< Ezekiel 34 >

1 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
2 kami capa, Israel tuu toepkungnawk misa haih lok to taphong ah; lok to taphong ah loe, nihcae khaeah, Angraeng Sithaw mah tuu toep kamkinawk khaeah, Angmacae khue khenzawn Israel tuu toep kaminawk, khosak na bing o! Tuu toep kaminawk loe angmah ih tuunawk to pacah mak ai maw?
“Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Woe to the shepherds of Israel, who only feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed their flock?
3 Nangcae loe tahnutui na naek o, tuumui to nang khuk o moe, kathawk koek moinawk to na boh o, toe tuunawk to na khenzawn o ai.
You eat the fat, wear the wool, and butcher the fattened sheep, but you do not feed the flock.
4 Thazok kaminawk to tha na paek o ai, nganna kaminawk ngan na tui o sak ai moe, ahmaa caa kaminawk ahmaa na kom pae o ai; loklam amkhraeng kaminawk na hoi o let ai moe, anghmaa kaminawk to na pakrong o ai; toe nihcae to tha patohhaih hoiah na uk o.
You have not strengthened the weak, healed the sick, bound up the injured, brought back the strays, or searched for the lost. Instead, you have ruled them with violence and cruelty.
5 Tuu toep kami om ai pongah tuunawk loe amkhraeng o boih boeh; amkhraeng o phang naah, moi kasannawk ih rawkcak ah ang coeng o.
They were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and when they were scattered they became food for all the wild beasts.
6 Kai ih tuunawk loe mae hoi maesomnawk ah avah o boih boeh. Long pum ah avah o, mi mah doeh pakrong o ai, tiah thuih.
My flock went astray on all the mountains and every high hill. They were scattered over the face of all the earth, with no one to search for them or seek them out.’
7 To pongah, nangcae tuu toep kaminawk, Angraeng ih lok hae tahngai oh;
Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD:
8 kai ka hing baktih toengah, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Tuu toep kami om ai, kai ih tuu toep kaminawk loe kai ih tuu to pakrong o ai, kai ih tuu to pacah o ai, angmah hoi angmah to amcah lat pongah, kai ih tuunawk loe hum han ah oh o moe, taw ih moi kasannawk rawkcak ah angcoeng o boih boeh, tiah thuih.
‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, because My flock lacks a shepherd and has become prey and food for every wild beast, and because My shepherds did not search for My flock but fed themselves instead,
9 To pongah Aw tuu toep kaminawk, Angraeng ih lok hae tahngai oh,
therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD!’
10 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, tuu toep kaminawk to misa kang thawk thuih han, nihcae khaeah kaimah ih tuu kawng to ka thuih han, tuu toep kaminawk mah angmacae ih zok angkok o thaih han ai ah, tuu pacahhaih kang haksak han; nihcae pakha thung hoiah kaimah ih tuunawk to ka pahlong han, to naah ka tuunawk loe nihcae ih buh ah om o mak ai boeh, tiah thuih.
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will demand from them My flock and remove them from tending the flock, so that they can no longer feed themselves. For I will deliver My flock from their mouths, and it will no longer be food for them.’
11 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, kaimah ih tuunawk to kaimah roe ka pakrong moe, ka toep han boeh.
For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I Myself will search for My flock and seek them out.
12 Tuu toepkung loe athun naah amhet phang tuunawk taengah oh thuih moe, a toep baktih toengah kaimah ih tuunawk to ka toep han; Tamai hoi khoving thungah amhet o haih ahmuen kruek hoiah nihcae to ka pahlong han.
As a shepherd looks for his scattered sheep when he is among the flock, so I will look for My flock. I will rescue them from all the places to which they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness.
13 Nihcae to kaminawk salak hoiah ka hoih han, praenawk thung hoiah ka huih cuu moe, angmacae prae thungah ka caeh haih han; nihcae to Israel maenawk nuiah, vapuinawk taeng hoi prae thung ih ohhaih ahmuen boih ah ka pacah han boeh.
I will bring them out from the peoples, gather them from the countries, and bring them into their own land. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines, and in all the settlements of the land.
14 Nihcae to kahoih qam ahmuen ah ka pacah han, nihcae ih takha loe Israel maesangnawk nuiah om tih; nihcae loe Israel maenawk nui ih kahoih takha thungah tabok o ueloe, caaknaek kahoih to caa o tih, tiah thuih.
I will feed them in good pasture, and the lofty mountains of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in a good grazing land; they will feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.
15 Kaimah ih tuunawk to kaimah roe ka pacah moe, ka taboksak han, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
I will tend My flock and make them lie down, declares the Lord GOD.
