< Ezekiel 7 >

1 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
A message from the Lord came to me, saying,
2 kami capa, Angraeng Sithaw mah Israel kawng pongah, Boenghaih ah oh boeh, long takii ahmuen palito nuiah boenghaih to phak boeh.
“Son of man, this is what the Lord God says to the people living in Israel: The end is here! The end has arrived throughout the country.
3 Boenghaih loe vaihi nangcae nuiah phak boeh, nangcae nuiah palungphuihaih kang patoeh han, na caeh o ih loklam baktih toengah lok kang caek o moe, na sak o ih panuet kathok hmuennawk nuiah lu kang lak han.
Now is the end for you! I'm going to direct my anger against you. I'm judging you for your actions and will pay you back for the offensive things you've done.
I won't have any pity for you, or show you any mercy. I'm going to punish you for what you've done, for your disgusting sins. Then you'll know that I am the Lord.
5 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, Sethaih maeto, kaom vai ai sethaih maeto phak boeh.
This is what the Lord God says: Watch out! Disaster after disaster is coming!
6 Boenghaih phak boeh, boenghaih to phak boeh; khenah, nang to ang zing moe, angzoh boeh.
The end is here! The end has come, and it's coming for you! Watch out! This is the end!
7 Aw prae thungah kaom kaminawk, akhawnbang atue loe nangcae khaeah phak boeh; atue to phak boeh, khosak binghaih ni loe zoi boeh; oephaih lok na ai, mae nuiah tasoeh takuenhaih to pha tih boeh.
You people living in the land, the consequences of your actions have come full circle. The time has come, the day is near— shouts of panic on the mountains and not shouts of joy.
8 Akra ai ah palungphuihaih to nangcae nuiah ka kraih han, kho na sak o ih loklam baktih toengah lok kang caek moe, panuet thok na sak o ih hmuennawk boih nuiah lu kang lak o han boeh.
Very shortly I'm going to show you how angry I am with you. I will judge you by what you have done, and punish you for all your disgusting sins.
9 Kang paquem o mak ai, tahmen doeh kang tahmen o mak ai; kho na sak o haih tuinuen hoi nangmacae salakah kaom na sak o ih panuet thok hmuennawk baktih toengah lu kang lak o han; to naah Angraeng, Kai mah danpaek boeh, tiah na panoek o tih.
I won't have any pity for you or show you any mercy. I'm going to punish you for what you've done, for your disgusting sins. Then you will know that it is I, the Lord, who is attacking you.
10 To nito khenah, ani loe angzoh boeh! Khosak binghaih to tacawt boeh; cunghet loe apawk pawk boeh moe, amoekhaih doeh tadok tacawt boeh.
Can't you see? The day is here! It has arrived! The consequences of your actions have come full circle—the walking stick has blossomed, pride has come into full bloom.
11 Sethaih cunghet pongah patangkhanghaih to tacawt tahang boeh; pop parai mi kawbaktih doeh anghmat mak ai; nihcae qah haih kami mi doeh om mak ai.
Their way of violence has turned into a rod to punish them for their wickedness. None of them will survive—none of that whole crowd, and none of their wealth or honor.
12 Atue loe angzoh boeh, ani doeh anghnai boeh; hmuenmae qan kami loe oephaih tawn hmah nasoe loe, hmuen zaw kami doeh palungsae hmah nasoe; pop parai kami nuiah palungphuihaih to oh boeh.
The time has come; the day is here! Buyers, don't celebrate thinking you'll get a good deal; sellers, don't cry thinking you're going to make a loss—because punishment is coming to everyone.
13 Hmuenmae zaw kami loe hing, toe a zawh ih hmuen pakut let mak ai; rangpui hoi kasaeng hnuksakhaih loe amkhrai mak ai; zaehaih ah hing kami loe mi doeh kacakah angdoe thai mak ai.
Sellers won't ever get back the purchase price while they're still alive. I'm not going to change the plan I have revealed that applies to everyone. People who go on sinning won't survive.
14 Mongkah to uengh o moe, misatuk hanah amsak o, toe palung ka phuihaih rangpui nuiah oh pongah, mi doeh misatuk han caeh o ai.
Even though the trumpet call to arms has sounded, even though all the preparations have been made, no one is ready to fight, because I am angry with everyone.
15 Tasa bangah sumsen to oh moe, athung bangah kasae nathaih hoi khokhahaih to oh; azawn ah kaom kaminawk loe sumsen hoiah dueh o ueloe, vangpui thungah kaom kaminawk loe kasae nathaih hoi khokhahaih mah paduek tih.
