1 Angraeng ih lok kai khaeah angzoh,
And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:
2 Tura qah haih laa to sah ah;
'And thou, son of man, lift up concerning Tyre a lamentation, and thou hast said to Tyre:
3 Aw tuipui taengah kaom vangpui, praenawk mah hmuenmae zawhhaih ih ahmuen, Angraeng Sithaw mah, Aw Tura, nang mah, Ka krang hoihaih loe coek koi om ai, tiah na thuih.
O dweller on the entrances of the sea, Merchant of the peoples unto many isles, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: O Tyre, thou — thou hast said: I [am] the perfection of beauty.
4 Na prae angzithaih loe tuipui thungah oh, nang loe sahkungnawk mah coek koi om ai ah sak ih palong ah na oh.
In the heart of the seas [are] thy borders, Thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
5 Nang sak han ih thingpaek loe Senir ih hmaica thing to patoh o moe, palong nui ih kahni payanghaih thing sak hanah Lebanon ih sidar thing to lak o.
Of firs of Senir they have built to thee all thy double-boarded ships, Of cedars of Lebanon they have taken to make a mast for thee,
6 Bashan ih oak thing hoiah palong thoekhaih cung to a sak o; to thing loe Kittim tuipui thung ih prae hoiah a sin o moe, tasaino hoi pathoep ih Ashurite thing hoiah palong imcih to a sak o.
Of oaks of Bashan they made thine oars, Thy bench they have made of ivory, A branch of Ashurim from isles of Chittim.
7 Sahkungnawk mah Izip prae ih aem kaom puu ngan kahni to palong payanghaih kahni ah patoh o moe, Elishah tuipui thung ih prae hoiah sin o ih rong kahing hoi kamling kahni hoiah a nui to khuk o.
Of fine linen with embroidery from Egypt hath been thy sail, To be to thee for an ensign, Of blue and purple from isles of Elishah hath been thy covering.
8 Sidon hoi Arvat ih kaminawk loe nang ih palong thoekkung ah oh o; Aw Tura, nang khaeah kaom palungha kaminawk loe nang loklam patuekkung ah oh o.
Inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad have been rowers to thee, Thy wise men, O Tyre, have been in thee, They [are] thy pilots.
9 Na thungah kaom Gebal ih mitongnawk hoi palungha kaminawk loe palong pakhraikung ah oh o; tuipui ih palongnawk hoi palong thoek kaminawk boih loe nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih toksak hanah ang zoh o.
Elders of Gebal and its wise men have been in thee, Strengthening thy breach; All ships of the sea and their mariners, Have been in thee, to trade [with] thy merchandise.
10 Persia kami, Lud kami hoi Put ih kaminawk loe nang ih misatuh kami ah oh o moe, misatuhkung ah oh o; misa pakaahaih aphaw hoi lumueknawk to a bangh o, to tiah na lensawkhaih to amtueng o sak.
Persian and Lud and Phut Have been in thy forces — thy men of war. Shield and helmet they hung up in thee, They — they have given out thine honour.
11 Arvat ih kaminawk loe nang ih misatuh kaminawk hoi nawnto sipae to takui o moe, misa a toep o; Gammad ih kaminawk loe na misa toephaih imsang to a toep o; na sipaenawk boih nuiah misa pakaahaih aphawnawk to a bangh o; to tiah na kranghoihaih to koep o sak.
The sons of Arvad, and thy force, [Are] on thy walls round about, And short swordsmen in thy towers have been, Their shields they have hung up on thy walls round about, They — they have perfected thy beauty.
12 Hmuenmae hoi nang raeng parai pongah, Tarshish loe nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih sahkung ah oh; sum kanglung, sum, camphaeh hoi atui amkhawk sumnawk to nang hanah ang paek.
Tarshish [is] thy merchant, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For silver, iron, tin, and lead, They have given out thy remnants.
