< Hosea 6 >
1 Angzo oh, Angraeng khaeah amlaem o si boeh; anih mah aicae ang taprawt pat boeh, toe anih mah aicae ngan na tuisak let tih.
Come, let us go back to the Lord; for he has given us wounds and he will make us well; he has given blows and he will give help.
2 Ni hnetto pacoengah, anih mah aicae hingsak let tih; ni thumto naah anih mah aicae to pathawk let tih, to naah aicae loe angmah hmaa ah a hing o tih boeh.
After two days he will give us life, and on the third day he will make us get up, and we will be living before him.
3 Angraeng panoekhaih to patom o si loe, anih to panoek o si. Anih loe akhawnbang ih ni baktiah om tih; kho kangzo baktiah anih loe aicae khaeah angzo tih; anih loe hnukkhuem koek khotui hoi hmaloe koek khotui baktiah long ah angzo tih.
And let us have knowledge, let us go after the knowledge of the Lord; his going out is certain as the dawn, his decisions go out like the light; he will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.
4 Aw Ephraim nang, kawbang maw kang sak han? Aw Judah nang, kawbang maw kang naa han? Na hoihhaih loe akhawnbang ih tamai baktiah oh moe, akhawnbang ah amzawt king dantui baktiah ni oh.
O Ephraim, what am I to do to you? O Judah, what am I to do to you? For your love is like a morning cloud, and like the dew which goes early away.
5 To pongah tahmaanawk mah thuih o ih loknawk hoiah nihcae to ka takroek boeh moe, ka pakha thung ih loknawk hoiah nihcae to ka hum boeh; na lokcaekhaih to tangphrapuek baktiah kam phasak.
So I have had it cut in stones; I gave them teaching by the words of my mouth;
6 Angbawnhaih ka koeh ai, palungnathaih ni ka koeh; hmai angbawnhaih pongah Sithaw panoekhaih to ka koeh kue.
Because my desire is for mercy and not offerings; for the knowledge of God more than for burned offerings.
7 Toe nihcae loe kami baktiah sak ih lokmaihaih to aek o; nihcae loe kai khaeah oepthok ah khosah o ai.
But like a man, they have gone against the agreement; there they were false to me.
8 Gilead loe kami kasaenawk ih vangpui ah oh moe, kami thii hoiah amhnong o sak boeh.
Gilead is a town of evil-doers, marked with blood.
9 Mingcahnawk mah kami angang o duem baktih toengah, qaimanawk doeh Shekem caehhaih loklam ah hum o; tangtang ni nihcae loe panuet thok zaehaih to ni a sak o.
And like a band of thieves waiting for a man, so are the priests watching secretly the way of those going quickly to Shechem, for they are working with an evil design.
10 Israel imthung takoh ah zit kaom hmuen to ka hnuk boeh: Ephraim loe tangzat zawhhaih bangah angpaek moe, Israel loe amhnong boeh.
In Israel I have seen a very evil thing; there false ways are seen in Ephraim, Israel is unclean;
11 Aw Judah, misong ah ohhaih thung hoiah kaimah ih kaminawk ka loihsak let naah loe, nang han khaeh ih cang aahhaih atue ah doeh oh.
And Judah has put up disgusting images for himself.
