< Lokcaekkung 10 >
1 Abimelek pacoengah Israel pahlong hanah, Issakar acaeng, Dodo capa Puah, Puah capa, Tola to oh; anih loe Ephraim mae Shamir vangpui ah oh.
And there arose, after Abimelech, to save Israel—Tola son of Puah son of Dodo, a man of Issachar, —and, he, used to sit in Shamir, in the hill country of Ephraim;
2 Anih mah Israel kaminawk to saning pumphae thumto thung lokcaek; anih loe duek moe, Shamir vangpui ah aphum o.
and he judged Israel, twenty-three years, —and died, and was buried in Shamir.
3 Anih pacoengah Gilead prae ah kaom Jair to oh; anih mah Israel kaminawk to saning pumphae hnetto thung uk.
And there arose, after him, Jair the Gileadite, —and judged Israel twenty-two years.
4 Anih loe capa quithumto tawnh, nihcae loe laa hrang quithumto angthueng o moe, Gilead prae ih avang quithumtonawk to a uk o; to vangpuinawk to vaihni ni khoek to Havoth Jair, tiah kawk o.
Now he had thirty sons, that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had, thirty cities, —they are called Havvoth-jair, until this day, which are in the land of Gilead.
5 Jair loe duek moe, Kamon vangpui ah aphum o.
And Jair died, and was buried in Kamon.
6 To pacoengah Israel kaminawk loe Angraeng mikhnukah kasae hmuen to sak o let bae; Baalnawk hoi Ashtarothnawk, Syria sithawnawk, Sidon sithawnawk, Moab sithawnawk, Ammon sithawnawk, Philistin kaminawk ih sithawnawk ih tok to a sak pae o; Angraeng to pahnawt o moe, Anih ih tok to sah pae o ai.
And the sons of Israel again did the thing that was wicked in the sight of Yahweh, and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the sons of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, —and forsook Yahweh, and served him not.
7 To pongah Angraeng loe Israel nuiah palungphui moe, nihcae to Philistin kaminawk hoi Ammon kaminawk ban ah zawh.
So the anger of Yahweh kindled upon Israel, —and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the sons of Ammon;
8 Nihcae mah Jordan vapui yaeh Gilead prae Ammon kaminawk ohhaih ahmuen ah kaom Israel kaminawk to tuk o moe, saning hatlai tazetto thung pacaekthlaek o.
and they enfeebled and oppressed the sons of Israel in that year, —eighteen years, did they this unto all the sons of Israel who were beyond the Jordan, in the land of the Amorites, that was in Gilead.
9 Toe Ammon kaminawk loe Jordan vapui to angkaat o moe, Judah, Benjamin hoi Ephraim imthung takoh to tuk o pongah, Israel kaminawk loe paroeai patangkhang o.
And the sons of Ammon crossed the Jordan, to fight, even against Judah and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, —so that Israel was sore distressed.
10 To naah Israel kaminawk mah Angraeng khaeah, Na hmaa ah ka zae o boeh, Sithaw to ka pahnawt o moe, Baalnawk ih tok to ka sak o moeng boeh, tiah hang o.
Then did the sons of Israel make outcry unto Yahweh, saying, —We have sinned against thee, because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.
11 Angraeng mah, Israel kaminawk khaeah, Izip kaminawk, Amor kaminawk, Ammon kaminawk, Philistin kaminawk ban hoiah kang pahlong o na ai maw?
Then said Yahweh unto the sons of Israel, —Was it not, from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, [that I saved you]?
12 Sidon kaminawk, Amalek kaminawk hoi Maon kaminawk mah ang pacaekthlaek o pongah kai khaeah tahmenhaih nang hnik o naah doeh, nihcae ban thung hoiah kang pahlong o na ai maw?
The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, oppressed you, —and ye made outcry unto me, and I saved you out of their hand.
13 Toe kai to nang pahnawt o moe, kalah sithawnawk to na bok o, to pongah kang pahlong o mak ai boeh.
Yet have, ye, forsaken me, and served other gods, —therefore will I not again save you.
14 Caeh oh loe, na qoih o ih sithawnawk khaeah hang o khae; raihaih na tongh o naah, nihcae mah na pahlong o nasoe, tiah a naa.
Go and make outcry unto the gods whom ye have chosen, —they, must save you, in the time of your tribulation.
15 Toe Israel kaminawk mah Angraeng khaeah, Ka zae o boeh; sak han hoih, tiah na poek ih baktih toengah sah halat ah, toe vaihni khue hae loe na pahlong raeh, tiah a naa o.
And the sons of Israel said unto Yahweh—We have sinned, do, thou, with us, according to all that is fitting in thine eyes, —only rescue us, we beseech thee this day.
16 To nathuem hoi kamtong angmacae thungah kaom kalah kaminawk ih sithawnawk to vah o moe, Angraeng ih tok to a sak o; Israel kaminawk patangkhanghaih to Anih mah palungnat haih.
And they put away the gods of the stranger out of their midst, and served Yahweh, —and his soul was impatient of the misery of Israel.
17 Ammon kaminawk loe nawnto amkhueng o moe, Gilead prae ah atai o; Israel kaminawk doeh nawnto amkhueng o moe, Mizpah vangpui ah atai o toeng.
Now the sons of Ammon were called out, and they encamped in Gilead, —and the sons of Israel assembled themselves together, and encamped in Mizpah.
18 Gilead ah kaom kaminawk mah, Mi kawbaktih doeh Ammon kaminawk tuh hmaloe kami loe, Gilead prae thungah kaom kaminawk boih ukkung ah om nasoe, tiah a thuih o.
Then said the people, the princes of Gilead, one to another, Who is the man that will begin to fight against the sons of Ammon? he shall become head to all the inhabitants of Gilead.
