< Isaiah 24 >

1 Khenah, Angraeng mah long hae tidoeh om ai ah suek moe, amrosak sut boeh; a krang amtuenghaih doeh amrosak ueloe, athung ih kaminawk to amhetsak phang tih.
Lo, Jehovah is emptying the land, And is making it waste, And hath overturned [it on] its face, And hath scattered its inhabitants.
2 Kamtang khaeah oh baktih toengah, qaima khaeah doeh om tih; tamna khaeah oh baktih toengah angraeng khaeah doeh om tih; tamna nongpata khaeah oh baktih toengah, angraeng nongpata khaeah doeh om tih; hmuen qan kami khaeah oh baktih toengah, hmuen zaw kami khaeah doeh om tih; coi han hmuen paek kami khaeah oh baktih toengah, hmuen coi kami khaeah doeh om tih; phoisa coi han paek kami khaeah oh baktih toengah, phoisa coi kami khaeah doeh om tih.
And it hath been — as a people so a priest, As the servant so his master, As the maid-servant so her mistress, As the buyer so the seller, As the lender so the borrower, As the usurer so he who is lifting [it] on himself.
3 Long loe tidoeh om mak ai, kong rawk ueloe, amro tih, tiah Angraeng mah thuih boeh.
Utterly emptied is the land, and utterly spoiled, For Jehovah hath spoken this word:
4 Long loe zaek moe, azaem ving boeh, long loe thazok moe, azaem ving boeh; long ah kaom amoek kaminawk loe thazok o boeh.
Mourned, faded hath the land, Languished, faded hath the world, Languished have they — the high place of the people of the land.
5 Long kaminawk loe Sithaw patukhaih lok to aek o, a sak o han koi kaalok to pakhraih o moe, dungzan kacak lokmaihaih to a phraek o boeh pongah, long hae amhnong o sak boeh.
And the land hath been defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed laws, They have changed a statute, They have made void a covenant age-during.
6 To pongah tangoenghaih mah long hae paaeh boeh, athung ah kaom kaminawk nuiah amrohaih to phak boeh; to pongah long ah kaom kaminawk loe hmai mah kangh moe, kami zetta khue ni anghmat boeh.
Therefore a curse hath consumed the land, And the inhabitants in it are become desolate, Therefore consumed have been inhabitants of the land, And few men have been left.
7 Misurtui kangtha loe atui kang ving boeh moe, misurkung doeh zaek boih boeh; poeknawmhaih boih doeh palungsethaih hoiah ni anghah o boeh.
Mourned hath the new wine, languished the vine, Sighed have all the joyful of heart.
8 Atuen kamding satuem lok doeh dip boeh, anghoehaih hoiah hang kaminawk ih lok doeh dip boih boeh moe, anghoehaih katoeng lok doeh dip boeh.
Ceased hath the joy of tabrets, Ceased hath the noise of exulting ones, Ceased hath the joy of a harp.
9 Laasak hoiah misurtui to nae o ai boeh; mu loe nae kaminawk hanah kakhaa tui ah om pae tih.
With a song they drink not wine, Bitter is strong drink to those drinking it.
10 Anghmang kathok vangpui loe amro boeh; mi doeh imthung ah akun han ai ah, thok to takraeng o boih boeh.
It was broken down — a city of emptiness, Shut hath been every house from entrance.
11 Misurtui om ai boeh pongah loklamnawk ah hang o; anghoehaihnawk boih khoving ah angcoeng boeh moe, prae thungah anghoehaih to boeng boeh.
A cry over the wine [is] in out-places, Darkened hath been all joy, Removed hath been the joy of the land.
12 Vangpui loe angqai krang boeh moe, vangpui ih khongkha doeh boh pae o phaeng boeh.
Left in the city [is] desolation, And [with] wasting is the gate smitten.
13 Olive thing kanghuen baktih, misurthaih pakhrik pacoengah kanghmat athaih to akhuih baktiah, prae thung ih kaminawk salakah om tih.
When thus it is in the heart of the land, In the midst of the peoples, As the compassing of the olive, As gleanings when harvest hath been finished,
14 Nihcae loe hang o ueloe, anghoehaih hoiah laa to sah o tih; tuipui bang hoiah lensawk Angraeng saphawhaih laa to sah o tih.
They — they lift up their voice, They sing of the excellency of Jehovah, They have cried aloud from the sea.
15 To pongah ni angyae bangah Angraeng to pakoeh oh loe, tuipui thung ih praenawk ah Israel Angraeng Sithaw ih ahmin to saphaw oh.
Therefore in prosperity honour ye Jehovah, In isles of the sea, the name of Jehovah, God of Israel.
16 Katoeng kami nuiah lensawkhaih to om nasoe, tiah long boenghaih ahmuen hoi laasakhaih lok to ka thaih o. Toe kai mah, Kai loe amro boeh, amro boeh! Khosak ka bing boeh! Aling thaih kaminawk mah aling boeh! Ue, aling thaih kaminawk mah ang ling o tangtang boeh, tiah ka naa.
From the skirt of the earth we heard songs, The desire of the righteous. And I say, 'Leanness [is] to me, Leanness [is] to me, woe [is] to me.' Treacherous dealers dealt treacherously, Yea, treachery, treacherous dealers dealt treacherously.
17 Aw long kaminawk, nangcae loe tasoehhaih, tangqom hoi thaang mah ang zing o boeh.
Fear, and a snare, and a gin, [Are] on thee, O inhabitant of the land.
18 Zithaih lok pongah kacawn kami loe tangqom thungah krah tih; tangqom thung hoi tacawt tahang kami loe thaang pongah aman tih; van ih tui khongkhanawk to paongh o boeh pongah, long angdoethaih ahmuen doeh anghuen boeh.
And it hath come to pass, He who is fleeing from the noise of the fear Doth fall into the snare, And he who is coming up from the midst of the snare, Is captured by the gin, For windows on high have been opened, And shaken are foundations of the land.
19 Long loe koih phom boeh; long loe amro boeh pongah, anghuenh parai boeh.
Utterly broken down hath been the land, Utterly broken hath been the land, Utterly moved hath been the land.
20 Long loe mu paqui kami baktiah ahnuk ahma amhae moe, takhi mah hmuh ih buk baktiah oh; lok tahngai ai zae sakhaih to kazit hmuen ah a phawh moe, angthawk let thaih han ai ah, amtim tih.
Stagger greatly doth the land as a drunkard, And it hath been moved as a lodge, And heavy on it hath been its transgression, And it hath fallen, and addeth not to rise.
21 To na niah Angraeng mah, van nui ih thacak misatuh kaminawk to thuitaek ueloe, long nuiah kaom siangpahrangnawk doeh thuitaek tih.
And it hath come to pass, in that day, Jehovah layeth a charge on the host of the high place in the high place, And on the kings of the land on the land.
22 Thongkrah kaminawk loe long thung ih thongim ah nawnto amkhueng o baktih toengah, amkhueng o tih; thongim thungah pakhrah o ueloe, ani akra parai pacoengah thuitaekhaih to om tih.
And they have been gathered — A gathering of bound ones in a pit, And shut up they have been in a prison, And after a multitude of days are inspected.
23 Khrah loe anghmang sut ueloe, ni doeh azathaih tong tih; misatuh kaminawk ih Angraeng mah Zion mae hoiah Jerusalem vangpui uk naah loe, angmah ih kacoehtanawk hmaa ah lensawkhaih hoiah om o tih boeh.
And confounded hath been the moon, And ashamed hath been the sun, For reigned hath Jehovah of Hosts In mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, And over-against His elders — honour!
