< Job 27 >

1 Job mah a thuih ih patahhaih lok to thuih patomh poe;
Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
2 ka toenghaih ang lak pae ving; ka hinghaih patangkhangsak, Thacak Sithaw loe hing pongah,
[As] God liveth, [who] hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, [who] hath vexed my soul;
3 ka hinghaih takhi ka takpum thungah oh nathung, Sithaw ih takhi ka hnaqong thungah oh nathung,
All the while my breath [is] in me, and the spirit of God [is] in my nostrils;
4 ka pahni mah kahoih ai hmuen to thui mak ai, ka palai mah alinghaih lok thui mak ai.
My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
5 Nang loe na toeng tiah, thuih han ih lok to Sithaw mah pakaa nasoe; ka duek khoek to ka toenghaih ka pahnawt sut mak ai.
God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
6 Ka toenghaih to kacakah ka patawnh, ka prawt ving mak ai; ka hing thung ka palung mah kai hae kasae thui mak ai.
My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach [me] so long as I live.
7 Ka misanawk loe kasae kami ah om o nasoe loe, kai tuk han angthawk kaminawk loe katoeng ai kami ah om o nasoe.
Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
8 Angsah cop kami loe duek moe, Sithaw mah a hinghaih lak pae ving naah, oephaih timaw tawn vop tih?
For what [is] the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?
9 Anih nuiah raihaih phak naah, Sithaw mah anih qahhaih lok to tahngai pae maw?
Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
10 Anih loe Thacak Sithaw khaeah anghoe thai tih maw? Anih mah Sithaw to kawk khing tih maw?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
11 Sithaw thacakhaih to kang patuek han; Thacak Sithaw poekhaih thuih hanah kang phat mak ai.
I will teach you by the hand of God: [that] which [is] with the Almighty will I not conceal.
12 Khenah, nangmacae mah roe na hnuk o boeh; tipongah kavang ai lok to na thuih o loe?
Behold, all ye yourselves have seen [it; ] why then are ye thus altogether vain?
13 Sithaw mah kasae kami han paek ih taham, kasae kami mah Thacak Sithaw khae hoi hnuk han koi qawk loe hae tiah oh;
This [is] the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, [which] they shall receive of the Almighty.
14 anih ih caanawk loe pop o parai cadoeh, sumsen hoi hum han ih ni oh o; anih ih caa patoeng kaminawk doeh caaknaek kakhawt ah tawn o mak ai.
If his children be multiplied, [it is] for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
15 Kahing kanghmat kaminawk loe duekhaih mah muek tih; a zu lamhmainawk loe qah o thai mak ai.
Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
16 Anih mah sumkanglung to maiphu baktiah tapop moe, khukbuennawk to tangphrung long baktiah sah langlacadoeh,
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
17 a tawnh ih hmuen to katoeng kami mah ni angkhuk tih, zaehaih tawn ai kami mah phoisa to pazet tih.
He may prepare [it], but the just shall put [it] on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
18 A sak ih im doeh bongpaha tabu baktiah om ueloe, misa toephaih im baktiah ni om tih.
He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth [that] the keeper maketh.
19 Hmuenmae angraeng kami iih han angsong naah loe, hmuennawk tawn mang let mak ai boeh; anih mah mik padai naah, hmuenmaenawk anghmat o boih.
The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he [is] not.
20 Zitthok hmuen mah anih to tuipui baktiah uem ueloe, khoving ah takhi sae mah hmut boih tih.
Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
21 Ni angyae bang ih takhi mah anih to hmuh moe, anghmat ving; a ohhaih ahmuen hoiah kaham takhi sae mah hmuh ving.
The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
22 Anih loe Sithaw ih ban thung hoiah loih han koeh, toe Sithaw mah tahmenhaih tawn ai ah anih to danpaek tih.
For [God] shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
23 To naah kaminawk mah ban tabaeng o thui tih, anih kawng kasae thui o ueloe, a ohhaih ahmuen hoiah haek o ving tih.
[Men] shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
