< Isaiah 52 >
1 Aw zion, angthawk ah, anglawt ah loe tha to la ah; Aw Jerusalem, ciimcai vangpui, kahoih khukbuen to angkhuk ah; tangzat hin aat ai kami hoi panuet thok kami loe na thungah akun let mak ai boeh.
Awake! awake! put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful robes, O Jerusalem, the holy town: for from now there will never again come into you the unclean and those without circumcision.
2 Maiphu to takhoek ah loe angthawk ah; Aw Jerusalem, angraeng anghnuthaih ahmuen ah anghnu ah; Aw tamna ah kaom Zion canu, na tahnong ah na oih ih sumqui to angkhring lai ah.
Make yourself clean from the dust; up! and take the seat of your power, O Jerusalem: the bands of your neck are loose, O prisoned daughter of Zion.
3 Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih; nang loe tangka hoi na ai ah zawh boeh pongah, tangka hoi ai ah ni akrang tih.
For the Lord says, You were given for nothing, and you will be made free without price.
4 Angraeng Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih; canghnii ah kai ih kaminawk loe Izip prae ah khosak hanah caeh o tathuk; hnukkhuem ah loe nihcae to Assyria kaminawk mah takung om ai ah pacaekthlaek o.
For the Lord God says, My people went down at first into Egypt, to get a place for themselves there: and the Assyrian put a cruel yoke on them without cause.
5 Vaihi tih sak han ih maw hae ah ka oh? tiah Angraeng mah thuih; takung om ai ah kai ih kaminawk to a naeh o, ukkungnawk mah nihcae to pacaekthlaek o moe, ni thokkhruek kai ih ahmin kasae a thuih o, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
Now then, what have I here? says the Lord, for my people are taken away without cause; they are made waste and give cries of sorrow, says the Lord, and all the day the nations put shame on my name.
6 To pongah kai ih kaminawk mah ka hmin hae panoek o tih; to lok thuikung loe Kai ni, tiah atue mah phak naah panoek o tih; khenah, to tiah thuikung loe Kai ni.
For this cause I will make my name clear to my people; in that day they will be certain that it is my word which comes to them; see, here am I.
7 Monghaih lok thuikung, kahoih tamthanglok sinkung, pahlonghaih lok thuikung, anghoehaih tamthanglok sinkung, Zion hanah, Na Sithaw loe Angraeng ah oh, tiah mae nui hoiah angzo lok thuikung ih khok loe kawkrukmaw kranghoih.
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who comes with good news, who gives word of peace, saying that salvation is near; who says to Zion, Your God is ruling!
8 Na misa toep kaminawk ih lok to tahgai oh; nihcae loe anghoehaih laa to nawnto sah o tih; Angraeng loe Zion ah amlaem let boeh, tiah angmacae ih mik hoiah hnu o tih.
The voice of your watchmen! their voices are loud in song together; for they will see him, eye to eye, when the Lord comes back to Zion.
9 Ahmuen kamro Jerusalem, anghoehaih laa to nawnto sah o oh; Angraeng mah angmah ih kaminawk to pathloep boeh, anih mah Jerusalem to akrang boeh.
Give sounds of joy, make melody together, waste places of Jerusalem: for the Lord has given comfort to his people, he has taken up the cause of Jerusalem.
10 Prae kaminawk boih mikhnuk ah, Angraeng mah kaciim a ban to amtuengsak boeh pongah, long boenghaih ahmuen ah kaom kaminawk boih mah aicae Sithaw pahlonghaih to hnu o tih.
The Lord has let his holy arm be seen by the eyes of all nations; and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.
11 Tacawt oh, tacawt oh, to ahmuen hoiah tacawt oh! Kaciim ai hmuen to sui o hmah! To ahmuen hoiah tacawt oh; Sithaw ih laom phaw kaminawk, ciimcai oh.
Away! away! go out from there, touching no unclean thing; go out from among her; be clean, you who take up the vessels of the Lord.
12 Tawt hoiah caeh o hmah; cawnhhaih hoiah doeh caeh o hmah; Angraeng loe nangcae hmaa ah caeh tih; nangcae pakaa hanah Israel Sithaw loe hnukbang ah om tih.
For you will not go out suddenly, and you will not go in flight: for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will come after you to keep you.
13 Khenah, ka tamna loe toksakhaih boih ah hmacawn tih; anih loe kasangah tapom ueloe, ranui koekah pakoehhaih om tih.
See, my servant will do well in his undertakings, he will be honoured, and lifted up, and be very high.
14 Anih to kami hoi anghmong ai ah mikhmai set o sak moe, kami hoi anghmong ai ah krang set o sak pongah, kanoih parai kaminawk loe dawnrai o:
As peoples were surprised at him, And his face was not beautiful, so as to be desired: his face was so changed by disease as to be unlike that of a man, and his form was no longer that of the sons of men.
15 Anih mah kanoih parai prae kaminawk to ciimsak tih, siangpahrangnawk loe anih hmaa ah pakha tamuep o tih; minawk mah thuih vai ai ih hmuen to nihcae mah hnu o tih; minawk mah thaih vai ai ih hmuen to nihcae mah poek o tih.
So will nations give him honour; kings will keep quiet because of him: for what had not been made clear to them they will see; and they will give their minds to what had not come to their ears.
