< Job 26 >

1 To naah Job mah,
Then Job answered and said,
2 kawbangmaw thacak ai kami to na bomh, bantha cak ai kami to na pahlong?
“How you have helped one who has no power! How you have saved the arm that has no strength!
3 Kawbangmaw palungha ai kami khaeah lok na thuih pae? Kawbangmaw kahoih poekhaih to paroeai kaminawk khaeah nam tuengsak?
How you have advised one who has no wisdom and announced to him sound knowledge!
4 Hae lok hae mi han ih maw na thuih? Nang khae hoi angzo muithla loe mi ih maw?
With whose help have you spoken these words? Whose spirit was it that came out from you?
5 Tuinawk tlim ah kaom kadueh kaminawk, tui thungah kaom hmuennawk loe tasoeh takuenhaih hoiah oh o.
The dead are made to tremble, those who are beneath the waters and all who dwell in them.
6 Hell loe Sithaw hmaa ah bangkrai ah ni oh, amrohaih loe kraenghaih akhuem om ai. (Sheol h7585)
Sheol is naked before God; destruction itself has no covering against him. (Sheol h7585)
7 Anih mah aluek bang ih van to tidoeh kaom ai ahmuen nuiah payuengh moe, tidoeh kaom ai ahmuen nuiah long to a bangh.
He stretches out the northern skies over the empty space, and he hangs the earth over nothing.
8 Kathah tamai nuiah tuinawk to a suek; toe tui kazit mah tamai to tapoksak ai.
He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, but the clouds are not torn under them.
9 Anih mah angmah ih angraeng tangkhang to khuk moe, angmah ih tamai to a nuiah taboksak.
He covers the surface of the moon and spreads his clouds on it.
10 Tui nuiah kawk parai ramri to a sak moe, aanghaih hoi vinghaih salakah a suek.
He has engraved a circular boundary on the surface of the waters as the line between light and darkness.
11 Anih mah thuitaek naah, van ih tungnawk to anghuenh moe, dawnraihaih hoiah oh o.
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.
12 A thacakhaih hoiah tuipui to tapraek moe, palunghahaih hoiah amoekhaih to koihsak.
He calmed the sea with his power; by his understanding he shattered Rahab.
13 Angmah ih Muithla hoiah van to krang kahoih ah pathoep moe, a ban hoiah kasae pahui to sak.
By his breath he made the skies clear; his hand pierced the fleeing serpent.
14 Khenah, hae hmuennawk loe a sak ih hmuen aqai ah ni oh o vop; aicae mah anih ih lok zetta ni a thaih o vop; toe a thacakhaih khopazih tuen loe mi mah maw panoek thai tih?
See, these are but the fringes of his ways; how small a whisper do we hear of him! Who can understand the thunder of his power?”
