< Isaiah 55 >
1 Aw tui anghae kaminawk, angzo oh, tuikung ah angzo oh; nangcae phoisa tawn ai kaminawk, Angzo oh, qan oh loe caa oh! Ue, angzo oh, misurtui hoi tahnutui to phoisa paek ai ah qan oh.
Come, everyone of you who's thirsty, come and drink the water! You who don't have money, come—you can buy and eat! Come and buy wine and milk—you don't need money; there's no cost!
2 Tipongah buh ah kaom ai hmuen pongah phoisa to na pasaeng o moe, zok amhah ai hmuen pongah tha tho na pasaeng o loe? Ka lok hae hoidakta ah tahngai oh, kahoih caaknaek to caa oh, to tiah ni na hinghaih mah kating ai anghoehaih to hnu tih.
Why are you spending money on what isn't food, and why work for something that doesn't satisfy you? Listen carefully to me: eat what is good, and you'll enjoy the very best food.
3 Na naa to patueng oh loe, kai khaeah angzo oh; na pakhra hing thai hanah ka lok hae tahngai oh; nangcae hoi dungzan lokmaihaih to ka sak moe, oepthok amlunghaih to David khaeah ka paek han.
Come here, and pay attention, so you can truly live. I'm going to make an agreement with you that will last forever, based on the trustworthy love I showed to David.
4 Khenah, anih to kaminawk boih hnukung, zaehoikung hoi lok thuikung ah ka sak boeh.
See how I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for them.
5 Khenah, anih mah ang pakoeh moe, Angraeng na Sithaw, Ciimcai Israel Sithaw rang hoiah, na panoek vai ai ih acaeng to na kawk tih, nang panoek vai ai kaminawk doeh nangcae khaeah cawn o tih:
You will call nations you don't even know, and nations who don't know you will come running to you. For the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, I made you glorious.
6 Anih hnuk thai koiah oh naah Angraeng to pakrong oh, kazoi ah oh naah kawk oh.
Look for the Lord while you can still find him; call out to him while he's nearby.
7 Kasae kami mah a caehhaih loklam to toengh nasoe loe, katoeng ai poekhaih tawn kami mah katoeng ai a poekhaihnawk to toengh lai nasoe; Angraeng khaeah amlaem nasoe, to tiah ni anih mah a nuiah palungnathhaih to tawn tih; aicae Sithaw khaeah amlaem nasoe, to tiah nahaeloe a zaehaih to tahmen pae tih.
Wicked people should change their ways and get rid of even the thought of doing something wrong. They should turn to the Lord so he can be merciful to them. Come back to our God, because he's generous with his forgiveness.
8 Ka poekhaihnawk loe nangcae poekhaih hoiah anghmong ai; kai ih loklamnawk doeh nangcae ih loklamnawk hoiah anghmong ai, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
For your thoughts are not my thoughts; and your ways are not my ways, declares the Lord.
9 Vannawk loe long pongah sang o kue baktih toengah, kai ih loklamnawk loe nangcae ih loklamnawk pongah sang kue, ka poekhaihnawk doeh nangcae poekhaihnawk pongah sang kue.
In the same way the heavens are higher than the earth, my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
10 Khotui hoi dantui loe van hoi krak tathuk pacoengah amlaem tanghang let ai; long to a duksak moe, aankungnawk to amprawksak; tadok tacawtsak moe, aanmu haeh kami hanah thingthai to athaisak, buhcaa kami hanah buh to ohsak:
It's like the rain and snow that fall from heaven. They don't go back there until they've watered the earth, making plants grow and flower, providing seeds for the sower and food to eat.
11 ka pakha hoi tacawt lok loe to tiah om tih; azom pui ah kai khaeah amlaem mak ai, ka koehhaih to acungsak ueloe, toksak hanah ka patoeh ih hmuen to akoepsak tih.
In the same way the words I say don't come back to me unfulfilled, they accomplish what I want—they successfully achieve my purpose.
12 Nangcae loe anghoehaih hoiah na caeh o tih, lunghoihta ah na caeh o haih tih; maenawk hoi maesomnawk loe na hmaa ah laasakhaih hoiah hang o tih, taw ih thingnawk boih anghoehaih hoiah ban tabaeng o tih.
You will live happily, taught the ways of peace. Mountains and hills will celebrate, singing beside you; and all the trees will clap their hands!
13 Soekhringkung zuengah hmaica thing amprawk ueloe, kapring zuengah thing kamtak thing to amprawk tih; hae loe Angraeng ih ahmin panoek poehaih ah om ueloe, dungzan anghmaa thai ai angmathaih ah om tih boeh, tiah thuih.
Cypress trees will grow instead of thorn bushes; myrtle trees will grow instead of brambles. This is to confirm the Lord's reputation—an everlasting sign, never to be destroyed.
