koep ai karoek to Jerusalem loe Gentelnawk mah atii o tih.
They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Then he told them a parable: “Consider the fig tree and all the other trees.

As soon as they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.
31 To baktih toengah, hae baktih kaom hmuennawk hae na hnuk o naah, Sithaw prae loe zoi boeh, tito panoek oh.

And all the people would come to him early in the morning to listen to him in the temple courts.
