< Job 37 >
1 Hae hmuen pongah ka palungthin tasoeh moe, a ohhaih ahmuen hoiah angthuih ving.
At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of its place.
2 A thuih ih lok, anih ih pakha thung hoiah tacawt lok to kahoih ah tahngai ah.
Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.
3 A thuih ih lok loe van tlim ah kaom ahmuen boih ah phak moe, tangphrapuekhaih doeh long boenghaih ahmuen khoek to phak.
He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.
4 Tangphrapuek pacoengah lok to angzoh; a lensawkhaih lok hoiah kho to pazisak; lok tacawt pacoengah loe, takhi sae songhaih diisak let mak ai boeh.
After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not restrain them when his voice is heard.
5 Dawnrai koi kaom ah Sithaw mah khopazih lok to tacawtsak; aicae mah panoek thai ai ih kalen parai hmuennawk to anih mah sak.
God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things he doeth, which we cannot comprehend.
6 Dantui khaeah, Long ah krah ah, tiah a naa. Khotui khaeah, Kalen parai kho angzoh hanah lok a paek.
For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
7 Kami boih mah a sak ih hmuen panoek thai hanah, kami boih mah sak ih tok to anghaksak.
He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
8 Taw ih moinawk loe akhaw thungah caeh o moe, athung ah abuep o.
Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
9 Aloih bang hoiah takhi kamhae to angzoh moe, aluek bang hoiah kangqai to angzoh.
From the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold from the north.
10 Sithaw ih takhi mah hmuh pongah, tui to amkhawk, kawk parai tuinawk loe amkhawk o.
By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is narrowed.
11 Tamai to tui hoiah koisak moe, ni aengh mah tamai to angkhoengsak phaeng.
Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
12 Long ah kaom hmuennawk boih loe, a thuih ih lok baktih toengah, sak o hanah a thuih ih lok hoiah ni amhae o.
And it is turned around by his counsels: that they may do whatever he commandeth them upon the face of the world on the earth.
13 Kaminawk thuitaek han ih, to tih ai boeh loe angmah ih long to khetzawn han ih, to tih ai boeh loe palungnathaih amtuengsak han ih, to tiah ohsak.
He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
14 Aw Job hae lok hae tahngai ah; dawnrai koi kaom Sithaw ih hmuennawk hae, anghngaih duem ah loe, poek ah.
Hearken to this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15 Sithaw mah kawbangmaw tamainawk to amzamsak moe, aanghaih to ohsak, tiah na panoek maw?
Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
16 Palunghahaih hoi kakoep, dawnrai koi kaom, Sithaw mah sak ih hmuen ah kaom, tamainawk to kawbangmaw amzamsak, tito na panoek vai maw?
Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
17 Aloih bang ih takhi mah long to betsak naah, na khukbuen to kawbangmaw bet, tiah na panoek vai maw?
How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
18 Sithaw mah kabae amdingsak hanah tamai to taboksak, nang loe to tiah na sak thai maw?
Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
19 Anih khaeah timaw ka thuih o han, tito na patuk ah; khoving pongah tidoeh ka sah o thai ai boeh.
Teach us what we shall say to him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
20 Lokthuih ka koeh, tiah Anih khaeah ka thuih han maw? Kami mah to tiah thui nahaeloe, to kami to anih mah amrosak tangtang tih.
Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man shall speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
21 Takhi song moe, tamai to hmuh phaeng naah, mi mah doeh ni aengh to khen thai ai.
And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
22 Anih loe kampha sui baktiah aluek bang hoiah angzoh; Sithaw loe zitthok Lensawkhaih hoiah akoep.
Fair weather cometh from the north: with God is terrible majesty.
23 Thacak Sithaw loe aicae mah hnu thai ai; anih loe thacakhaih, lokcaekhaih hoi toenghaih hoiah akoep; anih loe mi kawbaktih doeh pacaekthlaek ai.
As for the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice: he will not afflict.
24 To pongah kaminawk mah anih to zit o; anih loe palungha kami ni, tiah poek ih kaminawk khingyahaih to tawn ai, tiah a naa.
Men therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
