1 Judah acaengnawk loe taham khethaih phoisa to vah o, acaeng maeto boih mah qawktoek han ih ahmuen amae loe, aloih bang Edom ramri khoek to, to ahmuen hoi aloih bang kangtaeng koek Zin praezaek khoek to kawk.
And the lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families, is unto the border of Edom; the wilderness of Zin southward, at the extremity of the south;
2 Aloih bang ramri loe paloi tuipui taeng hoi amtong moe, aloih bang prae boenghaih khoek to,
and to them the south border is at the extremity of the salt sea, from the bay which is looking southward;
3 aloih bangah caeh tathuk moe, Maaleh-Akrabbim poeng pacoeng, Zin avang karoek to; to ahmuen hoi Kadesh-Barnea aloih bang khoek to; to ahmuen hoi Hezron avang to poeng moe, Addar avang bang caeh tahang poe pacoengah, Karkaa avang bangah takui let;
and it hath gone out unto the south to Maaleh-Akrabbim, and passed over to Zin, and gone up on the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and passed over [to] Hezron, and gone up to Adar, and turned round to Karkaa,
4 to pacoeng hoi Azmon avang bangah caeh poe moe, Izip prae ih vapui phak pacoengah, tuipui ah boeng; hae loe nangcae han aloih bang ih ramri ah oh.
and passed over [to] Azmon, and gone out [at] the brook of Egypt, and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea; this is to you the south border.
5 Ni angyae bang ramri loe paloi tuipui hoi kamtong, Jordan vapui boeng khoek to kawk. Nihcae hanah aluek bang ih ramri loe, Jordan vapui caeh tathuk haih paloi tuipui angkoihaih ahmuen hoiah amtong moe,
And the east border [is] the salt sea, unto the extremity of the Jordan, and the border at the north quarter [is] from the bay of the sea, at the extremity of the Jordan;
6 Beth-Hoglah avang ah caeh tahang, Beth-Arabah avang aluek bang khoek to caeh tahang poe pacoengah, Reuben capa Bohan ih thlung khoek to phak.
and the border hath gone up [to] Beth-Hoglah, and passed over on the north of Beth-Arabah, and the border hath gone up [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben:
7 To ahmuen hoi Akhor azawn aluek bangah caeh tahang moe, Debir vangpui to phak, Adummin maesom caeh tahanghaih aloih bangah kaom, Gilgal vangpui aluek bang khoek to phak; to ahmuen hoi caeh poe moe, En-Shemesh tui kangbuem ohhaih ahmuen hoi En-Gogel avang khoek to phak.
and the border hath gone up towards Debir from the valley of Achor, and northward looking unto Gilgal, which [is] over-against the ascent of Adummim, which [is] on the south of the brook, and the border hath passed over unto the waters of En-Shemesh, and its outgoings have been unto En-Rogel;
8 To ahmuen hoi caeh tahang moe, Ben-Hinnom capa ih azawn taeng ih Jebus kaminawk ohhaih ahmuen, Jerusalem vangpui khoek to phak; Hinnom azawn niduem bang kalen parai kaminawk ih azawn aluek bangah kaom, mae ranuih khoek to caeh tahang.
and the border hath gone up the valley of the son of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite on the south (it [is] Jerusalem), and the border hath gone up unto the top of the hill-country which [is] on the front of the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] in the extremity of the valley of the Rephaim northward;
9 Ramri loe to maesom nui hoiah anghum tathuk, Nephtoah tuipuek ohhaih ahmuen ah caeh poe moe, Ephron mae ih vangpuinawk to phak; to ahmuen hoiah Baalah vangpui ah caeh tathuk poe moe, Kiriath-Jearim vangpui to phak;
and the border hath been marked out, from the top of the hill-country unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and hath gone out unto the cities of mount Ephron, and the border hath been marked out [to] Baalah, (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim);
10 Baalah vangpui niduem bangah caeh moe, Seir maeto phak; Khesalon tiah kawk ih, Jearim mae taengah caeh poe moe, Beth-Shemesh vangpui hoi Timnah vangpui to poeng;
and the border hath gone round from Baalah westward, unto mount Seir, and passed over unto the side of mount Jearim (it [is] Chesalon), on the north, and gone down [to] Beth-Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah;
11 ramri loe aluek bangah kaom Ekron vangpui taengah caeh moe, Shikron avang ah caeh tathuk; Baalah mae poeng pacoengah, Jabneel avang to phak moe, tuipui ah boeng.
