< Isaiah 62 >

1 A toenghaih to akhawnbang ih ni aengh baktiah aang moe, a pahlonghaih hmaithaw baktiah aang ai karoek to, Zion kawng pongah kang hngai duem mak ai, Jerusalem kawng pongah doeh ka ngam sut mak ai.
For Sion's sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as light, and my salvation burn as a torch.
2 Gentel kaminawk mah na toenghaih to hnu o ueloe, siangpahrangnawk boih mah na lensawkhaih to hnu o tih; Angraeng ih pakha hoi tacawt kangtha ahmin hoiah nang to kawk o tih boeh.
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and kings thy glory: and one shall call thee [by] a new name, which the Lord shall name.
3 Nangcae loe Angraeng ban pong ih lensawkhaih lumuek ah na om o ueloe, na Sithaw ban pong ih siangpahrang lumuek ah na om o tih.
And thou shalt be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Nang to Pahnawt sut ih kami, tiah na kawk o mak ai, na prae doeh kapong sut ahmuen, tiah kawk o mak ai; nang to Hephzibah, tiah na kawk o ueloe, na prae doeh Beulah, tiah kawk o tih boeh; Angraeng mah ang palung pongah, na prae loe sava sah tih boeh.
And thou shalt no more be called Forsaken; and thy land shall no more be called Desert: for thou shalt be called My Pleasure, and thy land Inhabited: for the Lord has taken pleasure in thee, and thy land shall be inhabited.
5 Thendoeng mah tangla cuem zu haih baktih toengah, na capanawk mah nang to zu ah la tih; zu la kami mah a zu nuiah anghoehaih tawnh baktih toengah, na nuiah na Sithaw anghoehaih om tih.
And as a young man lives with a virgin, so shall thy sons dwell in [thee]: and it shall come to pass [that] as a bridegroom will rejoice over a bride, so will the Lord rejoice over thee.
6 Aw Jerusalem, na sipae nuiah misatoep kami to ka suek boeh, nihcae loe khoving khodai om o duem mak ai; anghak ai ah Angraeng kawk kaminawk, om o duem hmah,
And on thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I set watchmen all day and all night, who shall never cease making mention of the Lord.
7 Jerusalem to caksak moe, long nuiah pakoehaih om ai karoek to anih to anghak o sak hmah.
For there is none like you, when he shall have established, and made Jerusalem a praise on the earth.
8 Angraeng loe thacak, a bantang ban hoiah lokkamhaih to sak boeh; Nang ih cang to na misanawk hanah buh ah ka paek mak ai boeh, patanghaih hoi na sak ih misurtui to prae kalah kaminawk mah nae o mak ai boeh;
For the Lord has sworn by his glory, and by the might of his arm, I will no more give thy corn and thy provisions to thine enemies; nor shall strangers any more drink thy wine, for which thou has laboured.
9 toe cang aat kaminawk loe caa o ueloe, Angraeng to pakoeh o tih; misurthaih pakhrik kaminawk loe ka hmuenciim imthung ah nae o tih, tiah thuih.
But they that have gathered them shall eat them, and they shall praise the Lord; and they that have gathered [the grapes] shall drink thereof in my holy courts.
10 Tacawt oh, khongkha thung hoi tacawt oh! Kaminawk hanah loklam to paroep pae oh; manglaih lampui to sah oh, sah oh! Thlungnawk to takhoe oh; kaminawk hanah kahni payang pae oh.
Go through my gates, and make a way for my people; and cast the stones out of the way; lift up a standard for the Gentiles.
11 Khenah, Angraeng mah long boenghaih ahmuen khoek to lokthuih boeh; Zion canu khaeah, Khenah, nang pahlongkung loe angzoh boeh! Khenah, tangqum to a sinh moe, sak pathok let hanah hmuen doeh a sinh.
For behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, say ye to the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy Saviour has come to thee, having his reward and his work before his face.
12 Nihcae loe ciimcai kami, Angraeng mah akrang ih kami, tiah kawk o ueloe, minawk mah pahnawt sut ai ih, vangpui, tiah na kawk o tih.
And one shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called a city sought out, and not forsaken.