13 Javan, Tubal hoi Meshek thung ih kaminawk doeh nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih tok to sak o; misongnawk, sum kamling laomnawk to nang khaeah ang zawh o.
Javan, Tubal, and Meshech — they [are] thy merchants, For persons of men, and vessels of brass, They have given out thy merchandise.
14 Togarmah kaminawk loe hrangnawk, hrang angthueng kaminawk hoi laa hrangnawk to nang khaeah zawh o.
They of the house of Togarmah, [For] horses, and riding steeds, and mules, They have given out thy remnants.
15 Dedan kaminawk doeh nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih sak o; tuipui thungah kaom pop parai prae kaminawk mah nang ih hmuenmae to ang qan pae o; nihcae mah tasaino hoi eboni to tangqum ah ang paek o.
Sons of Dedan [are] thy merchants, Many isles [are] the mart of thy hand, Horns of ivory and ebony they sent back thy reward.
16 Hmuenmae pop parai ah na pathok pongah Syria doeh nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih to sak toeng; nihcae loe thlung kahing, thlung kamling, aem kaom khukbuen, puu kahni, Koral hoi thlung kathimnawk to a zawh o.
Aram [is] thy merchant, Because of the abundance of thy works, For emerald, purple, and embroidery, And fine linen, and coral, and agate, They have given out thy remnants.
17 Judah hoi Israel doeh nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih sak hoi toeng; nihcae loe Minnith ih takawdip, tunh, khoitui, situi hoi thing tasinawk to nang khaeah ang zawh o.
Judah and the land of Israel — they [are] thy merchants, For wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, And honey, and oil, and balm, They have given out thy merchandise.
18 Hmuenmae hoi nang raeng o parai moe, hmuen pop parai ah na pathok o pongah, Damuscus doeh nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih to sak; Helbon ih mu hoi tuumuinawk to nang khaeah ang zawh o.
Damascus [is] thy merchant, For the abundance of thy works, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 Dan hoi Javan loe nang ih hmuenmae to zawh moe, a qan o; nihcae mah rong kampha sumnawk, hmuihoih thing hoi paciknawk to nang khaeah ang zawh o.
Vedan and Javan go about with thy remnants, They have given shining iron, cassia, and cane, In thy merchandise it hath been.
20 Dedan loe misatukhaih hrang nuiah baih han ih kahoih kahninawk to nang khaeah ang zawh.
Dedan [is] thy merchant, For clothes of freedom for riding.
21 Arab prae hoi Kedar siangpahrang capanawk boih loe nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih sah kami ah oh o; nihcae loe tuu caanawk, tuu taenawk hoi maehnawk to nang khaeah ang zawh o.
Arabia, and all princes of Kedar, They [are] the traders of thy hand, For lambs, and rams, and he-goats, In these thy merchants.
22 Sheba hoi Ramah ih hmuenmae zaw kaminawk loe nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih to sak o; atho kana koek hmuihoih hmuennawk, atho kana thlungnawk boih hoi suinawk to nang khaeah ang zawh o.
Merchants of Sheba and Raamah — they [are] thy merchants, For the chief of all spices, And for every precious stone, and gold, They have given out thy remnants.
23 Haran ih kaminawk, Kanneh ih kaminawk hoi Eden ih kaminawk, Sheba, Asur hoi Kilmad ih hmuenmae zaw kaminawk loe nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih to sak o.
Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, merchants of Sheba, Asshur — Chilmad — [are] thy merchants,
24 Na sak ih hmuenmae zawhhaih thungah, rong kahing khukbuennawk, aem kaom kahninawk, rong congca kaom kahninawk, tlangqui hoi sak ih phaknawk to ang zawh o.
They [are] thy merchants for perfect things, For wrappings of blue, and embroidery, And for treasuries of rich apparel, With cords bound and girded, for thy merchandise,
25 Tarshish ih palongpuinawk mah nang ih hmuenmae ang phawh pae o; to tiah nang loe na len tahang moe, tuipui um li ah na lensawkhaih to amtueng.
