< Isaiah 50 >
1 Angraeng mah, Ka pakhrak ving ih nam no hoi ampraekhaih ca loe naa ah maw oh? To tih ai boeh loe mi ih laiba maw ka tawnh moe, nang to laiba tawnkung khaeah kang zawh? Khenah, na zaehaih mah misong ah ang zawh boeh, sakpazaehaih pongah ni nam no to ka pakhrak ving.
Thus says the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have all of you sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
2 Tipongah kang zoh naah, kami maeto doeh na om o ai moe, kang kawk o naah mi mah doeh nang pathim o ai loe? Nangcae akrang thaih han ai khoek to ka ban hae duemtet maw? To tih ai boeh loe nangcae loisak hanah ka tha zok boeh maw? Khenah, ka thuitaek naah tuipui to kang moe, vapuinawk doeh praezaek ah kang coengsak; tui om ai pongah tui thung ih tanganawk loe tui anghaeh hoiah duek o moe, qong o boeh.
Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinks, because there is no water, and dies for thirst.
3 Kai mah ni vannawk to vinghaih hoiah ka khuk moe, khukhaih buri kahni doeh ka sak pae, tiah thuih.
I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
4 Thazok kaminawk khaeah lok ka thuih thai hanah, patuk tangcae ah kaom pahni to Angraeng Sithaw mah ang paek; anih mah akhawnbang kruek ang pathawk, ca amtuk kami baktiah tahngaih hanah ka naa hae thacaksak.
The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens mine ear to hear as the learned.
5 Angraeng Sithaw mah ka naa hae ang paongh pae, kang maa pae ai; hnukbangah doeh kang qoi taak ai.
The Lord GOD has opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
6 Boh hanah nihcae khaeah kaeng ka patueng pae moe, amui aphong hanah tangbaeng to ka patueng pae; hnaphnaehaih hoiah tamtuih ang pathoih o thuih naah mikhmai ka hawk ai.
I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7 Angraeng Sithaw mah ang bomh pongah, dawnrai hoiah ka om mak ai; azathaih ka tongh tang mak ai, tiah ka panoek pongah, ka mikhmai hae thlung hmaisaae baktiah kam taksak.
For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8 Ka zaehaih toengsakkung loe zoi boeh; mi mah maw kai hae na khing thai tih? Nawnto angdoe o si! Ka misa loe mi aa? Ka hmaa ah angzo noek nasoe!
He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
9 Khenah, Angraeng Sithaw mah na bom tih; mi mah maw zaehaih na net tih? Khenah, nihcae loe kahni baktiah prawn o ueloe, karaa mah caa boih tih.
Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
10 Nangcae thungah mi maw Sithaw zii moe, a tamna ih lok tahngai kami kaom? Aanghaih tawn ai ah vinghaih thungah paqai kami loe mi maw? To kami loe Angraeng ih ahmin to oep nasoe loe, angmah ih Sithaw nuiah amha nasoe.
Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of his servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
Behold, all you that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that all of you have kindled. This shall all of you have of mine hand; all of you shall lie down in sorrow.
