< Isaiah 43 >
1 Toe vaihi loe Aw Jakob, nang sahkung, Aw Israel, nang omsakkung, Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih; Aw Israel zii hmah; kai mah kang krang boeh moe, ahmin hoiah kang kawk boeh; nang loe kai ih hmuen ah ni na oh boeh.
Now this is what the LORD says— He who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine!
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched; the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place.
Because you are precious and honored in My sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you and nations in place of your life.
5 Zii hmah; nang hoi nawnto ka oh; na caengnawk to ni angzae bang, niduem bang hoiah ka hoih moe, nawnto ka pakhueng han;
Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east and gather you from the west.
6 aluek bang hanah, Prawt oh, tiah ka naa moe, aloih bang khaeah, Naeh o caeng hmah; angthla parai ahmuen hoiah ka capanawk to hoi oh loe, ka canunawk to long boenghaih ahmuen hoiah hoi oh, tiah ka thuih pae han.
I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth—
everyone called by My name and created for My glory, whom I have indeed formed and made.”
8 Mik tawnh o e, mikmaeng kaminawk, naa tawnh o e, naapang kaminawk to angzo o haih ah.
Bring out a people who have eyes but are blind, and who have ears but are deaf.
9 Prae kaminawk boih nawnto amkhueng o nasoe, kaminawk angcuu o nasoe; nihcae thungah mi kawbaktih mah maw hae hmuen hae thui ueloe, hmaloe ah kaom hmuennawk to mi mah maw aicae khaeah thui tih? Nihcae loe toeng o, tiah panoek thai hanah, hnukungnawk to angzo o haih nasoe; to tih ai boeh loe lok tahngai o nasoe loe, loktang to thui o nasoe.
All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. Who among them can declare this, and proclaim to us the former things? Let them present their witnesses to vindicate them, so that others may hear and say, “It is true.”
10 Kai loe anih boeh ni, tiah panoek moe, nang tang o pacoengah, kai nang panoek o tangtang thai hanah, nangcae loe kai hnukung, kang qoih o ih tamna ah na oh o, tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
“You are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may consider and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me no god was formed, and after Me none will come.
11 Kai, Kai loe Angraeng ah ka oh; Kai ai ah loe pahlongkung om ai.
I, yes I, am the LORD, and there is no Savior but Me.
12 Kai loe thuih moe, ka thuih ih lok baktih toengah ka pahlong, kamtueng ah doeh ka sak boeh, nangcae salakah prae kalah sithaw to om ai; to pongah nangcae loe Kai hnukung ah na oh o, Kai loe Sithaw ah ka oh.
I alone decreed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. So you are My witnesses,” declares the LORD, “that I am God.
13 Ue, Kai loe ani om ai naah Sithaw ah ka oh boeh; ka ban thung hoi kalomh thaih mi doeh om ai; ka sak ih hmuen hae mi mah maw aek thai tih? tiah Angraeng mah thuih.
Even from eternity I am He, and none can deliver out of My hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”
14 Nangcae akrangkung, Ciimcai Israel Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih; nangcae pongah Babylon ah kami ka patoeh moe, kaproeng Khaldian kaminawk to nihcae amoekhaih palongpui thungah ka kraksak boih han.
Thus says the LORD your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake, I will send to Babylon and bring them all as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice.
15 Kai loe Angraeng ah ka oh, Ciimcai nangcae ih Sithaw, Israel sahkung, nangcae ih Siangpahrang ah ka oh, tiah thuih.
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, and your King.”
16 Tuipui thungah loklam sahkung, kalen parai tuipui thungah caehhaih lam sahkung,
Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the surging waters,
17 hrang lakok hoi hrangnawk, pop parai misatuh kaminawk zaehoikung, nihcae angthawk thaih han ai ah, nawnto amtimsak moe, kadueh hmai baktiah nihcae paduekkung Angraeng mah hae tiah thuih;
who brings out the chariots and horses, the armies and warriors together, to lie down, never to rise again; to be extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:
18 hnukbang ih hmuennawk to pahnet oh loe, canghnii ih hmuennawk to poek o hmah lai ah.
“Do not call to mind the former things; pay no attention to the things of old.
19 Khenah, hmuen kangtha ka sak han boeh; vaihi tacawt tahang tih boeh; praezaek ah loklam to ka sak moe, long karoem ahmuen ah tui ka longsak han, tito na panoek o ai maw?
Behold, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the desert.
20 Ka qoih ih kami, kaimah ih kaminawk to tui paek hanah, praezaek ah tui ka paek moe, long karoem ahmuen ah tui ka longsak pongah, taw ih moisannawk, tasuinawk hoi bukbuhnawk mah kai to pakoeh o tih.
The beasts of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, because I provide water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My chosen people.
The people I formed for Myself will declare My praise.
22 Toe Aw Jakob, nang mah loe nang kawk ai; Aw Israel, kai hae nang hmawt sut boeh.
But you have not called on Me, O Jacob, because you have grown weary of Me, O Israel.
23 Kai khaeah hmai angbawnhaih hanah tuu to na sin ai, hmuen tathlanghaih hoiah doeh nang pakoeh ai. Hmuen paekhaih hoiah tok kang sahsak ai, hmuenzit ah oh han ai ah hmuihoih tui paek hanah doeh kang hnih ai.
You have not brought Me sheep for burnt offerings, nor honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense.
24 Kai hanah hmuihoih tui nang qan pae ai, angbawnhaih kathawk moi hoiah doeh kai zok nam hah sak ai; toe na zaehaih to hmuenzit ah nang phawsak moe, na sakpazaehaih hoiah kai nang phosak.
You have not bought Me sweet cane with your silver, nor satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened Me with your sins; you have wearied Me with your iniquities.
25 Kai, kaimah roe mah ni, kaimah hanah na zaehaih to kang takhoe pae, na zaehaihnawk to ka pakuem mak ai boeh.
I, yes I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake and remembers your sins no more.
Remind Me, let us argue the matter together. State your case, so that you may be vindicated.
27 Hmaloe ih nam pa loe zaehaih to sak boeh, nang patuk kaminawk loe ka nuiah kahoih ai hmuen to sak o boeh.
Your first father sinned, and your spokesmen rebelled against Me.
28 To pongah hmuenciim ah toksah qaimanawk to amhnong kami ah ka sak, Jakob to ka tangoeng moe, Israel to loksae ka bah.
So I will disgrace the princes of your sanctuary, and I will devote Jacob to destruction and Israel to reproach.”
