< Ezekiel 36 >

1 Kami capa, Israel maenawk khaeah lokthui ah, hae tiah thui ah, Nangcae Israel ih maenawk, Angraeng ih lok hae tahngai oh,
“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say: Mountains of Israel, listen to this message from the Lord.
2 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Na misanawk mah, “Ha, ha, canghnii ih hmuensangnawk loe kaicae han ni oh boeh, tiah a thuih o pongah;
This is what the Lord God says: The enemy said about you, ‘Aha! These old high places now belong to us,’
3 lok to taphong ah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Nangcae loe anghmat Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk ih qawk ah na oh o thai hanah, nihcae mah ang paro o moe, ahnuk ahma bang hoiah ang caak o, minawk mah kasae thui ih kami ah na oh o, tiah thuih:
so you must prophesy and announce that this is what the Lord God says: They have turned you into a wasteland, attacking you from every direction, so that you became the property of other nations and people gossiped about you and slandered you.
4 to pongah aw Israel maenawk, Angraeng Sithaw ih lok hae tahngai oh; Angraeng Sithaw mah, maenawk, maesomnawk, vapuinawk, tahawtnawk to pong sut ueloe, azawn taengah kaom Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah pahnui thui ih angqai krang vangpui ah om tih boeh, tiah thuih.
So now, mountains of Israel, listen to the message from the Lord God. This is what the Lord God says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the deserted ruins and abandoned towns, that the other nations around you have looted and mocked.
5 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Poek nawmhaih hoi kai ih prae lomh moe, uthaih palung hoi angmacae ih qawk baktiah kala, anghmat Sithaw panoek ai prae kaminawk hoi Edumea kaminawk boih khaeah hmai baktih amngaeh palungphuihaih hoiah misa suekhaih lok to ka taphong tangtang boeh, tiah thuih.
Yes, this is what the Lord God says: I have spoken passionately against these other nations, and against all the Edomites, who took over my country and made it theirs, happily celebrating as they looted the land and treated me with complete contempt.
6 To pongah Israel prae kawng ah, maenawk, maesomnawk, vapuinawk, longhawhnawk khaeah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk ih pacaekthlaekhaih to na tongh o hmoek boeh pongah, paroeai palungphuihaih, uthaih hoiah lok ka thuih boeh, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
So prophesy concerning the country of Israel and tell the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, that this is what the Lord God says: Just watch, for I have spoken passionately about this because you have had to put up with this mockery from other nations.
7 To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Nangcae taengah kaom Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk loe angmacae azathaih to zok o tih, tiah ban phokhaih hoiah lok ka kam boeh.
This is what the Lord God says: I hold up my hand and swear that the other nations around you will suffer their own shame.
8 Toe nangcae, Aw Israel maenawk, tanghang to na cawn o ueloe, kai ih Israel kaminawk hanah athaih na thai pae o tih, nihcae loe angzoh o tom boeh.
But you, mountains of Israel, will grow trees that will produce fruit for my people Israel, for soon they'll be coming home.
9 Khenah, kai loe nangcae hanah ka oh, nangcae khaeah kam laem let moe, nangcae nuiah laikok atok pacoengah, aanmu to ka haeh han.
Look, I am for you and I will help you. Your land will be ploughed, and crops will be sown.
10 Nangcae nui hoi Israel imthung takohnawk boih nuiah kami ka pungsak han; vangpuinawk thungah kami om ueloe, kamro hmuennawk to sak let ah om tih.
You will support the people of Israel as they return and grow in number. People will live in the towns again and rebuild the ruins.
11 Nangcae nuiah kami hoi moinawk ka pungsak han, nihcae loe pung o ueloe, caa sah o tih; nangcae loe na oh o haih ahmuen kangquem ah kang suek han, to naah nangcae loe hnukbang khosakhaih pongah khosak na hoih o kue tih; to naah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah na panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
The number of your people will grow— they will have many children. The animals too will have many young. I will make sure that you're inhabited just as you used to be, and I will make you more prosperous that you were before. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
12 Ue, nangcae nuiah kaimah ih kami, Israelnawk to kam kaehsak han; nihcae mah na la o ueloe, nihcae ih qawk ah na om o tih, nangcae loe nihcae ih caa anghmasak kami ah na om o mak ai boeh.