16 Kanghmaa tuu to ka pakrong moe, loklam amkhraeng tuu to ka zaeh let han, ahmaa caa tuu to ahmaa ka komh pae moe, thacak ai tuu to tha ka caksak han; toe kathawk hruk moe, thacak tuu loe ka hum han; tuunawk to toenghaih hoiah ka sak han.
I will seek the lost, bring back the strays, bind up the broken, and strengthen the weak; but the sleek and strong I will destroy. I will shepherd them with justice.’
17 Nangcae hanah loe, Aw kai ih tuunawk, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, tuu maeto hoi maeto salak, tuu taenawk hoi maeh taenawk salakah lok ka takroek han.
This is what the Lord GOD says to you, My flock: ‘I will judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and the goats.
18 Nangcae mah kahoih qam to na caak o khue ai ah, kanghmat qam doeh na cawh o han vop maw? Tui kaciim naek khue khawt ai ah tui kaciim to na cawh o han vop maw?
Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of the pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink the clear waters? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet?
19 Kai ih tuunawk mah na cawh o ih qam to caa o ueloe, nam nuu o sak ih tui to nae o tih maw? tiah thuih.
Why must My flock feed on what your feet have trampled, and drink what your feet have muddied?’
20 To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, tuu kathawk hoi tuu kazaek to ka tapraek han.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says to them: ‘Behold, I Myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.
21 Nangcae loe thazok tuunawk to ahmuen kruekah amhetsak hanah, panak hoiah maw, palaeng hoiah maw na et o moe, takii hoiah na tanawt o;
Since you shove with flank and shoulder, butting all the weak ones with your horns until you have scattered them abroad,
22 to pongah kaimah ih tuunawk to ka pahlong han, nihcae loe hum han ih tuu ah om o mak ai boeh; tuu maeto hoi maeto ka tapraek han.
I will save My flock, and they will no longer be prey. I will judge between one sheep and another.
23 Nihcae nuiah tuu toepkung maeto ka suek han, anih mah tuunawk to pacah tih, ka tamna David loe tuu toep kami ah om ueloe, tuunawk to pacah tih, tiah thuih.
I will appoint over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them. He will feed them and be their shepherd.
24 Kai Angraeng loe nihcae ih Sithaw ah ka oh han, ka tamna David loe nihcae salakah siangpahrang capa ah om tih; Kai Angraeng mah thuih boeh.
I, the LORD, will be their God, and My servant David will be a prince among them. I, the LORD, have spoken.
25 Nihcae hoi angdaeh lokkamhaih to ka sak han, moi kasannawk to prae thung hoiah ka huih boih han; to naah tuunawk loe praezaek ah om o ueloe, taw thungah kamong ah pra o tih boeh.
I will make with them a covenant of peace and rid the land of wild animals, so that they may dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the forest.
26 Nihcae hoi kaimah ih maesom taengnawk boih tahamhoihaih ka paek han; atue phak naah kho kang zohsak han, to naah tahamhoihaih khotui to om tih.
I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season—showers of blessing.
27 Lawk ih thingkungnawk mah thingthai athai tih, long mah doeh aannawk to tacawtsak tih; prae kaminawk doeh monghaih hoiah khosah o tih; nihcae mah phawh ih hnam to ka petsak moe, misong ah omsak kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah ka pahlong naah, nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah panoek o tih.
The trees of the field will give their fruit, and the land will yield its produce; My flock will be secure in their land. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and delivered them from the hands that enslaved them.
28 Nihcae loe Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah hum han ih om o mak ai boeh, prae thung ih moi kasannawk mah doeh kaek o mak ai boeh; toe kamong ah om o ueloe, mi mah doeh pazih o mak ai boeh.
They will no longer be prey for the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not consume them. They will dwell securely, and no one will frighten them.
29 Nihcae hanah ahmin kamthang takha to ka sak pae han, prae thungah khokhahaih om mak ai boeh; Sithaw panoek ai kaminawk mah kasae thuihaih doeh om let mak ai boeh.
And I will raise up for them a garden of renown, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land or bear the scorn of the nations.
30 To naah nihcae mah, nihcae ih Angraeng Sithaw, Kai loe nihcae hoi nawnto ka oh, Israel imthung takoh loe kai ih kami ah oh o, tiah panoek o tih, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
Then they will know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are My people,’ declares the Lord GOD.
31 Tuu ka pacahaih ahmuen ah kaom, kai ih tuunawk, nangcae loe kami ah ni na oh o; Kai loe nangcae ih Sithaw ah ka oh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang thuih.
‘You are My flock, the sheep of My pasture, My people, and I am your God,’ declares the Lord GOD.”