and the border hath gone out unto the side of Ekron northward, and the border hath been marked out [to] Shicron, and hath passed over to mount Baalah, and gone out [to] Jabneel; and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea.
12 Niduem bang ih ramri loe kalen parai tuipui hoi a taeng ih ahmuennawk to athum boih. Hae ahmuennawk loe Judah acaengnawk ih imthung takoh boih mah qawk ah toep ih ramri ah oh.
And the west border [is] to the great sea, and [its] border; this [is] the border of the sons of Judah round about for their families.
13 Angraeng mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, Joshua mah, Jephunneh capa Kaleb hanah, Judah acaegnnawk salakah, Anak ampa Arba ih vangpui, Hebron to qawk ah paek.
And to Caleb son of Jephunneh hath he given a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, according to the command of Jehovah to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba, father of Anak — it [is] Hebron.
14 Kaleb mah Anak capa thumtonawk, Sheshai, Ahiman hoi Talmai cae to Hebron vangpui hoiah haek boih.
And Caleb is dispossessing thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, children of Anak,
15 To ahmuen hoi Debir vangpui kaminawk ohhaih ahmuen ah caeh tahang, to vangpui loe canghniah Kiriath-Sepher tiah kawk o.
and he goeth up thence unto the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir formerly is Kirjath-Sepher.
16 Kaleb mah, Mi kawbaktih doeh Kiriath-Sepher vangpui to tuh moe, pazawk kami loe, ka canu Aksah ka zusak han, tiah thuih.
And Caleb saith, 'He who smiteth Kirjath-Sephar, and hath captured it — I have given to him Achsah my daughter for a wife.'
17 To naah Kaleb amnawk, Kenaz capa Othniel mah tuk moe, pazawk; to pongah Kaleb mah a canu Aksah to anih han zu ah paek.
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, doth capture it, and he giveth to him Achsah his daughter for a wife.
18 Nito naah a canu loe a sava Othniel khaeah caeh moe, ampa khaeah prae maeto hni ah, tiah a thuih pae; anih to hrang nui hoi anghum tathuk naah, Kaleb mah, Timaw kang sak pae han? tiah a naa.
And it cometh to pass, in her coming in, that she persuadeth him to ask from her father a field, and she lighteth from off the ass, and Caleb saith to her, 'What — to thee?'
19 Anih mah, Tahamhoihaih na paek ah; aloih bang ih prae maeto nang paek boeh pongah, tuipuek doeh na paek ngala ah, tiah a naa. To pongah Kaleb mah aluek bang ih tuipuek hoi aloih bang ih tuipuek to paek hmaek.
And she saith, 'Give to me a blessing; when the land of the south thou hast given me, then thou hast given to me springs of waters;' and he giveth to her the upper springs and the lower springs.
20 Hae loe Judah acaeng imthung takoh maeto boih mah toep ih prae ah oh.
This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families.
21 Edom ih ramri aloih bang ih prae, aloih bang boenghaih ahmuen ah kaom, Judah acaengnawk ih vangpuinawk loe, Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
And the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah are unto the border of Edom in the south, Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
22 Kinah, Dimonah, Adadah,
and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
23 Kedesh, Hazor, Ithnan,
and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
25 Hazor, Hadattah, Kerioth, Hazor tiah kawk ih, Hezron;
and Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hezron, (it [is] Hazor, )
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
27 Hazar-Gaddah, Heshmon, Beth-Palet,
and Hazar-Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-Palet,
28 Hazar-Shual, Beersheba, Bizjothjah,
and Hazar-Shual, and Beer-Sheba, and Bizjothjah,
Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
30 Eltolad, Khesil, Hormah,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
31 Ziklag, Madmannah, Sansannah,
and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
32 Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain hoi Rimmon; sangqum boih ah vangpui hoi vangtanawk pumphae takawtto oh;
and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities [are] twenty and nine, and their villages.
