The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.
2 Toe Israel acaengnawk thungah, qawk hak ai acaeng sarihto oh o vop.
Seven tribes remained amongst the children of Israel, which had not yet divided their inheritance.
3 Joshua mah Israel kaminawk khaeah, Nam panawk ih Angraeng Sithaw mah nangcae khae paek ih prae to toep hanah nazetto maw na zing o han vop?
Joshua said to the children of Israel, “How long will you neglect to go in to possess the land, which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?
4 Acaeng maeto thung hoi kami thumto qoi oh; prae khet hanah nihcae to ka patoeh han, nihcae mah qawktoep koi ahmuen khet hanah angthawk o ueloe, caeh o tih; a khet o ih prae kawng thuih hanah kai khaeah amlaem o let tih.
Appoint for yourselves three men from each tribe. I will send them, and they shall arise, walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; then they shall come to me.
5 Prae to sarihto ah tapraek oh; Judah kaminawk loe aloih bangah khosah o ueloe, Joseph ih kaminawk loe aluek bang ah khosah o tih.
They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall live in his borders on the south, and the house of Joseph shall live in their borders on the north.
6 Prae to sarihto tapraek pacoengah, prae amtuenghaih dan to kai khaeah na sin oh; to tiah aicae Angraeng Sithaw hmaa ah nangcae han taham khethaih phoisa ka vah pae han.
You shall survey the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.
7 Toe Levi kaminawk loe nangcae hoi nawnto qawktoep han prae to hak o mak ai; Angraeng ih qaima toksakhaih loe nihcae ih qawk ah om tih; Gad, Reuben hoi ahap Manasseh acaengnawk loe, Angraeng ih tamna Mosi mah paek ih baktih toengah, Jordan ni angyae bang ih prae to toep o boeh.
However, the Levites have no portion amongst you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance east of the Jordan, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.”
8 To kaminawk prae khet han caeh o naah, Joshua mah nihcae khaeah, Caeh oh loe, na khet o ih prae to ca ah tarik o pacoengah, kai khae amlaem o let ah; Angraeng hmaa ah Shiloh ah taham khethaih phoisa kang vah pae o han, tiah a naa.
The men arose and went. Joshua commanded those who went to survey the land, saying, “Go walk through the land, survey it, and come again to me. I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh.”
9 To pongah kaminawk loe prae boih ah caeh o moe, cabu thungah vangpui sarihto ahmuen to tarik o pacoengah, Joshua misatuh kaminawk ohhaih Shiloh ah amlaem o let.
The men went and passed through the land, and surveyed it by cities into seven portions in a book. They came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.
10 Joshua mah Angraeng hmaa ah nihcae han taham khethaih phoisa vah pae pacoengah, Israel kaminawk boih hanah qawk to pazet pae.
Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD. There Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.
11 Benjamin acaeng boih hanah taham khethaih phoisa vah pae naah, nihcae ih taham loe Judah acaeng hoi Joseph acaeng salakah krak.
The lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families. The border of their lot went out between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
12 Nihcae ih ramri loe aluek bangah Jordan vapui hoi amtong moe, Jeriko vangpui aluek bang to phak, niduem bang ih mae ah caeh tahang poe pacoengah, Beth-Aven praezaek to phak.
Their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan. The border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward. It ended at the wilderness of Beth Aven.
13 To ahmuen hoi Luz, tiah kawk ih Bethel taengah caeh tathuk; aloih bang kaom, Beth-Horon vangpui ah anghum tathuk moe, Ataroth-Addar vangpui to phak.
The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (also called Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Beth Horon the lower.
14 Aloih bang kaom Beth-Horon vangpui maesom hmaa ah kaom, aloih bang ih tuipui boenghaih khoek to takui moe, Judah kaminawk ih vangpui maeto ah kaom Kirjath-Baal, tiah kawk ih Kirjath-Jearim ah phak; hae loe niduem bangah pazet ih qawk ah oh.
The border extended, and turned around on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth Horon southward; and ended at Kiriath Baal (also called Kiriath Jearim), a city of the children of Judah. This was the west quarter.
15 Aloih bangah pazet ih prae loe, niduem bangah kaom Kirjath-Jearim vangpui boenghaih ahmuen hoi niduem bangah kaom Naphoth tuipuek ohhaih ahmuen khoek to phak.
The south quarter was from the farthest part of Kiriath Jearim. The border went out westward, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.
16 Hinnom capa ih azawn hmaa, kalen parai kami ih azawn aluek bangah kaom, mae tlim ah caeh poe moe, Jebus vangpui aloih bangah kaom, Hinnom azawn ah caeh pacoengah, En-Rogel avang ah anghum tathuk poe.
The border went down to the farthest part of the mountain that lies before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the valley of Rephaim northward. It went down to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En Rogel.
17 To ahmuen hoi En-Shemesh avang, Adummim mae dawh tahanghaih bangah kaom, Geliloth avang hoi Reuben capa Bohan ih thlung ohhaih ahmuen ah caeh tathuk.
It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is opposite the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
18 To ahmuen hoi Arabah azawn aluek bangah caeh moe, Arabah vangpui ah caeh tathuk.
It passed along to the side opposite the Arabah northward, and went down to the Arabah.
19 To ahmuen hoi Beth-Hoglah vangpui aluek bangah caeh moe, aluek bang ih paloi tuipui angkoihaih phak pacoengah, Jordan vapui taeng aloih bangah boeng; hae loe aloih bangah pazet ih ramri ah oh.
The border passed along to the side of Beth Hoglah northward; and the border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This was the south border.
20 Ni angyae bangah loe Jordan vapui to ramri ah oh. Hae loe Benjamin acaeng maeto mah qawktoep ih rami ah oh.
The Jordan was its border on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the borders around it, according to their families.
21 Benjamin acaeng maeto boih mah qawk ah toep ih vangpuinawk loe, Jeriko, Beth-Hoglah, Keziz azawn,
Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz,
22 Beth-Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
24 Kephar-Haammonai, Ophni hoi Geba vangpui hoi vangtanawk sangqum boih ah hatlai hnetto oh.
Chephar Ammoni, Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages.
25 Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
26 Mizpah, Khephirah, Mozah,
Mizpeh, Chephirah, Mozah,
27 Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
28 Zelah, Eleph, Jerusalem, tiah kawk ih Jebus kaminawk ih vangpui, Gibeath hoi Kirjath vangpui hoi vangtanawk sangqum boih ah hatlai palito oh. Hae loe Benjamin acaeng maeto boih mah toep ih qawk ah oh.
Zelah, Eleph, the Jebusite (also called Jerusalem), Gibeath, and Kiriath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
