< Isaiah 4 >
1 To na niah loe nongpata sarihto mah nongpa maeto naeh angbomh o ueloe, nihcae mah, Kaicae loe kaimacae ih buh ka caak o moe, kaimacae ih khukbuen ni kang khuk o han, kaicae ahminsethaih to takhoe ving hanah, na hmin to mah kaicae hanah na phawsak doek ah, tiah naa o tih.
At that time seven women will grab hold of one man and tell him, “We'll eat our own food and we can provide our own clothes. Just let us take your name by being married to you. Please take away our disgrace!”
2 To na niah Angraeng ih tanghang loe, kranghoihaih, lensawkhaih hoiah om tih, long ih thingthai qumponawk loe kaloih Israel kaminawk hanah, koeh koi kaom, kahoih parai thingthai ah om tih.
But at that time, the “branch of the Lord” will be attractive and glorious; the fruit the land produces will be the pride and glory of the survivors who are left in Israel.
3 Zion ah caehtaak ih kaminawk, Jerusalem ah kanghmat kaminawk, Jerusalem ah kahing kami cazin thungah tarik ih kaminawk boih loe ciimcai, tiah kawk o tih boeh;
Everyone who remains in Zion will be called holy—all of those who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem—
4 Angraeng mah Zion canunawk amhnonghaih to pasae pae boih ueloe, lokcaekhaih muithla hoi hmaiqoenghaih muithla mah Jerusalem ih athii to pasae pae tih.
once the Lord has washed away the excrement of the daughters of Zion, and cleaned the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.
5 Angraeng mah a ohhaih ahmuen Zion mae hoiah to ah amkhueng kaminawk boih nuiah, khodai ah tamai hoi hmaikhue, khoving ah kangqong hmai hoiah toeh tih; nihcae boih a lensawkhaih hoiah ven khoep tih.
Then the Lord will create over the whole of Mount Zion and over the assembly of those who meet there a cloud of smoke during the day and a blazing flame of fire during night—over everything there will be this glorious canopy.
6 Kahni im loe athun ni bet naah tahlip ah om ueloe, kho angzoh moe, takhi pui song naah, abuephaih ahmuen ah om tih.
It will provide a place to stay in the shade of the daytime heat, and a shelter to hide from storm and rain.
