Alas! thou plunderer when, thou, hadst not been plundered, And thou traitor when they had not betrayed thee: When thou hast ceased plundering, thou shalt be plundered, When thou hast left off betraying, they shall betray thee.
2 Aw Angraeng, kaicae hae tahmen raeh; nang khue ni kang zing o; akhawnbang kruek kaicae thacakhaih ah om ah loe, raihaih tue ah kaicae pahlonghaih ah om ah.
O Yahweh! shew us favour, —For thee, have we waited, —Be thou their arm every morning, Yea our salvation in the time of distress.
3 Lok tuenh pongah kaminawk loe cawnh o; nang thawk tahang naah acaeng kaminawk boih anghaeh o phang.
At the noise of a tumult, the peoples retreated, —When thou didst lift thyself up, nations were scattered.
4 Nangmah nihcae amrosak naah loe nihcae to pakhuh naeh baktiah naeh o tih; pakhuhnawk ahnuk ahma angphet o baktih toengah, nihcae doeh ahnuk ahma cawn o tih.
Then shall your spoil be gathered as the gathering of the caterpillar, —As the swift running of locusts, is he about to run upon them.
5 Anih loe hmuensang ah oh pongah, Angraeng loe kasangah pakoeh o; anih mah Zion to kamsoem ah lokcaekhaih hoi toenghaih hoiah koisak tih.
Exalted is Yahweh, for he inhabiteth a height, —He hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 Palunghahaih hoi panoekhaih loe na hing thung kacakah angdoethaih, thacak pahlonghaih ah om tih; Angraeng zithaih loe nang ih tacong ah om tih.
So shall a wealth of deliverances, wisdom and knowledge, become the stability of thy times, —the reverence of Yahweh, the same is his treasure.
7 Khenah, nihcae ih misahoih kaminawk loe tasa bangah qah o; angdaehhaih sah kami laicaehnawk doeh palungsethaih hoiah qah o.
Lo! their heroes, have cried out openly, —the messengers of peace, in bitterness, continue weeping [they say]:
8 Manglaih lampui loe pong sut boeh, loklam pazui kami doeh om o ai boeh; lokmaihaih to anih mah phraek moe, vangpuinawk doeh pahnawt sut boeh, mi kawbaktih mikhmai doeh khen ai boeh.
The highways are deserted, The passer-by on the path, hath ceased, —He hath broken covenant, He hath despised cities, He hath made no account of men.

The land mourneth, languisheth, Lebanon, displayeth shame, is withered, —Sharon, hath become, as the waste plain, And Bashan and Carmel are shaking off their leaves.
10 Angraeng mah, Kai loe vaihi kang thawk moe, vaihi pakoeh ah ka oh han; vaihi kaimah hoi kaimah kang toengh tahang han.
Now, will I arise, Saith Yahweh, Now, will I lift myself up, Now, will I be exalted!
11 Nangcae loe tavai to na pomh o pongah, azen to na tapen o tih; nangmacae to kangh hanah, nang hah o ih takhi loe hmai baktiah oh om tih.
Ye shall conceive chaff Ye shall bring forth stubble, —Your own breath, like fire, shall devour you.
12 Kaminawk loe hmai mah kang ih thlung kahmawn baktih, pakhruk moe, hmaitik ih soekhringkung baktiah om o tih.
So shall peoples, become, as the burnings of lime, —As thorns lopped off, with fire, shall they be burned.
13 Kangthla ah kaom nangcae kaminawk, ka sak ih tok hae tahngai oh; kazoi ah kaom nangcae kaminawk, ka thacakhaih hae panoek oh.
Hear—ye that are far off. what I have done, And know—ye that are near my might:

Terror-stricken in Zion, —are sinners, Shuddering hath seized the impious, —Who among us can sojourn with a fire that devoureth? Who among us can sojourn with burnings age-abiding?
15 Katoeng loklam ah caeh moe, loktang lok thui kami, amsoem ai ah phoisa hnukhaih to koeh ai, bokhaih phoisa doeh talawk ai kami, kami hum hanah thuih ih lok to thaih han ai ah naa tamuep kami hoi kasae hnukhaih bangah mik pakhrip kami loe,
He that walketh righteously, And speaketh uprightly, —He that refuseth the gain of exactions That shaketh his hands free from holding a bribe, That stoppeth his ear from hearkening to deeds of blood, And shutteth his eyes from giving countenance to wrong,
16 hmuensang ah om tih; mae nui ih kacak sipae loe anih misa abuephaih ah om tih; anih han apet ai ah buh to paek tih, tui doeh kang pae mak ai.
He, the heights, shall inhabit, A stronghold of crags, shall be his refuge, —His bread, hath been delivered, His waters, have been made sure,
17 Na mik mah Siangpahrang Hoihhaih to hnu tih; angthla parai prae doeh hnu tih.
Of a king, in his beauty, shall thine eyes have vision: They shall see a land that stretcheth afar.
18 Zitthok hmuen to na poek naah, Ca tarik kami loe naa ah maw oh ving? Tamut cong kami loe naa ah maw oh ving? Kalen koek imsang toep kami loe naa ah maw oh ving boeh?
Thy heart, may murmur in terror, —Where is the scribe? Where—the receiver? Where—he that maketh a list of the towers?
19 Na panoek thai ai ih kathuk lok apae kami, thaih kop thai ai ih lok apae kami to na hnu mak ai boeh.
The fierce people, shalt thou not see, —The people of too deep a lip to be understood, of too barbarous a tongue for thee to comprehend.
20 Aicae poihsakhaih vangpui, Zion to dan oh; tung maeto doeh angthui ai, qui maeto doeh apet ai, amtim han kaom ai kahni im ah kaom, amding rue ah ohhaih Jerusalem vangpui to na mik hoiah hnu tih.
Look thou on Zion, the city of our appointed feast, —Thine own eyes, shall see Jerusalem—A home of comfort A tent which shall not be packed up—Whose pins shall not be pulled out, for ever, And none of, whose cords, shall be broken.
21 Lensawk Angraeng loe to vangpui ah aicae han vapui tui hoi vacong tuinawk angqumhaih kakawk ahmuen ah om tih; to ahmuen ah loe palong thoek kami hoi misatukhaih palong doeh caeh mak ai.
But, there shall Yahweh be our majestic one, A place of rivers—streams broad on both hands, Wherein shall go no galley with oars, Neither shall majestic ship traverse it;
22 Angraeng loe kaicae lokcaekkung ah oh, Angraeng loe kaicae han patukhaih lok paek kami ah oh; Angraeng loe kaicae ih Siangpahrang ah oh; kaicae loe anih mah pahlong tih.
For, Yahweh is our judge, Yahweh, is our lawgiver, —Yahweh, is our king, He will save us!

24 Zion vangpui ah kaom kaminawk mah, Ngan ka nat, tiah thui o mak ai; to vangpui thungah kaom kaminawk ih zaehaih to tahmen pae tih boeh.
Neither shall the inhabitant say. I am sick, —the people who dwell therein, have been forgiven iniquity.