33 Azawn ah loe Eshtaol, Zoreah, Ashnah,
In the low country: Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
34 Zanoah, En-Gannim, Tappuah, Enam,
and Zanoah, and En-Gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
35 Jarmuth, Adullam, Sokoh, Azekah,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
36 Sharaim, Adithaim hoi Gederah, Gederothaim; sangqum boih ah vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk hatlai palito oh;
and Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities and their villages.
37 to pacoengah Zenan, Hadashah, Migdal-Gad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-Gad,
38 Dilean, Mizpah, Joktheel,
and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
39 Lakhish, Bozkath, Eglon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
40 Kabbon, Lahmam, Kithlish,
and Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
41 Gederoth, Beth-Dagon, Naamah hoi Makkedah; nihcae ih vangtanawk loe hatlai tarukto oh;
and Gederoth, Beth-Dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities and their villages.
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
43 Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib,
and Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
44 Keilah, Akzib hoi Mareshah; vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk sangqum boih ah takawtto oh;
and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities and their villages.
45 Ekron hoi ataeng ih vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk;
Ekron and its towns and its villages,
46 Ekron vangpui hoi kamtong, tuipui khoek to, Ashdod vangpui taeng ih vangtanawk boih;
from Ekron and westward, all that [are] by the side of Ashdod, and their villages.
47 Ashdod hoi a taeng ih vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk, Gaza hoi a taengah kaom vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk; Izip prae vapui, kalen tuipui hoi ramri khoek to phak:
Ashdod, its towns and its villages, Gaza, its towns and its villages, unto the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and [its] border.
48 mae nuiah, Shamir, Jattir, Sokoh,
And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,
49 Dannah, Debir, tiah kawk ih, Kirjath-Sannah,
and Dannah, and Kirjath-Sannah (it [is] Debir)
and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
51 Goshen, Holon hoi Giloh; vangtanawk hatlaito oh;
and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities and their villages.
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
53 Janum, Beth-Tappuah, Aphekah,
and Janum, and Beth-Tappuah, and Aphekah,
54 Humtah, Hebron, tiah kawk ih, Kirjath-Arba hoi Zior; vangtanawk sangqum boih ah takawtto oh;
and Humtah, and Kirjath-Arba (it [is] Hebron), and Zior; nine cities and their villages.
55 Maon, Karmel, Ziph, Juttah,
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,
56 Jezreel, Jokdeam, Zanoah,
and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
57 Kain, Gibeah hoi Timnah, vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk sangqum boih ah hato oh;
Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities and their villages.
58 Halhul, Beth-Zur, Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-Zur, and Gedor,
59 Maarath, Beth-Anoth hoi Eltekon; vangpuinawk hoi vangtanawk sangqum boih ah tarukto oh;
and Maarath, and Beth-Anoth, and Eltekon; six cities and their villages.
60 Kirjath-Jearim tiah kawk ih, Kirjath baal hoi Rabbah, vangpui hoi vangtanawk hnetto oh:
Kirjath-Baal (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities and their villages.
61 praezaek ah, Beth-Arabah, Middin, Sekakah,
In the wilderness: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nishan, Paloi vangpui hoi En-Gedi, vangpui hoi vangtanawk sangqum boih ah tarukto oh.
and Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-Gedi; six cities and their villages.
63 Judah kaminawk mah Jerusalem ah kaom Jebus kaminawk to haek o thai ai; toe Jebus kaminawk loe vaihni ni khoek to Judah kaminawk hoi nawnto oh o.
As to the Jebusites, inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah have not been able to dispossess them, and the Jebusite dwelleth with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem unto this day.
