< Hebru 3 >

1 To pongah, van hoi kawkhaih thungah kathum, kaciim nawkamyanawk, Patoeh ih kami hoi a taphong o ih kalen koek qaima, Kri Jesu to poek oh;
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,
2 Mosi loe Sithaw imthung boih ah oepthok kami ah oh, to baktih toengah Anih doeh angmah han tok Paekkung khaeah oepthok ah oh.
who is faithful to him that appointed him, as Moses also was faithful in all his house.
3 Im pongah loe im sah kami to pakoeh han oh kue baktih toengah, Mosi pongah loe Jesu to pakoeh kue han krak.
For this man is counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has builded the house, has more honor than the house.
4 Kami maeto mah im to sak; toe Sithaw loe hmuennawk boih sahkung ah oh.
For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.
5 Mosi loe Anih ih imthung ah oep kathok tamna ah oh moe, hmabang ah taphong han koi loknawk to Sithaw kaminawk khaeah a thuih pae.
And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, to bear testimony to those things which were to be spoken afterward;
6 Toe Kri loe angmah ih imthung ah capa ah oh; aicae doeh zithaih tawn ai ah boeng khoek to oephaih to anghoehaih hoiah kacakah a patawnh o poe nahaeloe, to imthung ih kami ah a om o tih.
but Christ, as a Son over his own house; whose house we are, if we hold the confidence and the joy of our hope firm to the end.
7 To pongah (Kacai Muithla mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah, Vaihniah a lok na thaih o nahaeloe,
Wherefore, as the Holy Spirit says: To-day, if you will hear his voice,
8 praezaek ah kaom tanoekhaih niah, lokaek kaminawk baktiah, nangcae mah palung thah o sak hmah;
harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation, in the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 toah nangcae ampanawk mah kai ang tanoek o moe, saning quipalito thung ka toksakhaih to hnuk o boeh.
where your fathers tried me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 To pongah to kaminawk nuiah palung ka phui, Nihcae loe kasae hmuen ni a poek o tuektuek, nihcae loe kai ih loklam to panoek o ai.
Where fore, I was angry with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11 To pongah nihcae loe kang hakhaih thungah akun o thai mak ai, tiah palungphuihaih hoiah kasae lokkamhaih to ka sak, tiah thuih.)
so that I swore in my anger, They shall not enter into my rest.
12 Nawkamyanawk, nangcae thung ih mi kawbaktih mah doeh kahing Sithaw to caehtaak moe, tang han koeh ai ih kasae palungthin na tawnh o han ai ah, acoe oh.
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in apostatizing from the living God.
13 Vaihni, tiah kawk ih atue ah, maeto hoi maeto ni thokkruek tha angpaek oh; to tih ai nahaeloe zae sak han alinghaih mah nangcae ih palungthin amtaaksak moeng tih.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To-day, lest any of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Tangsuek ih tanghaih to boeng khoek to oephaih hoiah kacakah a patawnh o nahaeloe, Kri tawn kami ah a om o tih;
For we are partakers of the Christ, if we hold our begun confidence firm to the end;
15 cabu mah, Vaihniah a lok na thaih o nahaeloe, lokaekhaih dung ih baktiah, na palungthin amtaak o sak hmah, tiah thuih.
while it is said, To-day, if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the bitter provocation.
16 Lok thaih pacoengah aek kaminawk loe mi aa? Nihcae loe Izip prae thung hoi angzo Mosi mah hoih ih kaminawk na ai maw?
For some, when they had heard, did bitterly provoke; yet, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 Mi mah maw saning quipalito thung Sithaw palungphui sak? Zaehaih sak pongah praezaek ah kadueh kaminawk mah na ai maw palung phuisak?
But with whom was he angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
18 Nihcae loe Anih anghakhaih thungah akun o thai mak ai, tiah mi khaeah maw Sithaw mah kasae lokkamhaih to sak, katang ai kaminawk khaeah na ai maw a sak?
But to whom did he swear that they should not enter into his rest, but to those who believed not?
19 Tang o ai pongah nihcae loe a thungah akun o thai mak ai, tito a panoek o.
And so we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
