< Luka 11 >

1 Anih loe ahmuen maeto ah caeh moe, lawkthuih pacoengah, a hnukbang maeto mah anih khaeah, Angraeng, Johan mah a hnukbang kaminawk hanah lawkthuih patuk baktih toengah, kaicae han doeh lawkthuihaih na patuk ah, tiah a naa.
And as He was praying in a certain retired place, as soon as He had done, one of his disciples said to Him, Lord, teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples.
And He said unto them, when ye pray, say, "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done as in heaven so also upon earth;
3 Ni thokkruek kaicae han caaknaek na paek ah.
give us day by day our daily bread; and forgive us our sins,
4 Kaicae khae laiba tawn kaminawk ka tahmen o baktih toengah, ka sak o ih zaehaihnawk to tahmen ah. Pacuekhaih thungah na hoi hmah; kami zae ban thung hoi na loisak ah:
for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
5 Anih mah nihcae khaeah, Nangcae thung ih kami maeto loe ampui maeto tawnh, anih loe ampui khaeah qum taning ah caeh moe, Ampui takaw kae thumto na coi raeh;
And He said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine on his journey is come to me,
6 kholong caeh kam pui kai khaeah angzoh, toe a hmaa ah patoem han tidoeh ka tawn ai, tiah a naa.
and I have nothing to set before him:
7 To naah imthung ah kaom anih mah, Raihaih na paek hmah, thok ka takraeng boeh, vaihi ka caanawk hoi nawnto ka iih o boeh; hmuen paek han ih kang thawk thai mak ai, tiah a naa.
and he from within shall answer and say, Do not be troublesome; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed, I cannot rise to give thee.
8 Kang thuih o, Anih loe angmah ih ampui ah oh pongah takaw paek han ih angthawk mak ai, a hnik pae khruek pongah ni anih mah angthawk ueloe, a koeh zetto paek tih.
I tell you, tho' he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend: yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he wants.
9 To pongah kang thuih o, Hniah, paek tih; pakrong ah, hnu tih; takhuek ah, na paong pae tih.
And so I tell you, Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.
10 Hni kami loe hak; pakrong kami loe hnuk; takhuek kami loe paong pae tih.
For every one that asketh receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
11 Nangcae thungah ampa ah kaom kami, Na capa mah takaw na hni nahaeloe, anih han thlung na paek tih maw? To tih ai boeh loe tanga na hni nahaeloe, anih han pahui na paek tih maw?
If a son ask bread of any father among you, will he give him a stone? and if he ask for a fish, will he instead of a fish give him a serpent? or if he ask for an egg,
12 To tih ai boeh loe aadui na hni nahaeloe, anih han sataai na paek tih maw?
will he give him a scorpion?
13 Kasae nangcae mah mataeng doeh, na caanawk han kahoih hmuen paek na panoek o nahaeloe, van ah kaom nam pa mah cae loe hni kaminawk khaeah Kacai Muithla nazetto maw paek aep tih? tiah a naa.
If ye then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the holy Spirit to them that ask Him?
14 Lokaa kami takoh thung ih taqawk sae maeto anih mah haek pae. Takoh thung hoi taqawk tacawt pacoengah loe, lokaa to lok apaeh; to pongah kaminawk loe dawnrai o.
And He was casting out a demon, and it was dumb: and when the demon was gone out, the dumb man spake; and the people wondered.
15 Toe thoemto kaminawk mah, Anih loe kalen koek taqawk Beelzebub ih ahmin hoiah ni taqawknawk to haek, tiah thuih o.
But some of them said, He casteth out demons by Beelzebub the prince of demons:
16 Kalah kaminawk mah loe van bang ih angmathaih maeto hnuksak hanah anih to tanoek o.
and others, to try Him, desired of Him a sign from heaven.
17 Anih mah nihcae poekhaih to panoek pae naah, nihcae khaeah, maeto hoi maeto ampraek moe, angtuh nahaeloe, prae to amro tih; imthong doeh maeto hoi maeto ampraek moe, angtuh nahaeloe, amtim tih.
But He who well knew their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself becomes desolate, and a house against a house falleth: if Satan also be divided against himself,
18 Setan doeh maeto hoi maeto ampraek moe, angmah hoi angmah angtuh nahaeloe, kawbangah maw a prae to angdoe thai tih? Toe nangcae mah loe Beelzebub ih ahmin hoiah ni taqawknawk to ka haek, tiah na thuih o.
how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say, that I cast out demons by Beelzebub.
19 Beelzebub ih ahmin hoiah taqawknawk to ka haek nahaeloe, na caanawk mah loe mi ih ahmin hoiah maw taqawknawk to haek o? To pongah nihcae ni nangcae lokcaekkung ah ni om o tih.
And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your own people cast them out? wherefore they shall be your judges.
20 Toe taqawknawk to Sithaw ih banpazung hoiah ka haek nahaeloe, Sithaw mah siangpahrang ah uk ih prae loe nangcae nuiah phak boeh.
