< Ezekiel 29 >
1 Saning hato, khrah hato haih, ni hathlai hnetto na niah, Angraeng ih lok to kai khaeah angzoh,
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, came the word of the Lord unto me, saying,
2 kami capa, Izip siangpahrang Faro khaeah angqoi ah loe, anih hoi Izip prae kaminawk boih misa haih lok to taphong ah:
Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt.
Speak and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against thee, O Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great crocodile that lieth in the midst of his streams, who hath said, Mine is my stream, and I have made it for myself.
4 Toe na kamhuh ah cakoih hoi kang tathok moe, nangmah ih vapui thung ih tanganawk to nang ih ahin ah ka kapsak boih han; nangmah ih vapuinawk thung hoiah kang tathok tahang moe, nangmah ih vapuinawk thung ih tanganawk to nang ih ahin ah ka kapsak boih han.
But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will fasten the fish of thy streams on thy scales; and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy streams, with all the fish of thy streams which shall stick fast on thy scales.
5 Nangmah hoi nangmah ih vapuinawk thung ih tanganawk to praezaek ah ka vah boih han; na tak loe long ah krah tih, mi mah doeh nang to la o mak ai, akhui o mak ai; nang loe taw ih moi kasannawk hoi van ih tavaanawk rawkcak ah ka paek boeh.
And I will cast thee out into the wilderness, thee with all the fish of thy streams; upon the open field shalt thou fall; thou shalt not be brought in, nor gathered up: to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven have I given thee for food.
6 To naah Izip kaminawk boih mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah panoek o tih; nihcae loe Israel kaminawk hanah sakrungkung hoiah sak ih cunghet ah oh o boeh.
And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the Lord; because they have been a reed-staff to the house of Israel.
7 Nihcae mah ban hoi ang patawnh o naah, na koih phaem moe, nihcae ih palaeng to na aah pae boih; nang khaeah amha o naah, na koih phaem moe, nihcae hnukbang ih kaeng to na thunh pae, tiah thuih, tiah thui paeh, tiah ang naa.
When they took hold of thee with the hand, thou wast cracked, and didst rend for them all the shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou wast broken, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
8 To pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, nang khaeah sumsen ka sin moe, nang ih kami hoi pacah ih moinawk to ka hum han.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and I will cut off out of thee man and beast.
9 Anih mah, Vapuinawk loe kai ih ni, kaimah ni ka sak, tiah thuih pongah, Izip prae loe amro ueloe, pong sut tih boeh; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tiah panoek o tih.
And the land of Egypt shall be changed into a waste and ruin, and they shall know that I am the Lord; because he hath said, The stream is mine, and I have made it.
10 Khenah, nang hoi nangmah ih vapuinawk to misa ah ka suek; Izip prae loe Migdol hoi Syene karoek to, Ethiopia prae ramri khoek to kam rosak moe, ka pongsak sut han.
Therefore, behold, I will be against thee, and against thy streams, and I will render the land of Egypt a mass of ruins, a waste, and a wilderness, from Migdol to Seveneh even up to the border of Ethiopia.
11 Kami khok hoi moi khok mah to prae to cawh mak ai, saning qui palito thung mi doeh to prae ah om mak ai.
There shall not pass through it the foot of man, and the foot of beast shall not pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited forty years.
12 Kamro praenawk baktiah Izip prae doeh kam rosak han, Izip ih vangpuinawk loe pong sut vangpuinawk salakah saning qui palito thung amro tih; Izip kaminawk to prae kaminawk salakah kam hetsak moe, prae kruekah kang haehsak han, tiah thuih.
And I will render the land of Egypt a desolate land in the midst of desolated countries, and her cities among the cities that are ruined shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
13 Toe Angraeng Sithaw mah, Saning qui palito boeng naah loe, amhet o phanghaih ahmuen kruek ih Izip kaminawk to ka pakhueng let han:
For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, [only] at the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they shall have been scattered;
14 misong ah naeh ih Izip kaminawk to ka zaeh let moe, angmacae ohhaih, Pathros prae ah kam laemsak let han; nihcae loe to ih thazok siangpahrang ukhaih prae ah om o tih.
And I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their own origin: and they shall be there an unimportant kingdom.
15 To prae loe siangpahrang ukhaih praenawk boih thungah thazok koek prae ah om tih, natuek naah doeh kalah praenawk nuiah amoek o mak ai boeh; nihcae mah kalah prae kaminawk uk han ai ah, tha ka zoksak han.
Among the kingdoms it shall be the lowest; neither shall it raise itself any more above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
16 Izip loe Israel imthung takoh mah oep mak ai boeh, nihcae a khet o naah, angmacae sakpazaehaih amtuengsakkung ah om tih boeh; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng Sithaw ni, tiah panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
And it shall be no more unto the house of Israel for a dependence, bringing [their] iniquity to remembrance, when they turned after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Eternal.
17 Saning pumphae sarihto, khrah tangsuek haih, hmaloe koek niah, Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, on the first of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
18 kami capa, Babylon siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar mah Tura vangpui tuk hanah angmah ih misatuh kaminawk to misa angtukhaih ahmuen ah patoeh; to pongah misatuh kaminawk ih sam to angmuen boih moe, palaeng doeh angdui o boih boeh; toe siangpahrang angmah hoi anih ih misatuh kaminawk loe Tura vangpui misatukhaih atho tidoeh hnu o ai:
Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath caused his army to perform a great service against Tyre; every head hath been made bald, and every shoulder hath been rubbed sore: yet no reward hath come to him or to his army from Tyre, for the service that he hath performed against it.
19 to pongah Angraeng Sithaw mah, Khenah, Izip to Babylon siangpahrang Nebuchadnezzar khaeah ka paek han boeh; anih mah prae kaminawk hoi congca hmuenmaenawk to la ueloe, angmah ih misatuh kaminawk hanah misatukhaih atho ah paek tih, tiah thuih.
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will give unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon the land of Egypt; and he shall carry away its multitude, and take its spoil, and plunder its prey: and this shall be the reward for his army.
20 Kai ih tok a sak o pongah, Tura vangpui misatukhaih atho ah Izip prae to anih han ka paek boeh, tiah Angraeng Sithaw mah thuih.
As his recompense for that which he hath served against it, have I given him the land of Egypt, for that which they had done against me, saith the Lord Eternal.
21 To na niah loe Israel imthung takoh to takii ka tacawtsak moe, nihcae salakah pakha kang aangsak han; to naah nihcae mah Kai loe Angraeng ni, tito panoek o tih, tiah thuih.
On that day will I cause to grow a horn for the house of Israel, and unto thee will I open the mouth in the midst of them: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