I will have my people Israel walk on you mountains. You will be theirs; you will belong to them, and you will no longer rob your nation of their children.
13 Angraeng Sithaw mah hae tiah thuih; kaminawk mah nang khaeah, nang, long loe kaminawk to na caak moe, a caanawk doeh nam rosak, tiah thuih o;
This is what the Lord God says: Because people say to you, ‘You eat people, and rob your nation of their children,’
14 to pongah kami to na caa mak ai boeh, acaeng kaminawk doeh nam rosak mak ai boeh.
from now on you won't eat people or rob your nation of their children, declares the Lord God.
15 Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah pahnui thuihaih om mak ai boeh, kaminawk mah kasae thuihaih doeh kang tongh sak mak ai ueloe, na prae kaminawk doeh amtim o sak mak ai boeh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
I'm going to stop these nations insulting you, and you won't have to put up with their taunts any more, or make the nation fall, declares the Lord God.”
16 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
Another message from Lord came to me, saying,
17 kami capa, Israel kaminawk angmacae prae thungah oh o naah, angmacae koeh baktiah sak o ih tuinuen hoi hmuennawk mah prae to amhnongsak boeh; nihcae ih tuinuen loe nongpata mah khrah kruek hnuk ih kaciim ai hmuen baktiah ni oh.
“Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their country, they made it unclean by the way they behaved, by what they did. The way they were behaving in my presence was like the ceremonial uncleanness of a woman's period.
18 To pongah prae thungah athii to long o sak moe, krang sakhaih rang hoiah prae to panuet thok ah a sak o pongah, nihcae nuiah palungphuihaih ka kraih thuih boeh.
So I became angry with them because of murders they committed in the country, and because they made it unclean by worshiping idols.
19 Nihcae to Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah kam hetsak moe, prae kruekah ka proengsak; a sak o ih tuinuen hoi hmuennawk baktih toengah, nihcae to lok ka caek.
I scattered them among the different nations and countries. I judged them according to the way they had behaved and what they did.
20 Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah a caeh o naah, Hae kaminawk loe Sithaw ih kami ah oh o, nihcae loe angmacae prae thung hoiah tacawt o boeh, tiah kaminawk mah thuih o.
But wherever they went among the nations, they ruined my reputation, because people said about them, ‘These are the Lord's people, but they had to leave his country.’
21 Toe Israel imthung takoh loe caehhaih ahmuen kruek, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah kai ahmin kasae a thuih o pongah, kaimah ih kaciim ahmin to ka tahmenh.
So I had to take care of my reputation for holiness which the people of Israel had ruined among the nations where they'd gone.
22 To pongah Israel imthung takoh khaeah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Aw Israel imthung takoh, hae hmuen hae nang hanah ka sah mak ai, na caeh o haih ahmuen kruek ih Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah kasae na thuih o ih, kaciim ka hmin han ih ni ka sak.
Tell the people of Israel that this is what the Lord God says: I'm not doing this for you, people of Israel, but for my reputation for holiness, which you ruined among the nations where you went.
23 Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah kasae na thuih o ih kalen, Kaimah ih ahmin to kam tuengsak han; nangcae rang hoiah ka ciimhaih nihcae hmaa ah kam tuengsak naah, Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tito panoek o tih, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
I will reveal the holy nature and importance of my reputation, which has been ruined among the nations, the reputation you have ruined among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when I reveal my holiness through you as they watch.
24 Nangcae to Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk thung hoiah kang hoih o han, prae thung boih hoiah kang tacuu o moe, na prae thungah kang caeh o haih let han.
For I will bring you back from among the nations, gathering you from all the different countries, and I will lead you back into your own country.
25 Nangcae nuiah kaciim tui to kang pathaek han, to naah loe na ciimcai o tih boeh; nam hnong o haih hoi krang na bok o haih thung hoiah kang pasaeh o han.
I will also pour pure water over you, and you will be clean. I will wash you clean from all your uncleanness and from all your idols.
