< Luka 18 >

1 Kaminawk loe thazok ai ah lawkthuih han angaih, tiah nihcae khaeah patahhaih lok maeto a thuih pae;
He was speaking then (and *ko*) a parable to them about it needing always to pray (they *no*) and not to lose heart
2 avang maeto ah Sithaw zii ai, kami mikhmai doeh khen ai lokcaekkung maeto oh:
saying; A judge certain there was in a certain city God not fearing and man not respecting.
3 to avang thungah lamhmai maeto oh; lamhmai loe lokcaekkung khaeah caeh moe, Ka misa nuiah lu lak hanah lok na caek paeh, tiah tahmenhaih a hnik.
A widow then there was in the city that and she was coming to him saying; do avenge me of the adversary of mine.
4 Atue nasetto thungah maw loe anih mah lokcaek ai ah oh pae: toe hnukkhuem ah loe, Sithaw to ka zii ai, kami mikhmai doeh ka khen ai;
And not (he was desiring [to do] *N(k)O*) for a time. afterward however he said within himself; If even God not I fear (nor *N(k)O*) man respect,
5 toe hae lamhmai mah raihaih ang paek khing boeh pongah, lok takroek pae halat ue, to tih ai nahaeloe anih angzo khing ueloe, raihaih na paek moeng tih, tiah a poek, tiah a naa.
because yet it occasioning me trouble widow this I will avenge her, so that not to end coming she may exhaust me.
6 Angraeng mah, Katoeng ai lokcaek kami ih lok to poek oh.
Said then the Lord; do hear what the judge unrighteous says;
7 Sithaw mah angmah khaeah qum thun lawkthui kami, a qoih ih kaminawk hanah lokcaek pae mak ai maw, nihcae to atue kasawkah angam taak duem tih maw?
And God certainly not (may do *N(k)O*) the avenging of the elect of Him the [ones] crying out (to *k*) (to Him *N(k)O*) day and night, and (be patient *N(k)O*) in regard to them?
8 Kang thuih o, anih loe nihcae han karangah lokcaek pae tih. Toe Kami Capa angzoh naah Anih mah long nuiah tanghaih hnu tang tih maw? tiah a naa.
I say to you that He will carry out the avenging of them with speed. Nevertheless the Son of Man having come surely not will He find faith on the earth?
9 Anih mah angmacae toenghaih angoep, minawk khet patoek kaminawk khaeah hae patahhaih lok hae a thuih pae:
He spoke now also to some having trusted in themselves that they are righteous and (despising *NK(o)*) the others parable this.
10 kami hnik loe lawkthuih hanah tempul ah caeh hoi; maeto loe Farasi kami ah oh moe, kalah maeto loe tamut cong kami ah oh.
Men two went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11 Farasi kami loe angdoet moe, Sithaw, kai loe minawk ih hmuen kalomh, kazae kaminawk, zu sava laep ah zaehaih sah kaminawk maw, to tih ai boeh loe hae ih tamut cong kami baktiah ka om ai pongah, anghoehaih lawk kang thuih.
The Pharisee having stood toward himself these things was praying; O God, I thank You that not I am (like *NK(o)*) the rest of the men — swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers — or even like this tax collector.
12 Ni sarihto thungah buh vai hnetto ka zah, ka tawnh ih hmuen thung boih hoiah hato thungah maeto ka paek, tiah lawk a thuih.
I fast twice in the week, I tithe all things as much as I gain.
13 Toe tamut cong kami loe kangthla ah angdoet moe, van bangah doeh khen ngam ai, angmah ih saoek to atumh moe, Angraeng, kami zae kai nuiah palungnathaih tawn raeh, tiah lawk a thuih.
(and *ko*) (but *no*) the tax collector afar off having stood not was willing not even the eyes to lift up to heaven but was striking (into *k*) the breast (of him *NK(o)*) saying: O God, do be merciful to me to the sinner!
14 Kang thuih o, Kalah kami pongah loe hae tamut cong kami mah ni toenghaih to hnuk, to pacoengah angmah im ah amlaem: mi kawbaktih doeh angmah hoi angmah amkoeh kami loe krah tathuk tih; toe mi tlim ah khosah kami loe pakoeh ah om tih, tiah a naa.
