< Joshua 3 >

1 Joshua loe khawnbang khawnthaw ah angthawk, Israel kaminawk hoi nawnto Shittim vangpui hoi angpuen o moe, Jordan vapui ah a caeh o; vapui angkat o ai naah anih taengah amkhueng o.
And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel; and they lodged there before they passed over.
2 Ni thumto oh o pacoengah zaehoikungnawk mah, misatuh kaminawk ataihaih ahmuen ah caeh o moe,
And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the midst of the camp;
3 kaminawk khaeah, Qaima toksah Levinawk mah aput o ih, na Angraeng Sithaw ih thingkhong to na hnuk o naah, na ohhaih ahmuen to pahoe oh loe, a hnukah bang oh, tiah lokthuih pae o.
and they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.
4 Hae loklam hae na pazui o vai ai pongah, na caeh o hanih loklam na panoek o thai hanah, lokkamhaih thingkhong kanghnai ah caeh o hmah, lokkamhaih thingkhong hoi nangcae salak dong sang hnetto angthla o sak ah, tiah a thuih pae o.
Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go; for ye have not passed this way heretofore.
5 Joshua mah kaminawk khaeah, Khawnbangah Angraeng mah nangcae khaeah dawnrai hmuen sak han oh pongah, amprikcai oh, tiah a naa.
And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.
6 Joshua mah qaimanawk khaeah, Lokkamhaih thingkhong to apu oh loe, kaminawk hmaa ah caeh oh, tiah a naa. To pongah nihcae mah lokkamhaih thingkhong to aput o moe, kaminawk hmaa ah caeh o.
And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.
7 To naah Angraeng mah Joshua khaeah, Vaihniah Israel kaminawk mikhnuk ah nang to kang pakoeh han; to tiah ni Mosi khaeah ka oh baktih toengah, nang khaeah doeh ka oh, tiah nihcae mah panoek o tih.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.
8 Lokkamhaih thingkhong apu qaimanawk khaeah, Jordan vapui taeng na phak o naah, Jordan vapui ah angdoe oh, tiah a naa.
And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the waters of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan.
9 Joshua mah Israel kaminawk khaeah, Haeah angzo oh loe, na Angraeng Sithaw ih loknawk to tahngai oh.
And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God.
10 Joshua mah, Kahing Sithaw loe nangcae salakah oh, kawbangmaw nangcae hmaa hoiah Anih mah Kanaan kaminawk, Hit kaminawk, Hiv kaminawk, Periz kaminawk, Girgash kaminawk, Amor kaminawk hoi Jebus kaminawk to haek, tito na panoek o tih.
And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Hivite, and the Perizzite, and the Girgashite, and the Amorite, and the Jebusite.
11 Khenah, long boih ukkung Angraeng lokkamhaih thingkhong loe, nangcae hmaa ah Jordan vapui ah caeh boeh.
Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.
12 To pongah vaihi acaeng maeto thung hoiah kami maeto, Israel acaeng hatlai hnetto thung hoiah kami hatlai hnetto qoi oh.
Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, for every tribe a man.
13 Long nui boih ukkung Angraeng, Angraeng lokkamhaih thingkhong apu qaimanawk ih khok mah Jordan vapui to cawh o naah, aluek bang hoiah kalong tathuk Jordan vapui to apet tih, tui to maeto ah angcu ueloe, anghak sut tih, tiah a naa.
And it shall come to pass, when the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off, even the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand in one heap.
14 Kaminawk loe Jordan vapui angkat hanah, a oh o haih ahmuen hoiah angthawk o naah, qaimanawk mah lokkamhaih thingkhong to aput o moe, kaminawk hmaa ah caeh o.
And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, the priests that bare the ark of the covenant being before the people;
15 Jordan vapui loe cang aah tue phak kruek tui to len moe, tui taeng boih tui hoiah koi; toe Angraeng lokkamhaih thingkhong apu qaimanawk Jordan vapui to phak o moe, khok hoiah tui a cawh o naah,
and when they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brink of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all its banks all the time of harvest, )
16 aluek bang hoiah kalong tathuk tui to anghak sut, angthla parai Zarethan vangpui taengah kaom, Adam vangpui khoek to tui mah uengh; paloi tuipui, tiah kawk ih azawn ah kaom tuipui ah kalong tathuk tui doeh anghak sut, to pongah kaminawk loe Jeriko vangpui taengah tui angkat o.
that the waters which came down from above stood, and rose up in one heap, a great way off, at Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan: and those that went down toward the sea of the Arabah, even the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
17 Angraeng lokkamhaih thingkhong apu qaimanawk loe, kaminawk Jordan vapui yaeh pha o ai karoek to, Jordan vapui um li ah long kaphui nuiah angdoet o, Israel kaminawk loe long kaphui nuiah caeh o.
And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all Israel passed over on dry ground, until all the nation were passed clean over Jordan.
