In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,

“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.
3 Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, Izip siangpahrang Faro, nang loe vapuinawk thungah na oh moe, Kai ih vapui loe kai ih ni, kaimah ni kaimah hanah ka sak, tiah kathui pahui pui, nang to kang tuk han.
Speak and say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lies in the middle of his rivers, that has said, ‘My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.’
4 Toe na kamhuh ah cakoih hoi kang tathok moe, nangmah ih vapui thung ih tanganawk to nang ih ahin ah ka kapsak boih han; nangmah ih vapuinawk thung hoiah kang tathok tahang moe, nangmah ih vapuinawk thung ih tanganawk to nang ih ahin ah ka kapsak boih han.
I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will make the fish of your rivers stick to your scales. I will bring you up out of the middle of your rivers, with all the fish of your rivers which stick to your scales.
5 Nangmah hoi nangmah ih vapuinawk thung ih tanganawk to praezaek ah ka vah boih han; na tak loe long ah krah tih, mi mah doeh nang to la o mak ai, akhui o mak ai; nang loe taw ih moi kasannawk hoi van ih tavaanawk rawkcak ah ka paek boeh.
I’ll cast you out into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You’ll fall on the open field. You won’t be brought together or gathered. I have given you for food to the animals of the earth and to the birds of the sky.
6 To naah Izip kaminawk boih mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah panoek o tih; nihcae loe Israel kaminawk hanah sakrungkung hoiah sak ih cunghet ah oh o boeh.
“‘“All the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
7 Nihcae mah ban hoi ang patawnh o naah, na koih phaem moe, nihcae ih palaeng to na aah pae boih; nang khaeah amha o naah, na koih phaem moe, nihcae hnukbang ih kaeng to na thunh pae, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
When they took hold of you by your hand, you broke and tore all their shoulders. When they leaned on you, you broke and paralysed all of their thighs.”
8 To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, nang khaeah sumsen ka sin moe, nang ih kami hoi pacah ih moinawk to ka hum han.
“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you.
9 Anih mah, Vapuinawk loe kai ih ni, kaimah ni ka sak, tiah thuih pongah, Izip prae loe amro ueloe, pong sut tih boeh; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah panoek o tih.
The land of Egypt will be a desolation and a waste. Then they will know that I am the LORD. “‘“Because he has said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it,’
10 Khenah, nang hoi nangmah ih vapuinawk to misa ah ka suek; Izip prae loe Migdol hoi Syene karoek to, Ethiopia prae ramri khoek to kam rosak moe, ka pongsak sut han.
therefore, behold, I am against you and against your rivers. I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even to the border of Ethiopia.
11 Kami khok hoi moi khok mah to prae to cawh mak ai, saning qui palito thung mi doeh to prae ah om mak ai.
No foot of man will pass through it, nor will any animal foot pass through it. It won’t be inhabited for forty years.
12 Kamro praenawk baktiah Izip prae doeh kam rosak han, Izip ih vangpuinawk loe pong sut vangpuinawk salakah saning qui palito thung amro tih; Izip kaminawk to prae kaminawk salakah kam hetsak moe, prae kruekah kang haehsak han, tiah thuih.
I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the middle of the countries that are desolate. Her cities amongst the cities that are laid waste will be a desolation forty years. I will scatter the Egyptians amongst the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.”
13 Toe Angraeng Sithaw mah, Saning qui palito boeng naah loe, amhet o phanghaih ahmuen kruek ih Izip kaminawk to ka pakhueng let han:
“‘For the Lord GOD says: “At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered.
14 misong ah naeh ih Izip kaminawk to ka zaeh let moe, angmacae ohhaih, Pathros prae ah kam laemsak let han; nihcae loe to ih thazok siangpahrang ukhaih prae ah om o tih.
I will reverse the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth. There they will be a lowly kingdom.
15 To prae loe siangpahrang ukhaih praenawk boih thungah thazok koek prae ah om tih, natuek naah doeh kalah praenawk nuiah amoek o mak ai boeh; nihcae mah kalah prae kaminawk uk han ai ah, tha ka zoksak han.
It will be the lowest of the kingdoms. It won’t lift itself up above the nations any more. I will diminish them so that they will no longer rule over the nations.
16 Izip loe Israel imthung takoh mah oep mak ai boeh, nihcae a khet o naah, angmacae sakpazaehaih amtuengsakkung ah om tih boeh; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng Sithaw ni, tiah panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
It will no longer be the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to memory, when they turn to look after them. Then they will know that I am the Lord GOD.”’”
17 Saning pumphae sarihto, khrah tangsuek haih, hmaloe koek niah, Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
It came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
18 kami capa, Babylon siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar mah Tura vangpui tuk hanah angmah ih misatuh kaminawk to misa angtukhaih ahmuen ah patoeh; to pongah misatuh kaminawk ih sam to angmuen boih moe, palaeng doeh angdui o boih boeh; toe siangpahrang angmah hoi anih ih misatuh kaminawk loe Tura vangpui misatukhaih atho tidoeh hnu o ai:
“Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet he had no wages, nor did his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it.
19 to pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, Izip to Babylon siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar khaeah ka paek han boeh; anih mah prae kaminawk hoi congca hmuenmaenawk to la ueloe, angmah ih misatuh kaminawk hanah misatukhaih atho ah paek tih, tiah thuih.
Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. He will carry off her multitude, take her plunder, and take her prey. That will be the wages for his army.
20 Kai ih tok a sak o pongah, Tura vangpui misatukhaih atho ah Izip prae to anih han ka paek boeh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
I have given him the land of Egypt as his payment for which he served, because they worked for me,’ says the Lord GOD.
21 To na niah loe Israel imthung takoh to takii ka tacawtsak moe, nihcae salakah pakha kang aangsak han; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tito panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
“In that day I will cause a horn to sprout for the house of Israel, and I will open your mouth amongst them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”