I say to you; went down this one justified to the house of him (rather than *k*) (compared with *n(o)*) (that [one]. *N(k)O*) For everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, the [one] however humbling himself will be exalted.
15 Jesu suisak hanah nawktanawk anih khaeah angzoh o haih: toe a hnukbang kaminawk mah hnuk o naah, nihcae to zoeh o.
They were bringing then to Him also the infants that them He may touch; having seen however the disciples (were rebuking *N(k)O*) them.
16 Toe Jesu mah nawktanawk to angmah khaeah kawk moe, Nawktanawk to kai khaeah angzo o sak ah, haek o hmah: Sithaw mah siangpahrang ah uk ih prae loe to baktih kami han ih ni oh.
But Jesus (called *N(k)O*) them (speaking; *N(k)O*) do permit the little children to come to Me and not do forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Loktang kang thuih o, Mi kawbaktih doeh Sithaw prae to nawkta ta baktiah talawk ai kami loe a thungah akun thai mak ai, tiah a naa.
Amen I say to you; who[ever] (maybe *N(k)O*) not shall receive the kingdom of God as a child, certainly not shall enter into it.
18 Ukkung maeto mah, Kahoih Patukkung, dungzan hinghaih qawktoep hanah timaw ka sak han? tiah dueng. (aiōnios g166)
And asked a certain Him ruler saying; Teacher good, what having done life eternal will I inherit? (aiōnios g166)
19 Jesu mah anih khaeah, Tipongah Kahoih, tiah nang kawk loe? Sithaw, Maeto khue ai ah loe, mi doeh hoih ai.
Said then to him Jesus; Why Me you call good? No [one is] good only except one God.
20 Zu sava laep ah zaehaih sah hmah, Kami hum hmah, Paqu hmah, Hnukung amsawn ah om hmah, Nam no hoi nam pa saiqat ah, tiah kaom kaalok to na panoek to loe, tiah a naa.
The commandments You know: Not shall you commit adultery, not shall you murder, not shall you steal, not shall you bear false witness, do honor the father of you and the mother (of you. *k*)
21 Anih mah, Hae hmuennawk loe nawkta nathuem hoiah ni ka pazui boih boeh, tiah a naa.
And he said; These all (I kept *N(k)O*) from [the] youth (of mine. *ko*)
22 To lok to Jesu mah thaih naah, anih mah to kami khaeah, Maeto na ngai vop: na tawnh ih hmuennawk to zawh boih ah loe, kamtang kaminawk hanah paek ah, to tiah nahaeloe van prae ah tangqum na tawn tih: to pacoengah angzo ah loe, ka hnukah bangah, tiah a naa.
Having heard then (these things *k*) Jesus said to him; Yet one thing to you is lacking: All as much as you have do sell and do distribute to [the] poor, and you will have treasure in (the *no*) (heavens; *N(k)O*) and come, do follow Me.
23 Anih loe angraeng parai pongah, to lok to a thaih naah, paroeai palungset.
And having heard these things very sorrowful (he became; *N(k)O*) he was for rich extremely.
24 Anih palungset parai, tiah Jesu mah panoek naah, Angraeng kaminawk Sithaw mah siangpahrang ah uk ih prae thungah akun han kawkruk maw rai!
Having seen then him Jesus sorrowful became saying; How difficult [for] those riches having [when] into the kingdom of God (they enter. *N(k)O*)
25 Angraeng kami van ah akun pongah loe, kaengkuu hrang phungvang khaw thungah akun han zoi kue, tiah a naa.
Easier for it is a camel through (an eye of a needle *N(k)O*) to go than a rich man into the kingdom of God to enter.
26 To lok thaih kaminawk mah, To tih nahaeloe mi maw pahlong ah om thai tih? tiah thuih o.
Said then those having heard; Then who is able to be saved?
27 Anih mah, Kami han angcoeng thai ai hmuen to Sithaw hoiah loe angcoeng thaih, tiah a naa.
But He said; The [things] impossible with men possible with God are.
28 Piter mah anih khaeah, Khenah, Kaicae loe hmuennawk ka caeh o taak boih moe, na hnukah ka bang o, tiah a naa.
Said then Peter; Behold we ourselves (having abandoned *N(k)O*) (*no*) ([our] own [things] *N(k)O*) (and *k*) followed You.