Ships of Tarshish [are] thy double walls of thy merchandise, And thou art filled and honoured greatly, In the heart of the seas.
26 Nang ih palong thoek kaminawk mah tuipui thungah ang hoih o; toe ni angzae bang ih takhi mah nang to tuipui um li ah ang vah ving boeh.
Into great waters have they brought thee, Those rowing thee, The east wind hath broken thee in the heart of the seas.
27 Nang raenghaih, na tawnh ih hmuenmaenawk, na zawh ih hmuenmaenawk, tuipui loklam patuekkungnawk, palong pakhraih kaminawk, nang hoi hmuenmae zawhhaih sah kaminawk, misatuh kaminawk, nang khaeah kaom kaminawk loe nam rohaih niah tuipui um li ah krah o boih tih.
Thy wealth and thy remnants, Thy merchandise, thy mariners, And thy pilots, strengtheners of thy breach, And the traders of thy merchandise, And all thy men of war, who [are] in thee, And in all thine assembly that [is] in thy midst, Fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy fall,
28 Nang ih tuipui loklam patuekkungnawk ih hanghaih lok pongah, tui taeng ih hmuennawk mataeng doeh anghuen o tih.
At the voice of the cry of thy pilots shake do the suburbs.
29 Palong thoekhaih cung kasin, palong thoek kaminawk hoi tuipui loklam patuekkungnawk boih loe, palongpui thung hoiah anghum o ueloe, saoeng ah angdoe o tih;
And come down from their ships have all handling an oar, Mariners, all the pilots of the sea, on the land they stand,
30 nang to na hang o thuih ueloe, qah o tih; lu nuiah maiphu ang phuih o ueloe, maiphu pongah asawt o tih:
And have sounded for thee with their voice, And cry bitterly, and cause dust to go up on their heads, In ashes they do roll themselves.
31 Lu sam aat o boih ueloe, kazii angzaeng o tih; palung boeng, palungsethaih hoiah na qah o thui tih.
And they have made for thee baldness, And they have girded on sackcloth, And they have wept for thee, In bitterness of soul — a bitter mourning.
32 Na nuiah palungnat hoi ang qah o thuih naah, Tuipui um li ah kamro, Tura vangpui baktiah mi maw om tih? tiah qahhaih zuklaeng hoi na qah o haih tih.
And lifted up for thee have their sons a lamentation, And they have lamented over thee, who [is] as Tyre? As the cut-off one in the midst of the sea?
33 Nang ih hmuenmaenawk tuipui thung hoiah tacawt naah, pop parai kaminawk to nang hoesak; paroeai hmuennawk hoiah long nui ih siangpahrangnawk to nang raengsak.
With the outgoing of thy remnants from the seas, Thou hast filled many peoples, With the abundance of thy riches, and thy merchandise, Thou hast made rich things of earth.
34 Vaihi kathuk tuipui thungah nam ro naah, na zawh ih hmuenmaenawk hoi nang khaeah kaom kaminawk loe amtimh o boih tih.
The time of [thy] being broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, Thy merchandise and all thy assembly in thy midst have fallen.
35 Tuipui thungah kaom prae kaminawk boih loe na nuiah kaom hmuen pongah dawnrai o tih, siangpahrangnawk mikhmai sae o ueloe, tasoeh takuenhaih hoiah om o tih.
All inhabitants of the isles have been astonished at thee, And their kings have been sore afraid, They have been troubled in countenance.
36 Hmuenmae zaw kaminawk mah prae kaminawk boih salakah nang to padaeng o tih, nang loe zit kaom kami ah na om ueloe, dungzan ah nang hmaa tih boeh, tiah thuih tiah, thuih paeh, tiah ang naa.
Merchants among the peoples have shrieked for thee, Wastes thou hast been, and thou art not — to the age!'