Outside the city are armed attacks; inside are disease and starvation. Those in the countryside will be killed by the sword, and those in the city will be destroyed by starvation and disease.
16 Toe kaloih kaminawk loe loih o pacoeng naah, angmacae zaehaih pongah mae nuiah om o ueloe, kami boih azawn ih pahuu baktiah oi o tih.
Those who do survive will escape and go to live in the mountains. They will sigh like the doves of the valley, each person thinking about their own sins.
17 Nihcae ih ban thazok boih ueloe, khokkhu doeh tha om mak ai tui baktiah ni om tih.
Every hand will go limp, and every knee will go weak.
18 Nihcae loe palungset hoiah kazii to angzaeng o tih, toe misa zithaih mah pazawk tih; mikhmai sae o ueloe, lu sam aat o boih tih.
They will put on clothes made of sackcloth, and they will be totally terrified. They will all be ashamed and shave their heads in mourning.
19 Sum kanglung to loklamnawk ah va o ueloe, suinawk doeh ciimcai ai hmuen baktiah poek o tih; Angraeng palungphuihaih niah loe angmacae ih sui hoi sumkanglung mah nihcae to pahlong thai mak ai; a koeh o haih to koep thai mak ai ueloe, zok doeh amhah o mak ai; to hmuennawk loe nihcae zaehaih thungah amtimsakkung ah oh.
They will throw away their silver in the streets and treat their gold as if it's something unclean. Their silver and gold won't be able to save them when the day of the Lord's anger comes. Their money won't satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs. In fact this was the problem that caused their sin in the first place.
20 Nihcae loe kahoih khukbuen hoiah amoek o moe, panuet thok krang hoi panuet kaom hmuennawk to a sak o; to pongah to baktih hmuennawk to ciimcai ai hmuen ah ka paqoi pae ving.
They were so proud of their beautiful jewelry that they used it to make their disgusting images and decorate their offensive idols. So I'm going to turn these idols into unclean things for them.
21 Prae kalah kaminawk mah, nihcae ih hmuen to paro pae o tih; kasae poekhaih katawn kaminawk hanah to hmuennawk to ka paek han, nihcae mah amhnong o sak tih.
I'm going to hand these things over as plunder to foreigners and as loot to the wicked people of the earth, who will make them unclean.
22 Nihcae to kang qoi taak han, to naah nihcae mah kai ih hmuenciim to amhnong o sak tih; mingcahnawk a thungah akun o ueloe, amhnong o sak tih.
I will look away as they make my precious place unclean. Men of violence will enter and make it unclean.
23 Prae loe athii longhaih hoiah koi moe, vangpui doeh pacaekthlaekhaih hoiah koi pongah, sumqui to sah o coek ah.
Get the chains ready, because the country is full of blood being spilled by violent crimes, and the city itself is full of violence.
24 Sithaw panoek ai kasae koek kaminawk to ka hoih han, to kaminawk mah nihcae ih im to la o tih; thacak nihcae amoekhaih to ka boengsak moe, nihcae ih hmuenciimnawk doeh kam hnongsak han.
So I'm going to bring the most evil of all the nations to take over their houses. I will put an end to the pride of the powerful, and their holy places will be made unclean.
25 Amrohaih phak boeh; nihcae mah monghaih pakrong o tih, toe naa ah doeh monghaih to om mak ai.
Absolutely terrified, the people will look for peace, but won't find it.
26 Khosak sethaih nuiah khosak sethaih to om ueloe, tamthang nuiah tamthang to om tih; to naah tahmaa khaeah hnuksak ih hmuen to pakrong o tih; qaima mah ka thuih ih lok to patuk mak ai boeh, kacoehtanawk mah thuitaek ih lok doeh om mak ai boeh.
Disaster after disaster will come down on them, and rumor after rumor. They will ask for a vision from a prophet, but there won't be any, and there won't be any instructions from the priests or advice from the elders either.
27 Siangpahrang loe oi ueloe, siangpahrang capa doeh palung boenghaih mah kraeng hmoek tih, prae kaminawk ih ban doeh tasoeh tih. Angmacae khosakhaih tuinuen baktih toengah ka sak pathok moe, angmacae hoi kating ah lok ka caek han; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah panoek o tih, tiah a thuih.
The king will mourn, the prince will be devastated, and no one in the country will know what to do. I will do to them as they have done to others; I will judge them as they have judged others. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