29 Jesu mah nihcae khaeah, Loktang kang thuih o, Mi kawbaktih doeh Sithaw mah siangpahrang ah uk ih prae hanah imlawk maw, to tih ai boeh loe amno ampa maw, to tih ai boeh loe nawkamya maw, to tih ai boeh loe a zu maw, to tih ai boeh loe a caanawk maw caehtaak kami loe,
And He said to them; Amen I say to you that no [one] there is who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,
30 vaihi dung roe ah paroeai hmuennawk to hnu ai ah om mak ai, angzo han koi adung ah doeh dungzan hinghaih to hnu tih, tiah a naa. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
who (certainly *N(k)O*) nothing (may receive back *NK(o)*) manifold more in time this — and in the age which is coming life eternal. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Anih loe kami hatlai hnettonawk to angma khaeah hoih moe, nihcae khaeah, Khenah, Tahmaanawk mah tarik ih kami Capa kawng to akoep boih thai han ih ni, Jerusalem ah a caeh o.
Having taken aside then the Twelve He said to them; Behold we go up to (Jerusalem, *N(k)O*) and will be accomplished all things which written through the prophets about the Son of Man;
32 Anih to Gentelnawk khaeah paek o tih, pahnui o thuih tih, pacaekthlaek o ueloe, tamtui hoiah pathoih o tih:
He will be betrayed for to the Gentiles and will be mocked and will be insulted and will be spit upon,
33 nihcae mah anih to bop o ueloe, hum o tih: toe anih loe ni thumto naah angthawk let tih, tiah a naa.
And having flogged [Him] they will kill Him, and on the day third He will rise again.
34 Nihcae mah hae loknawk hae thaih o kop ai: hae thuihaih lok loe nihcae han lok tamqu ah oh pongah, tih lok maw a thuih, tito nihcae mah panoek o ai.
And they themselves no [thing] of these things understood, and was declaration this hidden from them, and neither they were knowing the [things] being spoken.
35 Jeriko vangpui a phak tom naah, mikmaeng maeto loe lam taengah anghnut moe, ban patueng:
It came to pass then in the drawing near by Him to Jericho a blind [man] certain was sitting beside the road (begging. *N(k)O*)
36 paroeai kaminawk lamcaehhaih atuen to anih mah thaih naah, tih tuen maw tiah minawk khaeah a dueng.
Having heard now a crowd passing along he was asking what (maybe *o*) would be this.
37 Kaminawk mah anih khaeah, Nazareth Jesu angzoh, tiah thuih pae o.
They told then to him that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.
38 Anih mah, nang David Capa, Jesu, ka nuiah palungnathaih tawn raeh, tiah a naa.
And he called out saying; Jesus Son of David, do have mercy on me.
39 Jesu hmaa ah caeh kaminawk mah anih khaeah, Om duem ah, tiah a naa o: toe anih mah, nang David capa, ka nuiah palungnathaih tawn raeh, tiah a hang aep.
And those going before were rebuking him that (he may be silent. *N(k)O*) He himself however much more was crying out; Son of David, do have mercy on me.
40 Jesu loe angdoet moe, to kami to anih khaeah hoih hanah lok a paek: to kami Jesu khae phak naah loe, Jesu mah anih khaeah,
Having stopped then Jesus commanded him to be brought to Him. When was approaching then he He asked him;
41 nang hanah timaw saksak na koeh? tiah a dueng. Anih mah, Angraeng, mik amtueng han ka koeh, tiah a naa.
(saying *ko*) What to you desire you I may do? And he said; Lord, that I may receive sight.
42 Jesu mah anih khaeah, Na mik amtueng lai ah, na tanghaih mah ang hoihsak boeh, tiah a naa.
And Jesus said to him; do receive sight: The faith of you has healed you.
43 To naah a mik to amtueng pae roep, to pacoengah Jesu hnukah bang moe, Sithaw to pakoeh: kaminawk boih mah, to hmuen to hnuk o naah, Sithaw to saphaw o.
And immediately he received sight and was following Him glorifying God. And all the people having seen [it] gave praise to God.