But if I cast out demons by the power of God, you may be sure the kingdom of God is come unto you:
21 Thacak kami mah a im to maiphaw hoiah toep naah ni, angmah ih hmuenmaenawk to cuem.
for when a strong man well-armed defends his palace, his substance is secure:
22 Toe anih pong thacak kue kami anih khaeah angzoh moe, anih to pazawk naah loe, anih mah oep ih maiphaw to anih khae hoi lak pae ving moe, anih ih hmuennawk to haeh pae phaeng.
but when a stronger than he cometh upon him and conquers him, he taketh away his armour, wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
23 Kai hoi nawnto om ai kami loe kai ih misa ah oh: kai hoi nawnto amkhueng ai kami loe, ampraek phang.
He, that is not with me, is against me; and he, that gathereth not with me, scattereth.
24 To kami takoh thung hoiah kaciim ai muithla tacawt naah, muithla loe ahmuen kazaek ah caeh moe, anghakhaih ahmuen to pakrong; toe tidoeh hnu ai, to pongah anih mah, Ka caehtaak ih im ah kam laem let han, tiah a thuih.
When an impure spirit is gone out of a man, he wanders through dry desert places, seeking rest: and finding none he saith, I will return into my house, that I came out of;
25 Anih amlaem let naah, kaciim bit ah pahuih moe, taprikcai ih im to a hnuk.
and when he cometh he findeth it swept and set in order.
26 To naah anih mah caeh moe, angmah pong kasae kue muithla sarihto a hoih, a thungah akun o moe, to ah oh o: hnukkhuem ah kaom to kami ih khosakhaih dan loe tangsuek ih pongah doeh nung kue, tiah a naa.
Then he goeth and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and so the last state of that man is worse than the first.
27 Anih mah hae loknawk thuih naah, amkhueng kami thung ih nongpata maeto mah anih khaeah, Nang tapen zok hoi nang tahnu tui panae kami loe tahamhoih, tiah a naa.
As He was speaking these things, a certain woman lifted up her voice from amidst the croud, and said, Happy is the womb that bare thee, and the breasts which thou didst suck!
28 Anih mah, Sithaw lok to thaih moe, sah kaminawk loe to kaminawk pongah tahamhoih o kue, tiah a naa.
but He replied, Yea rather happy are they, that hear the word of God and keep it.
29 Paroeai kaminawk nawnto amkhueng o naah, anih mah, Hae dung ih kaminawk loe kasae kaminawk ah ni oh o: nihcae loe angmathaih maeto pakrong o; tahmaa Jonah angmathaih khue ai ah loe, angmathaih paek mak ai boeh.
And when the multitudes were gathering thick together He began to say, This is a wicked generation: they demand a sign, but no sign shall be given them, except that of the prophet Jonah:
30 Jonah loe Nineveh kaminawk khaeah angmathaih maeto ah oh baktih toengah, kami Capa doeh hae dung kaminawk ih angmathaih ah om tih.
for as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
31 Lokcaek naah aloih bang ih siangpahrang nongpata loe hae dung kaminawk hoi nawnto angdoe ueloe, nihcae to zaehaih net tih: to nongpata loe Solomon palunghahaih lok to tahngaih hanah, kangtaeng koek long ahmuen hoiah angzoh; khenah, Solomon pong kalen kue haeah oh.
The queen of the south shall rise up in the day of judgement against the men of this generation and condemn them: for she came from the remote parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold a greater than Solomon is here.
32 Lokcaek naah Nineveh kaminawk loe hae dung kaminawk hoi nawnto angdoe o ueloe, nihcae to zaehaih net o tih: nihcae loe Jonah mah lokthuih naah dawnpakhuem o; khenah, Jonah pong kalen kue haeah oh.
And the men of Nineveh shall rise up in the judgement against this generation, and condemn it; for they repented upon the preaching of Jonas, and behold a greater than Jonas is here.
33 Mi mah doeh, hmaithawk hmai paang naah, kamtueng ai ahmuen ah suem vai ai, takho hoiah doeh khuk vai ai, imthung ah angzo kaminawk mah aanghaih hnuk o thai hanah, hmai paanghaih ahmuen ah ni a suek o.
But yet no one having lighted a candle putteth it into a secret place, nor under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they who come in may see the light.
34 Mik loe takpum aanghaih ah oh: na mik aang naah ni, na takpum boih to aang; toe na mik aang ai naah, na takpum to ving boih.
The eye is the candle of the body: therefore when thine eye is clear, thy whole body also is light; but when it is bad, thy body also is dark.
35 To pongah na takpum ah kaom hmai to vingsak han ai ah acoe ah.
Take heed therefore least the light which is in thee be darkness.
36 Na takpum to aang boih moe, vinghaih tetta doeh om ai nahaeloe, ka aang hmaithawk hmai mah ang toeh ih baktih toengah, takpum to aang boih tih, tiah a naa.
For if thy whole body be light, having no part dark, it will be (when all enlightened) as when a candle giveth thee light by its brightness.
37 Anih lokthuih pacoengah, Farasi kami maeto mah anih hoi nawnto buhcaak hanah kawk: buhcaak hanah anih loe caeh moe, buhkung ah anghnut.