26 Kangtha palungthin to kang paek o moe, nangcae thungah kangtha pakhra to ka suek han; thlung baktih kamtaak palungthin to na ngan thung hoiah ka lak moe, angan kaom palungthin to kang paek han.
I will give you a new mind and I will put a new spirit inside you. I will take away your stubborn mind and I will give you a loving mind.
27 Nangcae thungah kaimah ih Muithla to ka suek moe, ka paek ih loknawk to ka pazuisak han; to naah ka lokcaekhaih to na pakuem o ueloe, na sah o tih boeh.
I will put my Spirit inside you so you will follow my laws and remember to do what I tell you.
28 Nam panawk khaeah ka paek ih prae thungah na om o tih; nangcae loe Kai ih kami ah na om o ueloe, Kai doeh nangcae ih Sithaw ah ka om tih.
Then you will live in the country I gave to your forefathers. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
29 Ciimcai ai hmuennawk boih thung hoiah kang pahlong o han; cang to ka kawk moe, paroeai ka pungsak han, nangcae nuiah khokhahaih om mak ai boeh.
I will save you from everything that makes you unclean. I will make sure you have plenty of grain. I won't send you any famines.
30 Thingthai qumpo to ka pungsak moe, lawk ih aannawk doeh ka pungsak han, to naah khokhahaih pongah Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk salakah ahminsethaih na tawn o mak ai boeh.
I will also make sure you have good harvests from your orchards and fields, so that you won't be mocked by other nations anymore because of famine.
31 To naah na sak ih tuinuen sethaih hoi kahoih ai hmuennawk to na panoek tih, na sak ih zaehaih hoi panuet thok hmuennawk pongah nangmah hoi nangmah to nam nuet tih boeh.
Then you will remember your evil ways and terrible things you've done, and you'll hate yourselves for your sins and disgusting actions.
32 Hae hmuen hae nangcae hanah ka sah ai, tito panoek oh, Aw Israel imthung takoh, na sak o ih hmuennawk pongah azat oh loe, ahminsethaih hoiah om oh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
You need to realize that I'm not doing this for your sake, declares the Lord God. You should be ashamed and embarrassed for what you've done, people of Israel!
33 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Na zaehaihnawk boih ka pasaeh moe, kamro hmuennawk to ka sak let naah loe, vangpui thungah kang ohsak han.
This is what the Lord God says: On the day I make you clean from all your sins, I will have you live in your towns again and make sure the ruins are rebuilt.
34 A taengah caeh tathuk caeh tahang kaminawk mikhnuk ah kapong sut ahmuen to laikok atokhaih ahmuen ah om let tih boeh.
The land that was deserted will be cultivated again instead of looking abandoned to everyone passing by.
35 Nihcae mah, Hae ih kapong sut ahmuen loe Eden takha baktiah oh boeh; angqai krangah kaom, kapong sut moe, amro vangpuinawk doeh sipae to thungh o moe, kaminawk khosak o boeh, tiah thui o tih.
Then they will say, ‘This deserted land is now like the garden of Eden. The towns that were demolished, abandoned, and destroyed have been restored and strengthened, and people are living in them.’
36 To naah nangcae taengah kaom Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah, Kai Angraeng mah ni, kamro ahmuennawk to sak let moe, kapong sut ahmuen ah laikok atok let, Kai Angraeng loe thuih ih lok baktiah sak, tito panoek o tih.
Then those nations around you that are left will acknowledge that I, the Lord, have rebuilt what was demolished, and that I have replanted what was destroyed. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will carry it out.
37 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Hae hmuen sak hanah Israel imthung takoh mah na hni o tih; nihcae loe tuu baktiah ka pungsak han.
This is what the Lord God says: I will once again answer the prayers of the people of Israel. This is what I will do for them: I will have them increase in number like a flock.
38 Canghnii ah Jerusalem loe poihsak naah boh han ih kaciim tuunawk hoiah koi mong baktih toengah, kamro vangpuinawk doeh kami hoiah koi o tih; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tito panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
Just like all the many flocks that are brought to Jerusalem to be sacrificed during the religious festivals, so the towns that were once demolished will be full of flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