And as He spake, a certain pharisee asked Him to dine with him: and He went in and sat down at table.
38 Anih loe ban amsae hmaloe ai ah buh a caak, tiah Farasi kami mah hnuk naah dawnrai.
And when the pharisee saw it he wondered that He did not wash first, before dinner.
39 Angraeng mah anih khaeah, Nangcae Farasi kaminawk loe boengloeng hoi sabae to a nui bang kathoeng ah pasaeh o, toe na thung bangah loe amoehhaih hoi sethaih hoiah ni koi.
But the Lord said unto him, ye pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of rapine and wickedness.
40 Nangcae kamthunawk, a nui bang sah Kami mah na ai maw a thung bang doeh sak?
Senseless creatures! Did not He who made the outside, make also that which is within? give alms rather according to your ability:
41 Na tawnh o ih to baktih hmuennawk to kamtang kaminawk hanah paek oh; to tiah nahaeloe khenah, hmuennawk loe nangcae han ciim boih.
and behold all things are clean to you.
42 Farasi kaminawk, khosak na bing o! Cungsim, cungpram hoi congca hmuihoih aannawk hato thungah maeto na paek o, toe toenghaih hoi Sithaw amlunghaih to na caeh o taak ving: kalah hmuennawk sak hanah caehtaak ai ah, hae hmuennawk hae na sak o boih han oh.
But wo unto you pharisees, who tithe even your mint, and rue, and all your herbs, and pass by judgement and the love of God: these ought ye to practise and not to omit the others.
43 Farasi kaminawk, khosak na bing o! Sineko ah anghnuthaih hmuensang to na koeh o moe, hmuenmae zawhhaih ahmuen ah saiqat paekhaih to na koeh o.
Wo unto you pharisees; for ye love the chief seat in synagogues, and salutations in public places.
44 Angsah thaih, Ca tarik kaminawk hoi Farasi kaminawk, khosak na bing o! Nangcae loe kamtueng ai, kaminawk mah a nuiah cawh o ih taprong hoiah ni nang hmong o, tiah a naa.
Wo unto you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites; for ye are like graves that do not appear, and those that walk over them are not aware of them.
45 To naah daan kop kami maeto mah anih khaeah, Patukkung, hae hmuennawk hoiah kaicae kasae nang thuih, tiah a naa.
And one of the doctors of the law answered and said unto Him, Master, in saying these things thou reproachest us also.
46 Jesu mah, Daan kop kaminawk, Nangcae doeh khosak na bing o! Pazawk ai ih hmuenzit to kaminawk han na phawh o sak nganga, nangmacae mah loe banpazung maeto hoiah mataeng doeh na sui o ai.
And He said, Wo unto you also, ye interpreters of the law, for ye load men with insupportable burthens, and ye yourselves touch not the burthens with one of your fingers.
47 Khosak na bing o! Nam panawk mah tahmaanawk to hum o pongah, tahmaanawk ih taprong to na sak pae o.
Wo unto you; who build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
48 Tangtang ni, nangcae loe nam panawk mah sak o ih hmuennawk hnukung ah na oh o: nam panawk mah tahmaanawk hum o pongah ni, nihcae ih taprong to na sak pae o.
Thus ye testify that ye approve of the deeds of your fathers; for they put them to death, and ye build their sepulchres.
49 To pongah Sithaw palunghahaih mah loe, Tahmaa hoi patoeh ih kaminawk to nihcae khaeah ka patoeh han, toe nihcae thung ih thoemto kaminawk to nihcae mah hum o tih, thoemto kaminawk loe pacaekthlaek o tih, tiah thuih, tiah a naa.
And therefore the wisdom of God hath said, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute:
50 Long sak tangsuek na hoiah kaom, tahmaanawk boih athii palonghaih pongah lokcaekhaih loe hae dung kaminawk nuiah om tih;
that the blood of all the prophets which has been shed from the foundation of the world may be required of this generation, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zachariah,
51 loktang kang thuih o, Tempul hoi hmaicam salakah hum o ih, Abel hoi kamtong Zekariah khoek to athii palonghaih pongah kaom lokcaekhaih loe, hae dung kaminawk nuiah om tih.
who perished between the altar and the temple. Verily I tell you, it shall be required of this generation.
52 Daan kop kaminawk, Khosak na bing o! Panoekhaih cabi to na lak o ving boeh: nangmacae doeh a thungah na kun o ai, a thungah akun kaminawk doeh na pakaa o, tiah a naa.
Wo unto you interpreters of the law; for ye have taken away the key of knowledge, ye entered not in yourselves, and those that were entering in, ye hindered.
53 Hae hmuennawk nihcae khaeah a thuih pae pacoengah, anih palungphuisak moe, paroeai kalah loknawk thuisak hanah, ca tarik kaminawk hoi Farisinawk mah anih to lokdueng o:
As He was saying these things unto them the scribes and pharisees began vehemently to attack Him, and urge Him to speak of many things,
54 A thuih ih lok pongah anih zae net o thai hanah, nihcae mah anih to zing o.
laying snares for Him, and endeavouring to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse Him.
